Reasons:

 

-1 Mobius +1 Dekoichi:

The fact of the matter is, you'll have way too much S/T destruction. You'll end up with a Mobius that can't kill anything. Dekoichi will provide Draw Power especially with Threat to help you with drawing Raiza and Caius.

 

-2 Lightning Vortex +2 Soul Exchange

This is a no-brainer. Lightning Vortex kills all your opponent's face-ups but the problem with that is, you'll only kill 1 or 2 (rarely 3) monsters, that is if youre facing a smart duelist. Having 3 is overkill. 2 Soul exchanges will not only provide extra feed for your Monarchs, but you can maintain field presence.

 

- Level Warrior + Plaguespreader

It might be that you don't have one. If you don't, by all means keep Level Warrior. However, you will most likely have a monster on the field making Level Warrior completely pointless. That's why you should stick to 1 Cyber Dragon and that only. Plaguespreader not only can be Special Summoned from your Graveyard, he's a Tuner. So Synchro Summon with ease.

 

- Grand Mole + Dekoichi

I know. I know. Running Grand Mole is great because of his locking ability. Ram with Grand Mole, hit with a Monarch, summon Grand Mole. But trust me on this when I say everybody is looking for a way to kill monsters without attacking. DaD, Gyzarus, Judgment Dragon, Icarus Attack, etc. Even if you get Grand Mole out, it will be killed in a turn or two. If you want GM sooooo badly, side deck him for Dekoichi. Dekoichi does have the same chance as Grand Mole, but you have a HIGHER chance of Dekoiching into a Monarch. Grand Mole only provides bouncibility, which can easily be rendered useless.

 

- Pot of Avarice for Book

Pot of Avarice would supply Draw Power as well as Graveyard power, but Monarch Decks usually focus on Field Presence and the power of the Monarchs. Treeborn Frog is the only thing in this Deck that has anything to do with Graveyard and it is still relying on Monarchs. Pot of Avarice would be a TERRIBLE thing to draw if you have 3 Monsters in your Graveyard and your opponent is 1 hit away from finishing you. Book of Moon slows that down.

 

-Enemy Controller + Allure

Enemy Controller can sometimes be GODLY in this Deck. But not when you have 3 Books, 3 Solemns, and 2 Threats. Noooonononono. Enemy Controller would only be there to provide Soul Exchange but since you have Soul Exchange, there's nothing to worry about. Allure will give you hand leverage and you do have enough DARKS to make this splashable.

 

-Swords + Book

Swords will ALWAYS be a -1. ALWAYS. You wait 3 turns, giving your opponent 3 chances to draw a Heavy or something that would kill swords off. Book is better because it doesn't give a chance for Heavy. Once its activated its activated and your opponent's monster is now face-down. And most likely their DEF is lower than their ATK. Like the oh-so-godly DAD whose DEF is low enough for a Krebons to kill it. 1000! Imagine your opponent's face when they DAD a chained Book of moon!

 

-Waboku +Threatening Roar

Threatening Roar is a better Waboku. That is that.

 

-Metal Reflect Slime +Solemn

3 Solemns is always better than 2. Sure you rid your Life Points down to 1000. But for all the things you can counter with it. Its worth it. Metal Reflect Slime is not worth it. Even if you manage to activate it, it sill would be a sitting Duck. even if you managed to trade it off for a Monarch. What if your opponent Solemned your Monarchs. You wouldn't have a 3rd Solemn to Solemn their Solemn!!!!

 

And the Synchros speak for themselves. Sure, you might not have them all, but if you do, those are ususally the typical ones. Plus Doomkaiser Dragon or Iron Chain Dragon but I haven't seen that one played at all.
