WIND Counterpart Contest >>500 Points + 3 Reps<<

Synchronized

Recommended Posts

I've noticed that recently, a lot of contests have been 1vs.1s, and there haven't been many regular (non-tournament) contests. So I've decided to post this simple contest.

It lasts one week, meaning it will end on July 22,2009 at 2:00 PM Eastern Time.

Goal: The goal is simple; you have to create 1 card, that card being a WIND Counterpart of one of the five cards listed below. Again, you select 1 of the five cards listed below and make a WIND Counterpart of it.

Prize: There is only going to be a First Place Winner and a Second Place Winner. Whoever wins First Place will recieve 500 Points and 3 Reputation Points, whereas the winner of Second Place will recieve 1 Reputation Point and a pat on the back.

Judging: I will judge on the following:

-Creativity: How unique your card is. Has it been done before? ETC.

-Playability: Is the card good enough that it can be used successfully in the TCG?

-Picture: This isn't as important, but it's still important so make sure you don't have pictures with words on them or something like that because I'll take off points for that.

-Relativity: How much the Card has in common with it's Counterpart. The effects should be partially similar, while standing out at the same time.

-OCG: This is the most important thing in my eyes when it comes to judging a card. If your OCG isn't good, the card doesn't look Realistic, and therefore you will lose points. (One or two minor errors won't affect it.)

~Entry Reserved~

Alright' date=' cool.

Didn't you do one like this before Star?

Do we need to say which card we do when we reserve an entry?

~Entry Reserved

I don't think I did; I tried doing a LIGHT Counterpart Contest, but no one entered. You don't need to say which card you're going to do when you reserve an entry.

Regardless of whether or not entries are reserved, the contest will end on Thursday, July 22, 2009, at 2:00 PM Eastern Standard Time.

The entries can be posted in this Thread.

When this card is Synchro Summoned, you can destroy all non-WIND monster on the field by paying 700 Life Points. Once per turn, you can Remove 1 WIND monster from your Graveyard to change 1 monster your opponent controls to face-up Attack Position, and reduce its ATK to 0 until the End Phase of your turn. If this card is destroyed and send to the Graveyard, you can add 1 WIND monster from your deck to your hand.

My card(I couldn't find any other good pictures of Batteryman Strength, so I just kinda edited 1 of them. It was from the card Short Circuit:

Batteryman Turbulent Strength

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned' date=' except by returning 2 WIND monsters you control, to your Deck. Once per turn, you can return 1 WIND monster in your Graveyard, to your Deck. In the same turn WIND monster(s) are returned to your Deck, you can return cards on the field equal to the number of WIND monsters returned to your Deck, to their owners hand.
100747i.jpg

If you control 1 or more WIND monsters, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. You can switch the ATK and DEF of this card when it destroys a monster by battle. If this card inflicts Battle Damage, you can gain Life Points equal to the amount of damage instead of inflicting damage to your opponent.

During the turn 3 or more cards where returned to the owners hand/Deck by card effects you control, you can Special Summon this card. When this card is Special Summoned by it's own effect, you can return all cards on the field to the bottom of the owner's deck.

This card's effect changes depending on the number of Wind monsters in your Graveyard. ● 1 or fewer: This card loses 600 ATK. ● 2 to 4: This card gains 400 ATK. ● 5 or more: You can send this card to the Graveyard to destroy all face-up cards your opponent controls.
