And here I was thinking sorcerors would be the intelligent portion of the world. Just the reverse, it would seem. These people didn't even recognize the tremendous levels of pure power they would be wielding were they able to simply focus on the tasks at hand. A skilled sorceror can annihilate a city in a few words! Do they somehow not yearn for this power? Hmph. I, at least, will advance with all possible speed — and effectiveness; after all, mastery of small spells can work wonderfully even against powerful opponents if they're wielded skillfully. Since I've gotten here, my every action has been focused on the total mastery of sorcery. I hardly expect that dedication, but at least a bit of enthusiasm for the concept of virtual omnipotence...! Instead, they simply screw around with their foolish music and fluctuating emotions.
