Mire Sludge

DARK Level 4 [Aqua/Effect]

ATK 0 DEF 0

When this card is Normal Summoned or Special Summoned, unless Sludge Counters are placed on this card by another card effect, put 4 Sludge Counters on it. This card gains 500 ATK and DEF for every Sludge Counter on this card. When this monster would be destroyed in battle, remove a Sludge Counter from this card instead. When there are no Sludge Counters on this card, destroy it. When a Sludge Counter is removed from the field, you take 500 damage.

 

Quillspike Sludge

DARK Level 4 [Aqua/Effect]

When this card is Normal Summoned or Special Summoned, unless Sludge Counters are placed on this card by another card effect, put 4 Sludge Counters on it. This card gains 300 ATK for every Sludge Counter on this card. You can remove a Sludge Counter from this card to inflict 300 damage to your opponent. When this card is destroyed in battle, you can Special Summon a "Sludge" monster from your hand whose Level is less than the number of Sludge Counters on this card, place this card's Sludge Counters on it, then remove one.

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by "Sewer Lair". This card gains 700 ATK and DEF for every Sludge Counter on it. Once per turn, you can tribute 1 other "Sludge" monster you control to Sludge Counters on this card equal to half the Tributed monster's Level. If this card would be destroyed in battle, remove a number of Sludge Counters equal to the Level of the monster it battled instead. When this card has no Sludge Counters, destroy it.

 

Sewer Sludge

When this card is Dark Synchro Summoned, place Sludge Counters on this card equal to half the level of the Dark Tuner used to Synchro Summon this card, rounded up. This card gains 600 ATK for each Sludge Counter on it. If this card would be destroyed, remove 1 Sludge Counter instead. When there are no Sludge Counters on this card, destroy it. If this card successfully destroys a monster, if that monster's Level was 2 or higher, place Sludge Counter(s) on this card equal to half the level of the destroyed monster, rounded down.

 

Find the King

Discard 1 "Sludge" monster. Add 1 "Sludge King" from your Deck to your hand and add 1 Sludge Counter to "Sludge Lair".

 

King's Generosity

Normal Spell

Remove an even number of Sludge Counters from a "Sludge King" you control. Draw a number of cards equal to half the number of Sludge Counters you removed from "Sludge King".

 

Ooze Reflux

Pay 1000 Life Points. Add up to 3 "Sludge" monsters from your Graveyard to your hand.

 

Sludge Dump

Normal Spell

Discard any number of "Sludge" monsters. Add their Levels and put that many Sludge Counters on "Sludge Lair".

 

Sludge Hammer

Remove any number of Sludge Counters from the field. Destroy any number of monsters whose total ATK is up to the number of Sludge Counters you removed x 700.

 

Sludge Replacement

Normal Spell

Select a card you control. If that card lost any Sludge Counters this turn, add Sludge Counters to it equal to the number of Sludge Counters it lost this turn.

 

Sewer Lair

Field Spell

Once per turn, you can place a Sludge Counter on a "Sludge" monster you control. When a "Sludge" monster(s) you control is destroyed, place a Sludge Counter on this card. "Sludge" monsters gain 200 ATK and DEF for every Sludge Counter on this card. You can send this card with 10 or more Sludge Counters on it to Special Summon "Sludge King", and place 4 Sludge Counters on it.

 

Please comment. Credit for Sludge Sniper, Sludge Magician, Dark Tuner Fiend Sludge, and Archfiend Sludge goes to Haou Devil 12. Also, credit for some of the basic ideas of these sludge cards go to FC-frostflakes.

I also give Enkomaun the credit for Ooze Reflex and the idea and names of the newer Sludge cards, even though I didn't use quite the same idea. I used Enkomaun's idea for a different archetype, but used part of its idea and mixed it in with the idea already here.

So you just summoned a 2500 ATK 4 Star?

 

I love this idea though. Very unique effects.

 

9/10 except for Mire Sludge

 

Yeah i should fix that. I'll probably reduce it to 4.

 

EDIT: I fixed it. A 2000 ATK Level 4 monster doesn't sound too bad now.

That's just in case I make Dark Tuners, since they are also "Tuner monsters", or at least not "non-Tuner monsters".

More archetypes are coming soon, but I'll post them separately. Maybe I'll make one post that has all my smaller archetypes, or as many as possible, on it eventually.

Sorry, but I believe you're doing it wrong.

The whole thing IS NOT creative, and doesn't go with the word "sludge." Counters have been done so many times, and you just added "Sludge" to the names of typical archetypic things.

 

Why don't you "analyze" the word sludge correctly? Sludge is slimy water. Water can change form easily. How about this:

I'm not going to lie, those are some pretty good cards. I had the idea of the Sludge Monster not being able to be destroyed by battle.

I don't remember there being an archetype or making an archetype with a similar idea, except for a few cards in another one of my archetypes. As for the sludge comment, check the other sludge comment.

 

Counters have been done so many times, and you just added "Sludge" to the names of typical archetypic things.

If you're referring to names like "Archfiend", I use the name Archfiend because Archfiends get no love. Also, when I look at a card, the name doesn't matter much to me; the name isn't a stat. Plus, if i used a name like "Gorespike" and I later wanted to create an archetype named "Gorespike", what would I do? That, and you have to admit "Sludge Hammer" is an pretty original pun.

You should stop being so simplistic. Seriously, it's getting boring.

 

I used counters because it represents how mush sludge is in the pile are therefore how big its stats are. Since it is a big pile of solid and liquid stuff, a monster punching it or something similar would probably only not some of the Sludge away rather than completely splattering it, hence the removal of the Sludge Counter. Sludge King can absorb the other Sludge beings into himself to make himself stronger. How does that not fit sludge? I thought it fit the idea, or at least 1 aspect of sludge, perfectly. It looks like we each saw sludge in a different way.

 

I also don't get how your Sludge monsters keep changing into other types of sludge. That idea sounds more like a recycling archetype than a sludge archetype. You did give me an idea for another archetype though. Thank you for that.

I don't remember there being an archetype or making an archetype with a similar idea, except for a few cards in another one of my archetypes. As for the sludge comment, check the other sludge comment.

 

Counters have been done so many times, and you just added "Sludge" to the names of typical archetypic things.

If you're referring to names like "Archfiend", I use the name Archfiend because Archfiends get no love. Also, when I look at a card, the name doesn't matter much to me; the name isn't a stat. Plus, if i used a name like "Gorespike" and I later wanted to create an archetype named "Gorespike", what would I do? That, and you have to admit "Sludge Hammer" is an pretty original pun.

 

Why don't you "analyze" the word sludge correctly? Sludge is slimy water. Water can change form easily.

I and FC were thinking that it couldn't be destroyed in battle.

Recycling has been done by Kuroda Naoki, don't get to it.

Also, think of it like this. You have a glass, and a bowl. The glass is filled with water, and you pour the water, to the bowl. The water takes the shape of the bowl.

 

That's what I went with.

 

If you want something like that though, I advise clouds.

Recycling has been done by Kuroda Naoki, don't get to it.

Also, think of it like this. You have a glass, and a bowl. The glass is filled with water, and you pour the water, to the bowl. The water takes the shape of the bowl.

 

That's what I went with.

 

If you want something like that though, I advise clouds.

It's doable, just because lolkonami has made a cloud archetype that doesn't mean that u can't.

He was going to go with Cloud - Rain Cloud (or something like that.)

 

So I changed it to Meteobeast - Nimbostratus (etc.)
