Posting your picture on the internet...

Silver Lining

Recommended Posts

Alright. I recently came across the thread: "Post a picture of the REAL you!", and without hesitation, posted a false picture which was not of myself, for the following reason:

Technology is getting powerful- anyone can photo shop your picture, and you can never take it back. Here is an example of what happened to a boy who posted his picture on his flikr account: http://www.francesfarmersrevenge.com/stuff/archive/oldnews6/post/

And another of a girl who's picture was photo shopped and put into a porn advertisements (and it doesn't show the picture- sorry for the disappointment.)

I think that the thread should be locked. If people post their pictures here, it seems innocent enough- but there are people out there, and we don't want to be responsible if something were to happen, right? That's my opinion.

Discuss.

(Oh yes, and while I'm at it, check this out. lol. http://www.ebaumsworld.com/pictures/view/1057445/)
