Card Lore:

1 Tuner + 1 non-Tuner Spellcaster Type Monsters

When this card is successfully Synchro Summoned, place one Spell Counter on this card. You can remove 1 Spell Counter to increase the ATK of one Spirit Type Monster by 1000 and that Monster does not have to return to your Hand. The targeted Monster cannot attack your Opponent directly and is destroyed in 2 Turns. When this card is destroyed by battle, destroy all Spirit Type Monsters on your side of the field who were Special Summoned by this cards effect. Then place one "Demon Token"(Fiend-Type/DARK/Level 2/ATK 1000/DEF 1000). This token cannot be destroyed by battle and is destroyed in 3 turns.

Card Lore:

1 Tuner + 1 or more Spirit monsters

While this card remains face-up, a Spirit monster is not returned to your hand during the End Phase it was Normal Summoned, Flip Summoned, or Special Summoned. If there is a face-up Spell Card you control in the same column as a Spirit monster you control, that monster can attack your opponent directly by destroying that Spell Card. If there is a face-up Trap Card you control in the same column as a Spirit monster you control, that monster is not destroyed by battle by destroying that Trap Card.

So... I'm guessing they were suppose to make a Spellcaster Synchro that assists Spirits?

Or maybe it was a coincidence they were both Spellcasters.

Anyway, my vote goes to...

Card B, I think.

Both pretty good, no doubt about it. But Card A has no ways to regain Spell Counters on it's lonesome. Yes 1000 points is a lot, but Spirit monsters find it hard to maintain a field presence anyway, and the fact that they can't attack directly made it pretty balanced anyway. Also, I'm pretty sure 'placing' a Token on the field isn't quite right.

Card B is... Interesting. It has the whole maintaining Spirit presence like those other cards, not too original admittedly, but also destroying face-up cards in the same row to gain an effect (minus monsters, which could have made it a tad OPed).

So yeah, both neat, but I'll go with Card B.

As usual, thanks for a very descriptive vote. I'll PM you to vote when the finals for the battle of the belt is up by last week of June^_^

Card A:

Balance: A good help to Spirit monsters, though 1000 might be a little high & not returning to your hand too? But it does get destroyed in 2 turns, so I guess that works out. The token defense seems pretty good; I'd use this card in a last-resort moment just for that. XD - 9/10

Other: Needs gold sticker for 1st edition, or leave the circulation blank. - 3/5

Total: 23/30

Card B

Balance: Another help for Spirits. (Guessing that's the theme of the match, right?) Only this card seems more stable, in terms of balance, than the 1st card. - 9.5/10

OCG: Spirit Monster | I'm unsure on some other things, but I very seldom work with effects like that, so I'm assuming its correct - 9.5/10

Other: Eh... it was supposed to be all numbers in the Set ID, but I won't mark off for it. - 5/5

Total: 29/30
