Risen [PG - 13] (Enter a Character)

[Combine]

Meh. Just figured I might want PG - 13 in the name. It's in the rules (Yes I am trying to get you say 'Finally, a one-star who reads the rules before he posts' Is it working?)

 

Inspired and based off of the Half-Life series.

 

Setting : Ten years after the initial fall of the Combine forces. We're still starting off at Black Mesa though. With a research team. They believe that there was more to this expirament than something accidently going wrong.

 

[spoiler=Prologue]

 

"So, what do you think happened?" I said, I was probably the only one in this because I barely made the requirements and wanted money. I had no part in this mutual belief that the "G-Man" set everything up.

 

"What do we think happened..." Crix was looking at me in a mean way, a way that says : Your an idiot.

 

"Okay. So I know what you think happened" I said "But wouldn't you give it up by now? Seriously, we've been doing this for seven years."

 

"No, I've been doing this for seven years," Okay, now Crix looked even more angry... "You've been slaking off and doing just enough to get payed for seven years, it's a big difference"

 

"Alright, jeese... hey, do you think any aliens survived Gordan?" I said

 

"No, no I do not think..."

 

Crix paused for the same reason I did, that sound, it still haunts my dreams. I asked if there were any aliens I didnt say I wanted to fight one

 

That is when I said "Oh, crap!"

 

And we ran. Down the corridor toward the other teams. And bounding right behind us, the million-to-one eyed puppy. It was a Houndeye. A beast capable of emmiting sound that ruptures th einternal organs and sends you into a coma. We got back to the Lobby. And what we saw wasn't pretty. Electricity was running through every item in the lobby.

 

"Are those Vortigau- AHHHHHHHHHH!" Crix never finished the word.

 

A bolt of electricity had hit him in the chest, making him crumple like a slinky into such a position I knew he was dead. I looked around at the other dead bodies, and when I noticed I couldn't run, because of the Houndeye right behind me down the corridor, and the several Vortigaunt Slaves n the lobby, I dashed for it. Picked up the team guard's 9mm Pistol and empied the clip,. It dissoriented them but I was a horrible shot, nobody even got hit, and I fired 17 times! I knew I was dead, a secondary tram system had been put in after the old one broke down, but there was no way I could get to it. But then I remembered : Only the catwalk to the tram was destroyed. Not the tram system itself.

 

I ran to the retinal scanner, it had been hacked into by a crobar, by now all the slaves and the houndeye were rushing at me. As soon as I touched one of the cords inside the retinal scan system the blast door opened, I rushed through, then under the second blast door that was only half-open, the top was still there.

 

"Yes, the tram is here!" I said

 

The enemies behind me just spueled and panicked as I jumped from the ledge to the tram, it was a hopeless jump, way too far to land. I didnt' make the jump either, I fell, into the chasm below. And I fell, and I fell, and I fell.

Character Position - Is you human character a :

 

Rebel - Can use every gun. Has great ranks in the resistance.

Citizen - Usually only uses a pistol, dosn't fight alot and most like wouldn't get involved

 

Combine - The reason I have a combine sign up is because in this fan-fic the combine are rising.

 

Character Modification Level - Civil Protection < Combine Soilder < Combine Elite (The farther you go up the list the less human you are)

 

Alien - If you pick alien you must be a super-smart talking alien.

 

Alien Type - Heres a list (Sorry, you cant be a headcrab)

 

Antlion - A greenish bug-type alien with wings

Antlion Guard - Big and brute, uses his head like a battering ram

Vortigaunt / Slave - A vortiguant has the ability to charge up then shoot lightning from it's arms, a Vortiguant helps the rebels, a Vortiguant Slave is a Slave to the Combine

Houndeye - A dog-like creature that can emmit sounds that disrupt the internal organs, sending the victim into a coma.

Good thing you read the rules, but putting random ratings in the title is just as bad.

 

Work on spelling, punctuation, and sentence spacing. And WTF is "spueled?"
