Skyson
CARDREVIEW.EXE ENGAGE SEARCHING THREAD FOR "A NEW CONCEPT" CHECKING DATABASE ENTRIES FOUND SCANNING DATABASE FOR UNKNOWN ENTRIES. - Normal Monster: A monster with an ATK and DEF, designated with a yellow background and flavor text, printed in italics to separate it from the actual effect of an Effect Monster. NEGATIVE. - Fusion Monster: A fusion of two monsters, designated with a purple card. NEGATIVE. - Conceal Effect: A monster can flip itself into face-down Defense Position through its own inherent effect, on top of the normal 1 battle position change per turn. NEGATIVE. DATABASE CHECK COMPLETE. NO NEW CONCEPTS FOUND. So..two 1900 ATK Normal Monsters combine to make a 2000/2000 Fusion Monster? I can't even logically see that being worth it in any case. A new name for an Archetype does not create any new concepts; it merely tacks on to the millions of Monster archetypes. Case closed. Nothing interesting about these cards. 1/10. ragnarok1945
Emperor's Dragon needs an effect first. Phalanx's effect is unimpressive 2/

Axoren
You spelled Archetype incorrectly. You spelled previews incorrectly. Emperor Legion - Legionary #1----You spell Legion wrong and left the first letter of it in lowercase.-It's Vanilla with no support cards.-Only exists to be Fusion Material.-It's a decent No-Tribute, Vanilla Beat Stick, but I'd rather use a Gene Wolf. It has no good points. It wouldn't be fair for me to rate that one. Phalanx----You spelled this one correctly.-Effect is written with horrible OCG, fix below.-ATK and DEF are too bland. Change them. (Neutral comment)-The effect is decent, however, there is no reason to flip it face-down. They know what it is. -Changing it to Defense Position should be more than enough for this, but I see no reason to do that as the ATK and DEF are EXACTLY THE SAME! You get no advantage from it's effect. 4/10 OCG Fix: 1 Legionary monster + 1 Legionary monsterDuring your Main Phase 2, you may flip this card into face-down Defense Position. I'm not sure if in this case it would be2 Legionary monsters OR 1 Legionary monster + 1 Legionary monster but either way, ""'s aren't needed when using the name of an Archetype. Axoren
Vanilla's are fine if they have LOADS of creative support cards and/or are part of a much grander combo. But alone, they have no reason to live. Vanilla combos are great versus Skill Drain, but there has to be a definite advantage over effect monsters who become more useful when they are vanillanated. Also, post a good 35% of your set including loads of support cards otherwise people will not give a second look at your vanilla monsters. They're douches like that. Work on OCG and proper English and you'll survive... possibly. Time for a dashing escape! *throws an apple into the middle of the topic and runs like hell while everyone's distracted*
