Bill.kx
NUMBER 1 Normal Monsters: Introduction (Part 1) I’m Back and Busier then Ever Hello, everyone! This is Daniel again, and before I get into what I will be talking about today, I want to tell all of you about why I didn’t write any articles for pojo.com over the last 8 months. So let’s talk about that first. Now, the main reason that I did not write any articles over the past 8 months was because I was very busy with school and a few other things that I do not want to tell all of you. Also, all of you should know that as the school year goes on, I will have less and less time to write articles for pojo.com. This also includes responding to any e-mails that some of you may send to me in the future. Speaking of e-mails, I know that I did receive some e-mails that I did not respond to. So for those of you that sent me e-mails, I apologize for not answering to them. However, if it will help me, from this moment on, only send me e-mails that are about whether or not you like my articles, and I will see if I can respond to them as quickly as possible. Also, I am working on a new format for responding back to e-mails, but I’ll let all of you know about that at the end of the article. Anyway, let’s get back to the article. Today, I’m going to start a series of articles about normal monsters. That’s right, everyone. The next few articles that I will be writing will talk about normal monsters and all of the cards that support them. Today’s article will be part #1 of a three-part introduction to normal monsters. In part #1, which is this article, I will be talking about level 4 or lower normal monsters that could work in a normal monster deck if you plan on building one. Part #2 will talk about normal monsters that are level 5 or above and will work great in the deck, but that will be for next time. So everyone, let’s start talking about the level 4 or lower normal monsters that will work great for this deck type. Can You Wrap this Warwolf, Please? Now, the first normal monster that I want to talk about with all of you today is Gene-Warped Warwolf. This monster is an EARTH beast-warrior type monster with 2000 ATK and 100 DEF. As you can tell, this monster has 2000 ATK, which is high enough to destroy almost every level 4 or lower monster you will see in every tournament. Speaking of level 4 monsters, this monster is level 4, which means that you will be able to summon it without having to tribute any monsters. Also, with many of your opponents running less and less monster revival cards expect for Dark Armed Dragon these days, it will be able to stay on the field for a while. Anyway, the main reason why I selected this card to talk about first was because it will work great in a normal monster deck, including all of the other cards that I will be talking about today. If you manage to combine Gene-Warped Warwolf with spell and trap cards that support normal monsters, then you may be able to win a duel using the deck type. Okay? Now everyone, let’s move on to the next card that I want to talk about with all of you. You Archfiend The second card that I want to talk about is Archfiend Soldier. This monster is a DARK fiend-type monster with 1900 ATK and 1500 DEF. Again, since this monster has high ATK, it will be able to destroy almost every level 4 or lower monster you will see in every tournament. Plus, it is a level 4 monster itself, which means that you can summon it without having to tribute any monsters. However, there is a reason why I have selected this card to talk about. So let’s talk about that. Now, like I mentioned earlier, since this monster is a DARK attribute monster, it can be use with cards that support DARK monsters, and I would say that there are hundreds of them. Allure of Darkness is one of the cards that use them. If any of you don’t know Allure of Darkness’s effect, here it is: Draw 2 cards, and then remove from play 1 DARK monster card in your hand. If you don’t have any DARK monster cards in your hand to remove from play, then send you entire hand to the graveyard. Basically, this card allows you to draw more cards from your deck at the cost of a DARK monster card in your hand, which is great. However, be aware that if have no dark monsters in you hand, you’ll lose your entire hand. Okay, I’m now done talking about Archfiend Solider. So let’s move on to the third and final card that I will be talking about today. Let’s Play Football Okay everyone, the final card that I will be talking about today is Battle Footballer. This monster is a FIRE machine-type monster with 1000 ATK and 2100 DEF. Now, since this monster has high DEF, it will be able to survive a lot of attacks from your opponent’s high ATK monsters like the ones we talked about earlier. Just watch out for your opponent’s card effects, which could destroy it. (Before I forgot, it is a level 4 monster, which means it can be set without tributes.) Anyway, this monster can work in a normal monster deck due to its high DEF. It can survive a lot of your opponent’s attacks with the help of some support cards. Plus, you will get easy tributes with this card if you can keep it on the field long enough. So overall, this card may see some use in a normal monster deck. Final Thoughts Overall, the three cards that I just talked about could find some use in a normal monster deck. All of them can