Echoing Energy Release [Xx YugiohPro xX]

Recommended Posts

Ok, so this is a random Beast Support card I made since I was bored. Please comment, and if there are any errors, please tell me. I'll post a few other cards in a new thread later. Also, "By removing from play this card in your Graveyard.." is used in the USA OCG.

[spoiler= Card Lore]

You can only activate this card while you control at least 3 face-up Beast-Type monster. The ATK of all Beast-Type monsters you control becomes 500. Destroy all cards your opponent controls. For each card destroyed by this card's effect, search your Deck for 1 Beast-Type monster and remove it from play. Beast-Type monsters you control cannot declare an attack this turn. When a Beast-Type monster, whose ATK has been reduced by this card's effect is removed from the field, decrease your Life points by 500. By removing from play this card in your Graveyard, increase the ATK of a face-up Beast-Type monster you control by 500.

i think this card is way underpowered

i mean it decreases your monsters atk

you lose a lot of monsters, but your opponent does too

you can't attack, and you lose 500 if a beast monster is destroyed with this effect on,

the only good thing is a 500 atk increase to a beast type,(which isn't that great)

......3 cons, 1 pro, and 1 neutral

very underpowered

How should I make it better? I just did this in consideration that your destroying all cards your opponent controls is a major plus.

hmm that might be a big lost but i think this card makes you suffer more than your opponent, i think maybe instead of 500 increase to the monster it should be 1000, just to make it a little bit more balanced

but i could be wrong

Well, if you take into consideration that there are actually a lot of Beast-Type monsters with under 1000 ATK that are more common in Beast-Type Decks, then it would just be a big plus. Such for example, Rescue Cat, Test Tiger, Test Ape, Cat's Ear Tribe, and lots of other Beast-Type monsters I'm to unethical to think about. Even though they can't attack, you could use their effects to simply give them up. That is a more common shot from the Beasts.

hmm this is true, i guess i didn't think about that when i was first reading the effect, the atk points don't really matter, it's the effects,(there just a bonus) hmmm well now that i put it in that retrospect, it's pretty well balanced

9/10

Thank you Nikki. I am glad you commented on my card. You were a very worthy argument. Rofl. Btw' date=' you make excellent cards.

i'm glad we had our worthy argument, it helped me with a realization that beast monsters are effective effect monsters :D

Ya. He does use Synchro's though. I had a full Monster Zone, but he used Waboku to protect his monsters. He had Trojan Horse and.... a Giant Rat. He played X-Saber Airbellum, and synchroed for Black Rose. He blew up the field. Then he played Double Summon. He Summoned another Trojan Horse. I didn't think he would win since I had 1800 LP's and he had 700. He played Double Attack. <.< and discarded Beast King Barbaros. I'm like, why didn't you just do that. He's like, I wanted to make it funnier. Than he defeated me with Trojan Horse. Then he screamed Trojan Man. Rofl. It was crazy though.

Thank you Ragnarok. I know just getting a 9.5 from you is tough, so I know I did something right. Lol.

Actually if you wanted higher, just talk to Lovely Lady Duelist, Pragboy1, and Radiant FURY. I don't think I've EVER given them anything lower than 9/10 before.

I can see this card screwing you over more than anything else. You bust this out, and watch them have something that can abuse all those cards that was removed from play.

Also, destroying everything on the other field is relatively easy. And in a single spell, it's also easy to counter as well.

And it's sorta uncharacteristic (Only Ojamas iirc can Field Clear for the beasts, and they do it with relative ease) for the Beast-Type, which tends to swarm the field and then boost their ATK to stampede over your opponents.

7/10

You have a point' date=' but how much do people actually use Traps or Spells that can actually stop your Spells. You very rarely see them nowadays. Most people use whatever they can to end the Duel as fast as possible.

[/quote']

In high level play it's actually pretty common. Countering spells and/or their effects is one of the better ways to win. Nothing ends the duel faster than killing a pivotal card.

Also, Dark Bribe/Solemn Judgment is common (especially if using Van'Daglyon), and there are plenty of common actual cards that can eat this card alive.

Ya' date=' but how often do you see those in Deck's nowadays. Due to their High Payout and buying rate, their expense is something not worth.

[/quote']

The old group, which rarely spent money on cards, typically had a Dark Bribe in every last deck (part in thanks to Dark Bribe being a constant card is what was a relatively easy to get game). Hell, my RL deck is misfortune based, which counters pretty much everything up to and including the top tier meta decks while doing damage :D

And half my life points/opponent drawing a card is never a big deal if I counter their key card, which wins me the game a good amount of the time. Hitting Monster Reincarnation targeting a Judgment Dragon has often caused a forfeit.

Still a 7/10. It can be surprising, but a well-built deck will own it pretty much every time.

They may be like that where you live, but where I live (A.K.A. California) we are in deep debt, so it's not as easy for us to get these cards. Solemn is worth about..... 75-100 where I live. Judgment Dragon about 110..... And Dark Bribe is about 9-15 alone. Heck, even Gravekeeper Spy Sets go for 20$ here. Either way you see it, it may not be effective where you live, but it definately would be where I do. You have to take in consideration of other habitats, certain Deck-Types, running ability, efficiency in other words, and tons of other things.

Bah, letting the tier get to me. Sorry. Also, the old group was in the middle of nowhere, and had some really lucky peoples. And a gaming store that sold the game with Dark Bribes for about $10 each due to a massive overstock/not knowing what to do with em.
