Monster Hunter: Souls of Beasts [PG-16]

Deep under Minegarde, where most people considered hell, lived an ancient dragon. The dragon was said to be a god, the creator of all. Long ago a priest journeyed down and confronted the dragon. The humans of that time only lived on vegetation. Creatures were never seen. The priest struck a deal with the ancient dragon. The deal was that the humans would let the dragon's creatures thrive by the humans, but in exchange the humans would be allowed to hunt certain creatures for food. The dragon accepted the deal, and soon it's children thrived in Minegarde. For several hundred years, the humans and beasts thrived together. One day however, a human wanted more than just food. This human went and killed a beast. The beast did not fight back because it thought that the human was not going to kill it. With the beast dead the hunter brought it back and showed the kill to the village. This started the hunting trend, and soon the beasts and humans hated each other. To see how the humans were doing, the ancient dragon sent it's 13 children. These children were not ordinary monsters. They were Elder Dragons. These Elder Dragons spied on the humans. When they reported back to their father, he was extremely displeased with the humans. Without hesitation, he killed himself. His death destroyed Minegarde, as he kept life in balance. He did, however, scatter the souls of his children into gems. The gems were scattered along the ruined Minegarde. Eons later the world started over again. New civilizations sprung up. However, a new figure took the place of the Ancient Dragon. This figure recreated the planet, and placed animals and vegetation. Humans once again thrived. Years and years later, humans modernized. They invented hovercraft, transportation devices, robots. Slowly, the Earth was destroying itself all over again. However, the gems of the beasts were still there. They were heirloom, antiques, some even history. They gained power over time, enough to release themselves back to their original forms. However, they needed more power to sustain themselves. So they turned to the hunters that once killed them. It turned out that when Minegarde was destroyed, several lineages of hunters were preserved by the Ancient Dragon. Once Earth was born the lineages were released, so that the hunter families could live on. They would eventually find these gems and use their powers to summon the Ancient Dragon. The figure that created Earth did not want the dragon to come back. It gained connection with a group of humans, and gave them commands to gain the gems and destroy them. This is where you come in. You are part of the latest generation of hunters. Your destiny is to find the gems, and other hunters. Should you fail, you will of course die. Should you succeed, Earth will continue to live.

A futuristic Earth. Countries from this era still exist. A large energy shield covers the Earth. Floating space stations litter the shield. Allowing ships to pass through. It is currently summer.

Bio: Born in Australia Auster loved to explore deserts and often hunted. His family heirloom was an old hunting rifle. One day while hunting, he discovered Ritr while reloading the gun. Ritr spoke to Auster through telepathy, and told him the legend of the Ancient Dragon. By then Auster's parents were dead, and he had no known relatives. He accepted Ritr's offer, and he made his way to Japan.

Personality: Auster often uses sarcasm and generally hates know-it-alls. In fact, he hates a lot of things. He doesn't work well with others, often preferring to rely on his own strengths, this doesn't mean he won't work with others. He knows when he's beaten, and often likes to brag when he gets the chance. When ever he gets into a fight he usually turns very happy.

Gem: Ritr

Gem Catalyst: A beat up old hunting rifle. The gem is stored in the butt of the gun.

Age: 17

Bio: Born and raised in Japan, Naraku is a lonely soul, wandering the streets at nightfall, sleeping in the day. A gigantic scythe in his possession is the only weapon he knows as both a friend and weapon. One day, while polishing the blade of the scythe, he touched a gem at the base, and NarugaKaruga spoke to him. He told Naraku about the legend of the Ancient Dragon. Naraku accepted the offer, and searches for a way to release the dragon.

Personality: Naraku is a loner, and has been so in his whole life. He dislikes help from others, but it doesn't mean he can't work with others. He acts really calm and cool-minded, and does not snap so easily in temper.

One day while gutting one of his kills, Xion found a gem in the creatures stomach and pulled it out of there. Via spoke to him about the legend of the Ancient Dragon. Xion accepted this quest and has now set off to release the dragon.

Bio: He was born in the US but he doesn't know where. He never met his parents because they died once he was born. He would always get into fights because people made fun of him. His necklace gives him a lot of power so he can win his fights if it needed. Very good fighter. The necklace thats holds the power was given to his by his brother who died a day after Victor got the necklace.

Bio:

Through life, Arata has gone under an extremely tough life as a child. His peers picked on him, his family picked on him, and even other people that didn't know him. Eventually, when he was old enough, he wanted to get back at every single person. And how he would do it? He took a gun, and shot at least 10 people. He however, was put on trail, and was sent for execution. But he also took a gem, something that looked good enough, and passed it through security. However, through much trails, he was sent free.

It was about midday in Japan. The sun was shining brightly. Murderer kills family, ancient artifact goes missing? Auster blinked. He had been watching the Holonews. For about 3 months gems have gone missing. While most people just said it was some sort of jewel thief, he knew what was happening. I thought so, see that Auster, more of them are getting stolen! That was Ritr. Ritr was apparently a Tigrex that had guarded his family for a long time. Auster was still not sure why he was even doing this. Yea, I see. Still who's doing this?

 

The bus stopped and Auster looked out the window. In front of him was a large hanger like building, with tubes extending out of the building. Several metro trains zoomed in these tubes. Auster turned off the Holonews and exited the bus, walking towards the station.

Arata was walking down the street, passing Auster. He put his hair slightly infront of his eyes to block out the sun. Gah, sun's killer today. Your point being what? Get over it, you're pale. That was Blosd. Apparently, he was the most monstrous of the desert. Bite me. Sometimes, Arata and Blosd would get into a fight like this. It was normal for them. Sometimes, I wish I could. Arata clenched his chest for a few second, and breathed a bit harder, and slowly went back to normal. You know, maybe it wasn't a good idea to put me in the chest. Want me to put you somewhere else?

Seems like more artifacts are getting stolen by the week Xion said telepathically, walking through a busy city street, Probably has something to do with those gems like you are, you told me about, Via. Most definately, Xion, so we must find the rest before they are stolen as well Via replied through telepathy as well. Easier said than done Xion sighed as he walked over to the train station.

Kawashima was walking by himself, he passed several people, and one of them was Auster. Are you going to talk to me, anytime soon? Skor asked. "Do I need to talk on a day like this? It's burning hot..." Replied Kawashima. I don't even feel anything. Skor replied. "Does being inside my coat and being a gem on my sword have anything to do with it?" Kawashima asked. There was silence for a few minutes. I don't know... Hey, didn't we just pass the station?

Ritr's Catalyst, the hunting rifle, was wrapped with cloth and slung over Auster's shoulder. It started to shake violently. What now Ritr? I sense my brother.. Your brother? He's not technically my brother, but you get what I mean. Well where is he? Near the train station, now move idiot! Auster sighed and started to run towards the station. As he got in, he spotted his train. Crap, it's departing soon. Auster quickly ran up to the doors and scanned his ticket. He got in the train and choose a seat towards the back. They're getting on the train..