be use with the normal monster support spell and trap cards. Plus, some popular cards can be used with them as well. Either way, all of you should be able to find the right cards to use with the monsters we talked about today. Okay everyone, I’m done with this article. So now, let’s talk about the new e-mail system that I mention earlier in this article. Okay? You Got E-Mail Now, my new e-mail system will go like this: a) From this moment on, whenever I get e-mails from readers like you, I will pick 1 or 2 random e-mails from all the e-mails I get by the time I finish an article and respond to them at the end of the article that I finished. That way, I wouldn’t have to waste time writing several e-mails just to answer some or all of the e-mails that I get, and all of you who read the next article can see what type of e-mails I get. b) Try to keep your e-mails as close to 2 paragraphs as possible. Someone else in my house checks our e-mails everyday and, regardless who the e-mail is for, that person always deletes our e-mails as soon as he/she is finished with the e-mails. However, he/she always prints my e-mails out for me, but I always have to waste time recopying them into the article. This is why I’m asking all of you to keep your e-mails short, simple, and easy for me to copy them into my articles. c) From this moment on, I won’t be fixing any more decks until further notice. In other words, if I receive any deck fixes from any of you, they will go into the trash can. The main reason I am not going to fix any more decks is because I am busy with school every weekday, and I can only find enough time to write the series of articles about normal monsters for now. So please everyone, no more deck fixes until I manage to find time to start them again. Okay? Okay everyone, I think that should be enough information about my new e-mail system for answering e-mails. And with that comes the end of this article. In my next article of this three-part series, I will be talking about some normal monsters that are level 5 or higher. I’ll try to have that article up as soon as possible, okay? If not, expect to see it by the end of November or in early December. NUMBER 2 Warrior Synchro - Wiiman Hi people, I haven't been up to date in a while. So I'm giving you this little treat. Warriors have massive special summoning and recruiting(getting monsters from deck to field)powers. Now 2 that I can think of right now are Jutte Fighter and Junk Synchron. Warrior SynchroMonsters: 23 Cyber Dragon x1Raiza x1Caius x2 Jutte Fighter x2Rose x2Maurding Captain x3Junk Synchron x3Spell Striker x3Quilbolt Hedgehog x2Exiled Force x2Command Knight x2 Spells: 11Reinforcement of the Army x3MST x1The A. Forces x2Swords of Revealing Light x1Lightning Vortex x1Warrior Returning Alive x1Double Summon x2 Traps: 8Scrap-Iron Scarecrow x2Solemn Judgement x3Mirror Force x1 Trap Dustshoot x1Torrential Tribute x1 So that's the line up. This screams Special Summon. Activate just summon Maurding Captain + Junk Warrior = Instant Goyu. Summon Kuraz and destroy two monsters then Synchro Summon for a Colossal with 3000+ ATK. So since there is so much potential with Rose to summon anything from your Synchro arsenal(I'll leave that up to you). The traps are basic except Scrap Iron but, he protects your little kids. A lot of potential for special summoning. ROTA + Spell Striker = easy special summon. Pick up SS and summon and synchronize with Jutte or Junk for instant Synchro. Quilbolt is an easy summon considering you can Maurding Captain a Jutte and synchronize. "Final statement 30 seconds: So much potential for synchronizing and special summoning. After coming to full understanding of what it does, and seeing a (failed) attempt to create an OTK out of it, I rebuilt the design so that it works as Chain Material is supposed to. Here’s the decklist. Monsters: 18Catapult Turtle x2Mother Grizzly x3Blue Eyes White Dragon x3Summoned Skull x3Red-Eyes Black Dragon x3Dark Magician x2Buster Blader x2 Spells: 19Fusion Gate x3Terraforming x3Dimension Explosion x3Magical Mallet x3Reasoning x1Ancient Rules x3 Traps: 3Chain Material x3 Extra Deck: 15Dark Paladin x3Black Skull Dragon x3Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon x3Red Dragon Archfiend x2Stardust Dragon x2Thought Ruler Archfiend x2 The deck is basically a revamped, legal version of the Magical Scientist OTK, but with much, MUCH bigger monsters. You see, instead of summoning puny 2200 or 2100 ATK 6-star monsters, I’m summoning 4500 12-star monsters! The way it works is this: Chain Material basically lets you Fusion Summon using monsters from your deck as the materials instead of monsters from your hand or field. The catch? The materials are removed from play rather than sent to the graveyard, the Fusion monster(s) die at the end of the turn, and you can’t attack the turn you activate Chain Material. How do you get around it then? Simple: you tribute them off for damage instead of attacking with them. So first turn, set Mother Grizzly and Chain Material. If Grizzly dies in battle, you get Catapult Turtle from your deck. Next turn, you activate Chain Material and Fusion Gate, and let the Fusions fly! Since the materials would be removed from play anyway, Fusion Gate doesn’t harm you, and its multiple-fusion effect is what makes this deck work. So you Fuse the three Blue-Eyes White Dragon in your deck to form Blue-Eyes Ultimate, then tribute it for 2250 damage. Repeat with the three Black Skull Dragon, removing a Summoned Skull and a Red-Eyes B. Dragon each time, and tributing each B. Skull Dragon for 1600 damage. 