All you have to do is remember to credit as long as you don't mess with the image. I'd say that you need to stay away from making support for cards that already exist. Try to find something that sticks out to you that could work as a good archtype(lightsworn, morphtronic, 6 samurai, etc) and go from there. For instance. I like Ninjas so I made a Ninja Archtype I call the Element Ninjas. It never got much feedback when I posted, but I was happy nevertheless because I made something i was proud of.
