Guest
Too boring, your depth skills slightly improved but besides that its really just like your other tags. What program do you use
Lemniscate
I use GIMP, and started using it 6 days ago when I switched over from PS, because I am away from my computer with PS on it. And how can you say this is just like my other tags? I just started using smudging and clipping masks.
Huntar!
Add text on the left or try to center the man on there Stop trying to act like you know what you're saying. You don't. I kinda like it. it seems like you blurred everything and just over-sharpened his head.
Guest
By the same as your other tags i meant they share similar flaws, I will admit however that someone of your time spent on PS has potential, as for PS smudging is a very hard style to actually work on, it requires a good mix of plain shapes and details while making sure the colors work, your blending and flow need to be perfect along with your lighting, not to mention the fact that if you do a single thing wrong the whole tag will indeed fall apart at a blink of a eye unless you can fix it. My advice to you is unless your really dedicated don't even bother with smudge besides the once in a blue moon bg that can be done by smudging (only if its the easiest method) because a lot of people get inpatient and just drop the art of smudging, wasting tons of time that could of been used finding a style good for them. Finally go to PR and look at some of the free tuts, when you learn a good handle of the basics and have some points go buy some tuts from the for sale section that are either cheep or teach the basics to a style, hopefully you will learn from both types. Finally when you get a good bit of the basics down go to the free psd resources section and start stocking up on as much as possible. The reason for this is you can learn a lot more and better using PSDs if you know what your doing. I hope my words help you, it's rare but I'm in a helpy mood today
Lemniscate
Thanks for the thoughts.Add text on the left or try to center the man on there Stop trying to act like you know what you're saying. You don't. I kinda like it. it seems like you blurred everything and just over-sharpened his head. Interesting thing is that I never blurred nor sharpened anything. I used clipping masks, light smudging, and some lighting changes to achieve what I achieved.
Sid.
Really like it. Unfortunately i have too agree with Hunter. I'd like too see more of the Effects. Also, too much white too the left.
Lemniscate
What effects do you think would help? I'll put a c4d/filter or two if you think it'll help, but I'm reticent to add too much for risk of cluttering the sig.
Sid.
nahnahnah... Try "clearing" up the effects near the bottom.
Lemniscate
Yeah, will do. Scratch Works Studios will be releasing an XCF/PSD (we haven't decided which yet) pack soon. I really want to get this right so it can be in the pack.
