Lord Smeagle
(If you're not familiar with the Discordian Saga, please see "Smeagle's Ultimate Set Collection" in my sig. This set will make a lot more sense.) It has been less than two years since the mysterious hero Nathaniel saved the world from certain annihilation, and again it is thrown into turmoil. The destructive legacy of the Paradox Army stubbornly refuses to die. The twisted, unfortunate souls known as the Afflicted continue to develop new and frightening abilities that cause them unbearable pain and shorten their lifespan immensely, if their mutations do not kill them horribly outright. Adding insult to injury, these new powers prove to be contagious. No cure is to be found. Infected individuals are exiled, quarantined or destroyed - these are considered "mercy killings." One group of such individuals refuses to go quietly into the night. Led by the ruthless Commander Deimos, the Remnant stands against the remaining human population. Their goal is clear - force humanity to find a cure, or suffer the same sad fate. The powers of the Remnant vary widely, but the one thing most have in common is that their powers transfer to anyone who slays them; both positive and negative effects. Deimos's Effect: This card cannot be Normal Summoned. This card can only be Special Summoned by its own effect. You can Tribute three "Remnant" monsters to remove this card in your hand from play. During your Standby Phase, if this card is removed from play by its own effect, Special Summon it to the field. If this card is the target of a monster's attack or effect, remove both cards from play. Belain's Effect: This card cannot attack your opponent's Life Points directly. Decrease this card's ATK and DEF by 500 each time this card battles. During your opponent's Battle Phase, any monster destroyed as a result of battle with this card is returned to the top of the owner's Deck. Any Battle Damage to your opponent inflicted by this card is halved. Nailah's Effect: Whenever a monster your opponent controls is destroyed by its own effect, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. Whenever a monster is destroyed by its own effect, this monster gains 400 ATK points. Once per turn, you can select a monster on the field. That monster's effect becomes "During your End Phase, destroy this card." More than just humans are affected by this mysterious blight; behold, the Monolithic Beasts! Their size is such that they may at first appear part of the landscape itself! The Monolithic Beasts are powerful monsters that can change between Monster and Field Spell forms.
