moneypony
Magical Exemplar is better in a spellcaster deck and Zombie Master is good in a zombie deck[/obvious] They are 2 different monsters that work in different decks, there is no way to say which is "better"
◊ Hᵃᵏᵃˢᵉ ◊
If you placed them against each other, my bet goes to Zombie master. His calling of Summoning is a little quicker than Exemplars. And she could be destroyed by him, or even the card Summoned by his effect. He just has a better shot against her.
Zeaux
Zombie Master is better in terms of speed. Anyway, both cards are great.
Umbra
Only one of them can turn Instant Fusion into DSF. The other one is not Magical Exemplar.

werewolfjedi
' pid='2530935' dateline='1247182474']Oh wow is this even a question? Zombie Master rapes Exemplar any day. only in terms of atk power, can zombie master summon vampire lord? I don't think so, but exemplar can summon any non-nomi spellcaster as long as she has enough spellcounters, and she gets 2 per spell, and it isn't hard to play a few spells in one turn. using two cards, I can get 10 counters, toon table and terraforming, and I can grab endymion with terra forming, which at the very least will catch the spellcounters she might have on her if she is killed, in any way, I can use them to with the next exemplar (through the sub effect of endymion,).on top of that, she still has decent stats, not the best, but good reilable stats that keep from being picked off by the little stuff that usualy ends up as tribute fodder. on top of that, she gives card advantage, where zombie master does not. zombie's effect: -1 discard, +1 summon. exemplar's effect: -x spellcounters, +1 monster. oh, and one more thing, defender knight. she gives more counters than you could possibly need for that effect. all by themselves, yes, master beats exemplar, but both cards are more about support than stand alone, and spell counter users have better support now. BehindTheMask
Two similar cards, but majorly different results. You cannot compare these cards, because they serve two different functions.
