Dragoonza Posted June 14, 2009 Report Share Posted June 14, 2009 Hello everyone, my friends recently dragged me back into yugioh after leaving almost 2 years ago. To say the least, the shear amount of new cards scares me haha, but one caught my eye, "Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem" a fusion of my favorite card from the last pack that I had really gotten into. So, speeding things up, I decided I'd make my first card, a synchro of "Ancient Gear Golem" in hopes that one day, more Ancient Gear cards will be released. Effect/rules :1 "Ancient Gear Grenadier" + 1 or more non-Tuner "Ancient Gear" monsters. If this card were to Special Summoned except by Synchro Summon, the effect's controller must remove one "Ancient Gear" monster they control from play. When this card is Synchro Summoned, choose one of the following effects: - You may discard a "Ancient Gear" card from your hand to negate the effect of a spell card that target's this card and destroy it. - Negate the effect(s) of a monster destroyed in battle by this card. This cards name is always treated as "Ancient Gear Golem". If this card attacks, your opponent cannot activate any Spell or Trap Cards until the end of the Damage Step. Quite the eye sore on the actual card =P I tried to make sure the wording was true to yugioh, however, i wouldn't be surprised if I made a few errors.If an artist would be willing to create an image for it, that would be wonderful, i didnt add one because I don't like to steal images and paste them on something,whether its a fictional piece like this or not. Of course, suggestions and help fine-tuning is always appreciated.Currently already thinking his attack is to high, since getting rid of ultimate, then summoning this without having to remove one of your guys from play (due to ultimate's effect) would be near ridiculous I would think. ragnarok1945 Posted June 14, 2009 Report Share Posted June 14, 2009 3800 atk and immunity to your opponent's monster effects, cannot be targeted by your opponent's spell cards, along with the no spell/traps activated during the battle phase makes it far too OP and way too easy for a OTK. I suggest you remove the monster effect immunity right away[/quote'] Well it's a choice between spell targeting or monster effects.Maybe change it to monsters this card destroys by battle instead?And yeah, I'm thinking 3200, it doesn't pierce like the other gear golems though ofc.Thank you very much already.hmm...maybe discard one "Ancient Gear" card to negate the effect of a spell card that target's this card, and destroy it.Gonna stop brainstorming and hear your input again xD. I also recommend changing the ATK and DEF to like 3000 ATK and 2600 DEF, with about 8 Stars. [spoiler=OCG Fixes]1 "Ancient Gear Grenadier" + 1 or more non-Tuner "Ancient Gear" monsters.If this card were to Special Summoned except by Synchro Summon, the effect's controller must remove one "Ancient Gear" monster they control from play.When this card is Synchro Summoned, choose one of the following effects:- This card can't be the target of your opponent's Spell cards. Pay 1000 Life points during each of your standby phase, or sacrifice this card.- This card is immune to your opponent's monster card effects.This cards name is always treated as "Ancient Gear Golem". If this card attacks, your opponent cannot activate any Spell or Trap Cards until the end of the Damage Step. Now to the ratings: Pic - N/AName - 8/10.Effect - 9/10.Total - 17/20. Well, due to it's level, you'd need a gear golem, or two soldiers for the synchro, since it's ancient gear's only, so i figured a slightly higher attack would be fair-ish, especially since he doesn't have piercing(Ultimate has a whopping 4400)And yes, I'll be changing that now.
