Davok
@Davok and Lux: Sorry' date=' but every shooter game I've played (yes, I have tried them. I don't just mindlessly insult something without doing my research on it) have all struck me as having dull storylines, mindless gameplay, and a lack of ability to get me emotionally attached. I never really like dthe Metroid series to begin with, Lux. And I've played all the recent ones, in hopes of finding one that I enjoyed, but I didn't succeed in that venture.[/quote'] =/ The fact that many products of that particular genre have "dull storylines, mindless gameplay, lack of ability to get you emotionally attached" is not the fault of the genre itself. Secondly, it all really depends on a player's personal preference, as in some prefer gameplay over story. Some prefer story over gameplay and so on. Thirdly, if the games that you have played are generally accepted as "bad" then it does not mean "FPS games suck". Is bad story a prerequisite for FPS? No. Are dull storylines a prerequisite for FPS? No. It is merely the fault of the author of said work and nothing else. Maybe for some reason there might be better authors in one genre then another, but that is irrelevant. Anyway, you must keep in mind personal preferences and that some people will obviously like games that you do not enjoy yourself. So, in conclusion, the more accurate thing for you to say is "alot of FPS games suck". You have your opinion, and others have they're opinion. Zexaeon
Davok, the whole statement was based on Opinion. I have general disdain for Shooter gameplay, and haven;t found one with an enjoyable story. My saying "FPS Games suck" does not mean they suck to everyone. It's just my opinion. If I think that all FPS games are bad, that is also my opinion. =/ Should I have said "In my opinion, FPS games suck."? I thought the bolded part went without saying. Anyway, that comment was directed at Emo in the first place. He commented that "RPGs Suck", and that FPS games were better. So I simply gave him the same simple-minded retort. Merely misinterpreting your statement. *thumbs up* Carry on. Great, now I wasting an entire speech. xD
Zexaeon
xD Don't you just hate that? Anyhow, to be on topic, Giygas is kinda disturbing, but not really.
RAWMansonBoy
I don't know why particularly, but the DomZ High Priest from Beyond Good and Evil freaks me out for some reason. Probably the fact that it would create clones of people you liked and make them try to kill you. Or the fact that it would use the Alpha Sections to abduct people to eat. Just scares the*beep* out of me.
Forgetful Angel
I really kinda blew off Giygas as scary until seeing this video Giygas now freaks me out. Some games might give you a "Boo" effect or "Your Ugly so die" but Giygas kinda makes you thinka bout what your killing and how creepy and horrible this is... LiAM
Worst boss I had was probably Ninja on MGS1 or the Ruby Weapon on FF7.
Super Half Vamp Riku
nemesis from resident evil 3 is more disturbing then that
Amethyst Phoenix
No. The most disturbing 'Boss' is the Ulduar Final Encounter; Yogg-Saron in WoW.He looks like a Clam+Squid+Demon He's just disturbing...
Is he the embodiment of evil like Giygas? He's WoW's equivalent of a malevolent shinigami. If you were part of the first raid on your server to kill him in the 25-man version you got the title "Death's Demise". I haven't fought him yet' date=' but from what I've heard the encounter is badass. And his minions look like cthulu XD
But yeah, he's essentially an ancient dark god of destruction trapped beneath a continent. In some areas you even hear whispers from him that are rather disturbing.
Guest PikaPerson01
I clicked on this topic, thinking that if it wasn't Gigyas I'd have a huge fit about it.
Aelsthla-Mental
For me the most disturbing boss was Mad Jack. Questionable as to why. I was young, I suppose, and although there is really no story to him, he was rather creepy. Not to mention somewhat difficult, I fought him quite a few times, and that laughter... It sounds like Donald Duck snapped. Perhaps true evil really is Incomprehensible.
