If I killed myself' date=' it would not make a large impact, so to all those who have posted 'kill yourself' or will do, please stop. I am trying to say, this planet [s']would[/s] COULD! flourish without man, many more species would exist, CO2 emissions would be at a far lower level. However, like any human, I value my own life. I know for a fact this world would function better without us, but cannot act as it would cause my own death, which I do not plan unless I know everyone else is going down with me; human nature; it is not a good thing.

There is no way of knowing how the world would have been with out us. And even with out us species die. Life has 1 Rule: Eat or be eaten maybe a slower way to kill an entire specie but it works just as well.

Surely it could still happen, but the fact remains that man has sped up this process at an extreme rate.

We do it fast, others would/could/should do it faster. You seem to base your entire story on how we are doing it wrong and that it should have been right. But there is no real right or wrong only what the majority calls it, and the majority doesn't agree with you.

The vast majority doesn't agree with me because they are too blinded by fear, avarice, and self-consciousness to accept that they are insignificant.

The vast majority doesn't agree with me because they are too blinded by fear, avarice, and self-consciousness to accept that they are insignificant.

And this is where things get fun:

There are 2 sides one of which is the majority, who is always right and the others one is the side which does not agree with the majority and therefore is wrong unless stated that the principles of being right and wrong are previously stated and a different bigger the majority agrees with it

Now the majority off all people can't be insignificant because the rule: "You are insignificant if you don't agree with HORUS on this." doesn't exist and it can't exist because there can't be a bigger majority that says the rule exists. So my conclusion is I'm not insignificant because the biggest majority agrees with me.

I seriously laughed at your first paragraph. You basically stated that even if the majority agreed that the sky is red, they are always right, just because they are the majority.

You are insignificant whether you agree with me or not. You seriously think that in an ever-expanding universe filled with an infinite number of other galaxies, you are important?

Tell me if everybody or at least a majority would have told you the sky was red when you where a little a kid and would always have sticked with that until the day of today, would you or would you not have agreed with them. Because just like right and wrong there is no true meaning to the word RED. If everyone or at least the majority would all off a sudden say that what now is called red will be called blue and visa versa, then so will be it..

If the only living species in this universe for as far as we know are on this planet than I'm important. So unless there are 1 or more alien species that have an majority with strength at least equal to ours and that is in numbers bigger than our majority that says that the sky is blue and planet earth would have been better without us we are right and can call the sky RED with out being wrong.

It takes one man with missiles to assure destruction of Earth.

Kim Jong Il FTW.

So how is the earth supposed to flourish after nuclear winter again? Do tell.

In that sense, the earth itself is completely insignificant, so why are you stressing about what happens to it?

If every human was killed then the world would die. We are have woven ourselves so into the fabric of the earth it is impossible for us to be eradicated and for the rest of life to continue. For one the nuclear powerplants we have constructed would slowly degrade over time leading to a massive explosion of radioactive material and radioactivity to envelope the whole of the earth. The oil fields will be ignited by lightning strike and fires will burn out of control. The plastics we have created and the chemicals we have manufactured will slowly poison the whole ecosystem. You should try reading "The World Without Us"

Let's replace 'the sky is red' with 'Christianity'.

What happens now?

Outside of the fact that the sentence would have some serious grammar issues? Faith being wright or wrong definitely is something rules by the majority

You're saying that as if you think it didn't already have those.

1. Alordzynix' date=' your argument is completely retarded. That's all I have to say. It's completely illogical.

2. The earth is more important than we are.

[/quote']

But the universe is infinitely expanding. Our world is just a tiny speck of nothing amongst all of that. The earth my be more important than us, but in the broader look of things, it isn't important at all.

Nothing has a name or an importance level outside of the one we give it. If you are one of the few that don't agree with what others said there is little you can do about it.

I agree that if the earth dies, we most likely do to, but he isn't more important than we are. His only purpose is the one we assigned him and nothing more. Some people believe there was live on Mars but that is gone now. Can you tell me what kind of importance does Mars have now nothing lives on it?

Then why aren't bugs and such protecting us? :/

Because we are not more important than them.
