Dark Influence Ah, an Equip Card, always comes with the same nostalgia of when they were good. (Which is promptly followed by a gag reflex when seeing how far they are from being good now) Ah let's see what's happening with the effect. Yes, you can equip it to your opponent's monster. Yes, you then take control of it. An, in a sense, balanced Brain Control because it's an equip? No. The last bit adds insult to injury as not only do you make the chosen card useless by lowering its stats you also ridicule it by thinking that the direct attack ability comes close to evening the playing field. In almost every case you'll be synchroing or tributing the chosen card off anyway; so why bother making it worse for you? In the long run, it can only lay snug in the shadow of Brain Control and won't be shocking too MetaGames, past or present. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It's just like "Snatch Steal" or "Change of Heart" or "Soul Exchange" for example. The only difference is the Direct Attack (if used) would be quite LAME!
