Trap card

I am newish to the rules of Yugioh and this is the first card I've posted for display. Any tips, card grammar etc would be greatly appreciated.

Also, about the card, it's effect is way too simple, but the punishment is awful, which makes the card awful with it.

There is a major drawback on it. leave out the part of activating the effect twice. That would probably make it more balanced. but,nice try on it!

That was my original idea but I wanted to be more sadistic ..lol

 

I am trying to make a deck with quite a few cards that hurt both players, because I think that it would take someone with alot of skill to utilize the deck properly and not get 'burned' or...not get burned as badly as the opponent

The first problem I see: Quick-Play Trap card. No such thing exists.

 

As for the effect: "Your opponent fremoves from play the top card of their Deck. If it is an Effect Monster Card, apply that card's effect as this card's effect a number of times equal to the Tributes needed to Tribute Sumon that monster: -1 or fewer: 1 time. -2 or more: A number of times equal to the number of Tributes."

 

I see this card as being powerful, but I also see that many strong cards are Spells, Traps or Nomi Monsters (no Tributes), so it's easily hit or miss.It does punish Monarchs though, so I like it. One thing though; put a cost of some type on it.

A trap that activates at Spell Speed 2? Don't all NORMAL traps activate at Spell Speed 2? Quick-play is pointlessly added.

 

This is anti-effect, HOWEVER, activation requirements would still apply there for preventing 80% of Effect monsters from being affected.

 

While this card is face up on the field, it cannot be destroyed.

If this card is destroyed, deal 900 damage to your opponent.

When this card is Special Summoned, stab your opponent in the chest and run like a little girl.

 

Those are all conditional effects which you would not meet the requirements for activating.

 

It's almost a useless card.

There is no such thing as a quick-play trap card. Just make it a normal trap.

 

Unfortunately the effect is invalid, because a monster's effect can't just be activated. It can only activate its effect by itself in the appropriate situation. I would write the correct OCG, but I wouldn't want to change the effect. It's not a bad idea, and it would work if you made some sort of Archetype that would rely on a card like this.

It is possible to say "The effect of this card becomes the same as that monster's" and it will work, but like I said cards like DAD and JD don't give it effects because they aren't Tribute Summoned.
