...~ Tide ~...

I decided to start on a clean slate for how I go with decks and I have had the most marvelous luck with a water structure deck I re-vamped before the tourney and won with.

Tide

Tribute Monsters:

1x Levia-Dragon Daedalus

1x Ocean Dragon Lord - Neo Daedalus

1x B.E.S. Crystal Core

1x Mobius, the Frost Monarch

1x Terrorking Salmon

1x Giga Gagagigo

1x Legendary Fisherman

Other Monsters:

3x Mother Grizzly

2x Sea Serpent Warrior of Darkness

1x Unshaven Angler

1x Yomi Ship

1x 7 Colored Fish

1x Amphibious Bugroth MK-3

1x Warrior of Atlantis

1x Breaker the Magical Warrior (He breaks S/T okay)

1x Lekunga

1x Maiden of the Aqua

Spells:

3x A Legendary Ocean/Atlantis

2x Reload

2x Salvage

1x Mystical Space Typhoon

1x Level Limit - Area B

1x Creature Swap

1x Hammer Shot

1x Premature Burial

1x Big Wave Small Wave

1x Heavy Storm

Traps:

2x Dust Tornado

1x Tornado Wall

1x Gravity Bind

1x Spell Shield Type - 8

1x Torrential Tribute

1x Call of the Haunted

1x Xing Zhen Hu

Win/Loss Ratio In Tourney: 6/1

Decks I dueled against in 3 rounds:

1st Round - Bad Kind of Broken Deck

2nd Round - Volcanic Burn Deck

3rd Round - Exodia Stall Deck

1st Round:

The kid I was dueling had to be the newest player to Yu-Gi-Oh I had ever seen, he was running way to many high level monsters, incomplete combos, none of the fusion material monsters and really didn't stand much of a chance (Not bragging since I actually asked to look at his hand and made the best move decisions for him with what he had in hand)

Match Win/Loss Ratio: 2-0

2nd Round:

Boy, hell, I was enjoying every second of this match since a funny joke was it was FIRE v.s. WATER. Her deck was Beatdown/Monster Destruction/Burn all wrapped up in one. She beat me in the 1st duel and I won the next 2, funny thing is my LP were right at 1000 LP on the 3rd duel which was tough.

Match Win/Loss Ratio: 2-1

3rd Round:

Beat this dudes Exodia deck with my only available weapon in both duels... Bugroth + Legendary Ocean, sad really since I never drew any S/T destruction cards or Daedalus, in duel 1 he revealed he had 4/5 pieces while in the 2nd duel he had 3/5.

Match Win/Loss Ratio: 2-0

The pack I picked (Tactical Evolution) didn't have much interest (Weirdly I pulled the fusion of Marine Dolphin + Neo Spacian Aqua Dolphin) and pulled a super rare Blazewing Butterfly, Amulet of Ambition and a normal rare Grasschopper (Odd since thats 2 rares in a pack)

Later that same day I traded some Premium Pack 1 cards I got on Nov 3rd at the Sneak Peak for a Doom Shaman and Sunrise Gardna.

I was going to trade earlier before the tourney for a Cranium Fish + Ocean's Keeper for some of my P.P.1 cards but the guy said he couldn't find Ocean's Keeper so I canceled the trade since Cranium Fish is only good with Ocean's Keeper.

Please Rate this deck 1-5, 1-Supreme Sucky, 3-Average, 5-Regionial/Shonen Jump Tourney Worthy

As well I only request no flaming, I don't need that, I need ideas to help this deck grow.

Ironically I did work off the structure just it had a unusable strategy since 1x Gravity Bind, 1x Tribe Infecting Virus, 1x Snatch Steal and another card aren't T2 legal so I switcheroo the strategy to more a water beat.

-1 Xing Zhen Hu

-1 Lekunga

-1 7 Colored Fish

+1 Tornado Wall

+1 Cranium Fish

+1 Warrior of Atlantis

~Bump~

Okay I know I found another good fishy for the deck, called Abyssal Kingshark, whats great about this little fish is although he is a 4 star lv4 (Not bad since with Legendary out hes a lv 3 1900 ATK) he cannot once per a turn be destroyed by effects that DON'T Target as in I could summon him and activate Torrential Tribute to make a similar Dark Hole effect of having a monster out for damage purposes

why do you have legendary fisherman? he's not that good

He is when used right, while Legendary Ocean is out you can summon him as a Lv4 with 2050 attack, to further the boosts while Umi is out he cannot be the target of battle or by spells which means even if the opponent has Chimeratech Over Dragon out your opponent cannot attack.

SB Swaps:

-2 Sea Serpent Warrior of Darkness

+2 King Mist

King Mist

Water

7

Spellcaster/effect

You can optionally tribute 1 or no monsters at all when you normal summon this card. The ATK of this card becomes equal to the total combined original ATK of the combined monster(s) used to Tribute summon it. While this card is face up on the field, tributes cannot be made under any circumstance.

And yet he is immune to spells to such Lighting Vortex, Fissure, Messenger of Peace, Level Limit - Area B which gives him a distinct advantage although you can take damage (Yet when your running a Water deck you are likely to draw Tornado Wall which is just the same as you can't touch the LP but you have attacker) Snipe Hunter has some bad quality's to like its ATK can be the worse at times as certain virus cards can kill it, certain cards can nullify his precious effect yet you know what, people use it for the quality's it has that still make it good material, so even if my Fishermen lets me straight to battle damage he stands on the field as a way to inflict extra damage without 2/4 of the reasons why monsters get killed (Monster Effect, Spell Effect, Trap Effect, Battle) and their are ways around it like with 3x Warrior of Atlantis your bound to draw it, premature burial/call of the haunted and the Fisherman which gives you extra strength (3850 damage total on the field and 1 of which is as strong as a cyber dragon)

My point is, their are ways around a card's bad quality's, monarchs may not look like they have any bad quality's yet they do as they require tribute, if they didn't require tribute *Snaps Fingers* they would hit the ban list that fast. Legendary Fisherman is no exception to what is good and bad.
