I need an opinion

Recommended Posts

A few months back, I stopped playing the Yugioh TCG. Mainly for two reasons.

  • It was getting boring for me.
  • I was tired of wasting money on cards.

This weekend, my family is having a yard sale, and I plan to sale my Yu-Gi-Oh cards. Anyways, I need an opinion. Is the game still as fun as it was, say, 3 or 4 years ago ? Or has it gotten boring ? If I get positive responses, I may start playing again.

I play Online, and that's as fun as it is IRL, so I guess since you don't need the cards for online play you can earn some money on them. And some tips, look through your collection of cards, since there's some cards that's worth a real lot, you may earn some real cash on them!

i hate when ppl say u waist money if u buy cards. if u win with the cards u buy then it wasn't a waist, it was a good investment. i spent about $170 on my JDs and honests about 5 months ago and by winning with them i have made about $180 back give or take i know i already won the money i put into it... even though i traded and sold all my LS stuff off.

Do i still fined yugioh fun yes because im winning... but i think the Kitty meta is ridiculous.

I don't play YGO, mainly because the nearest shop where you can buy specific cards is in Copenhagen... 300 kilometres away:( And I dn't t get all the sucky cards by ying packs in my local bookstores, and they only have CRMS and CSOC anyways...

YVD has everything.

I've heard some pretty good things about DMU too. But seriously, YVD.

As a game DMU is better. The only bad thing about it is that it's filled with noobs. Today I dueled a Amazon/Harpie/Burn/Exodia/Synchro/Beatdown/FINAL deck that used 1st,2nd and 3rd sarco without the Pharaoh ...

@Wolf: Kitty should wait a bit before it becomes meta.

TCG synhros suck compared to OCG. For level 5 we only have Android and for Level 6 Goyo ... and some useless stuff.

I quit YGO a couple months back, i haven't regretted it yet, especially with how obnoxious the meta seems as I watch it at my locals.

My suggestion to you, though, is if you're going to sell your cards, don't sell them at a yard sale. That goes for pretty much anything, people at yard sales will haggle and haggle no matter how cheap you're selling it for. At my community's last yard sale, we were selling an old corded phone for 50 cents. A lady came up and honestly tried to haggle us down to 25 cents. If you want to get anything out of the cards, do ebay. I went onto another ccg after Yugioh, so I traded a lot of my cards for cards in that game at my locals. Both are better options than a yard sale, though.

I Got 3 plasma screens, sold 3 old TVs(a few years old each) for ( smallest $30) (middle-sized $50) and (large $70). There was a man who came and thought about buying them and once he heard the prices, he walked off. He then proceded to come back, and he asked me to drop the prices. I told him the lowest pirces I would go to were $20, $40, and $50. He said no. He walked off, came back, and asked if I would sell all of them for $50. I was sick of him bothering me, and I needed the cash, so I sold them all for $50.

So yeah, don't sell them at a yard sale. I find yugioh to be a great way to spend time and money.
