Hydra of Ages
Alright, second build. Thanks to the people who offered suggestions.I dropped the entire Phalax Pike thing, (My original idea was that Primsa could copy Skull Servant, then get equipped with Phalax Pike for massive damage. In retrospect, perhaps a bit difficult to pull off...), and took a lot of Raikoh's suggestions. This any better? Probably not the best, but the only way to make a good deck is to first make a lot of crappy decks and learn from the mistakes, I suppose. Raikoh
SKULL SERVENT DECK: Monsters (20):--------------Skull Servant x3King of the Skull Servants x3Lady in Wright x3Zombie Master x3Goblin Zombie x2Pyramid Turtle x2Il Blud x2Plaguespreader Zombie x1Mezuki x1 Spells (14):-----------Monster Reborn x1Heavy Storm x1Giant Trunade x1Foolish Burial x2Brain Control x1Allure of Darkness x2Book of Moon x2Book of Life x3Terraforming x1Zombie World x3 Traps (6):----------Bottomless Trap Hole x2Solemn Judgment x3Torrential Tribute x1 Extra Deck (15):----------------Armory Arm x1Black Rose Dragon x1Colossal Fighter x1Dark Strike Fighter x1Doomkaiser Dragon x1Gaia Knight, the Force of Earth x2Goyo Guardian x1Magical Android x2Revived King Ha Des x2Stardust Dragon x2Thought Ruler Archfiend x1 This should help your deck. Synchros are easy to use. Just have a Tuner Monster on the field and another monster of the field to synchro. You send the monsters on the field to the Graveyard to Summon the Synchro and they must be both have = amount of Stars as the Synchro Monster's Level. Simple huh? Akira
One for One is a stupid terrible card. Look at Tronta's build.
Raikoh
Damn, your right. One for One does suck. I will edit it. EDIT: I forgot Book of Life. Replaced 3 "One for One" with them.
Hydra of Ages
?How is One for One bad in a Skull Servant deck? It automatically gets any of my Kings out, possibly with a bonus right off the bat. (By the way, I should mention, I loath it when people write off specific cards I've included in any of my decks as horrible without explaining why. If I put it in the deck in the first place, I evidently don't think it's horrible, so it's pointless to convince me otherwise without giving just cause...) Akira
It's a -1 and Goblin Zombie+Pyramid Turtle are vastly superior for searching King, not to mention they synergise with Creature Swap, which should definitely be ran in Skull Servants as well. Hydra of Ages
Fair enough. But isn't -1 inevitable and nearly necessary in a deck emphasizing getting certain monsters in the grave anyway? I like the Creature swap though.
Akira
I suppose in a way it's unavoidable in many circumstances, but still even something like hunt Skull with Goblin then ditch with LV or Wing Blast is just better because you're getting removal out of it too. Hydra of Ages
Eh fine, I see where you're coming from, looking over Goblin Zombie's effect and whatnot. That, alongside Pyramid Turtle and Zombie Master, probably should be good for searching them out. Let's see, what else... I'm a little hesitant about removing Opti. Equip spells are generally crap, I know, but without it have to rely on getting an empty field for a OTK. There any way around that?
Spiff!
I see your point.Imagine... Graceful Revival->Skull Servant->IRS->King->Sword of the Soul-Eater->Opti-Cam Armour. 6000 dmg in one turn.it can be an OTK if you have 2 Lady in Wight/KotSS in your Grave Already. dead draw
creature swap would be nice
Hydra of Ages
Alright, thanks for all the help. I put up my second draft of the deck, any better? My main issue is that King, my massive beatstick, loses his direct attacks without Opti, and I don't have a way to clear the field with this deck. Akira
You could always run Lightning Vortex.
Hydra of Ages
Meh, I could... what to neg though?
dead draw
you're better with creature swap. let's say opponent has 1 monster, you have King and CSswap King for opponents monster.King's attack becomes 0 because opponent (hopefully) doesn't have any Skull Servants in the grave (the irony)revive King via effect and attack directly
Hydra of Ages
True, which is why I have Creature Swap at 3 (I had the oddest inkling that it was Semi-Lim... wonder why, Ah well.). Unfortunately, it isn't all that helpful if the opponent is running a Swarm deck that is so popular these days, or else has more than 1 monster on the field. So I'm thinking of running a Lightning Vortex or something to clear the opponent's field.
dead draw
this is true. so neg Book of Moon. If you're playing against swarm then it doesn't do you that much good.add Vortex and maybe 3rd Bottomless
Hydra of Ages
Mhm... true. Moon's usually good utility, but I can't see many uses for it in this type of deck.Negged it for Lightning Vortex. Thinking about negging something else to make room for Bottomless.