1600*3=4800+2250=7050. In four monsters, you have accomplished what took Magical Scientist seven monsters and 7000 LP. But you’re not done. No sir. Now you fusion summon Dark Paladin, and with four dragons in the grave (BEUD + 3 B. Skull Dragon), it gains 2000 ATK, putting it at 4900, higher than BEUD. Tribute that bad boy for 2450 damage and game (7050 +2450 = 9500). Alternatively, you can actually Fusion Summon the monsters if you don’t have Catapult Turtle, and then Dimension Explosion them to bring back two RFG monsters, including the Fusion Materials. For example, you can Fusion Summon B. Skull Dragon, and then use Dimension Explosion to bring back Summoned Skull and Red-Eyes B. Dragon, which will stay on the field. In addition, bringing two monsters back from the RFG pile to tribute with Catapult Turtle is more effective than simply tributing the Fusion monster itself. If you really wanted, you could replace the Reasoning with Return from the Different Dimension, as that would give you a pretty good OTK if you had enough monsters removed. It might slow it down a bit, but once your opponent caught on to your game, you might as well. So, what do you think? Genius? Stupid? Somewhere in between? Or maybe you don’t have an opinion on this deck, but want a deck fix. Fine by me. I take any and all comments/suggestions/criticisms/conversations/deck fixes. I’m flexible, and I answer every email I get. NUMBER 6 Darksworns(or Twilight) - Wiiman Hello peoples, one and all the marvelous day we call the 4th birthday of the banlist. Without it everybody would still be running Yata-Lock. Thank God. Anyway, so to commemorate this date I've decided to make a deck that people have brushed up on, but slight to none play. I call it Darksworns because it utilized Lightsworns to use there major dumping power and DARK's for there major special summoning abilities. Darksworns: 40 Monsters:24Celestia, Lightsworn Angel x2Caius, The Shadow Monarch x2Dark Armed Dragon x2D-Hero Malicious x3D-Hero Dasher x2Darklord Zerato x1 Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter x2Ehren, Lightsworn Monk x2Wulf, Lightsworn Beast x2Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner x2Armageddon Knight x2Dark Grepher x2 Spells: 8Allure of Darkness x2Solar Recharge x2Heavy Storm x1 Monster Reborn x1Lightning Vortex x1MST x1 Traps: 8Solemn Judgement x3Torrential Tribute x1EftDD x1Mirror Force x1Trap Dustshoot x1Escape From the Different Dimension x1 So 40 cards. You may possibly deck out by your third turn. The deck goes a hundred miles an hour. If you have both Celestia on the field you have basically won the duel. They feed each other. Lumina kills by destroying two cards and dumping four which will dump monsters in the graveyard. Then when the DARK monsters go into the graveyard, DAD turns into a machine gun. If you get two monsters into the grave then you have a +3. The reasons I did not include a JD(You may include one if you wish) is because you only have 5 different Lightsworns in the deck and getting four is very difficult. You always have a tribute with Malicious and you have Dasher to summon Celestia or himself or somebody else. If you notice I also didn't but a D-Draw because you don't have enough room in the deck for more D-Heroes.(Side Note: Have you ever noticed they have made a discard one, draw two card for about everyone except G-Beasts!!!)To those of you who use Vanquishing Light stop, we have Horn of Heaven and Dark Horn of Heaven for your negating needs because they are only about $5.00 and we run 3 Solemns. We have Ryko to destroy one card and dump for the +2. We have Lumina to discard a DARK monster and get a Lightsworn for the +2. Ehren is Ehren, she just dislocate your opponents defense and dump. +2. I think we have enough draw power and the spells and traps are basically just staples. There's noy much more to cover. NUMBER 7 Light and Darkness Dragon is back....... - Gus Well, after nearly 2 years, the best deck around, the deck that has won many Shonen Jump Championships, and achieve to get to the 8 of The World Championship want a remach, want to take his place, want to be the King once Again. This deck if u construct right,it can kill even the Tele-Dad.but now tha Dark-Armed is Deck,it is back....Unfortunately we will have no D-Hero Engine but we must never forget The Herald Creation combo as well as Chaos Sorcerer so i will Provide u 2 decks with Ladd, one with an ok D-Hero Engine(without commander?),and one with Herald Creator,so lets get started..... CrabHelmet
Also' date=' with many of your opponents running less and less monster revival cards expect for Dark Armed Dragon these days, it will be able to stay on the field for a while.[/quote'] I hate it when my opponent uses Dark Armed Dragon to Special Summon monsters from the Graveyard. Also, I love how he dresses these up as great words of wisdom, when the article basically amounts to "HERE ARE THREE NORMAL MONSTERS WITH DECENT STATS THAT YOU ALL SHOULD ALREADY KNOW ABOUT IF YOU RUN NORMAL MONSTERS YOU SHOULD RUN THEM KTHXBAI".
