Other info: Ben is always ready to accept a duel. All he sees in duels is the fun but is yet to know duel monsters is not all fun and games. Ben always thinks of others first and gets along with most people.

 

 

Chapters

[spoiler=chapter 1]Chapter 1:

It was in the alley way when it first begun. Where Ben’s destiny had started. He was making his way from 1of the local shops to buy some new cards when he was stopped by a tall man wearing a black hooded jumper. The man gave Ben a smile and said, “An interesting Duel Disk there kid. I’ll be taking that.” The man slowly reached out trying to grab the duel disk but Ben quickly reacted by shoving the man back and jolting away. “Punk. You are going to pay dearly for that,” grunted the man chasing after him.

Ben knew that he couldn’t out speed him but he did notice that he had a duel disk as well but one that obviously has been treated badly in the past and must be on brink of never working again. At this point the man had finally caught up to him. Ben quickly turned around and pulled out his deck from his pocket.

“Now I see you won’t give up chase. So I’ll make a deal beat me in a duel and you get my duel disk and this deck. If you lose then you will hand yourself in to the police,” said Ben putting in his Deck in his duel disk.

“Hmmm. I accept. Well I suppose I should let my victim know his name. I’m Graham,” the man said placing him deck in his duel disk.

“Victim? Well I’m Ben. Get ready for your last duel where there is no bars.”

(Ben: 4000)

(Graham: 4000)

“Well I say that I’ll go first,” said Graham giving of a smirk, “Draw. I summon Battle Ox in attack mode (ATK 1700) and then equip him with the powerful Axe of Despair increasing his already powerful attack by another 1000. (Attack 2700) I end my turn.”

“A beat stick deck. So common these days. I play smashing ground which destroys your Ox. The I summon Dark Heart Beast

(ATK 1800) and it will attack you directly,” said Ben pointing at Graham as the black beast charged towards Graham and swiping him with his claw at a fast speed.

(Graham: 1200)

“Now I activate the effect of Weapons Thief.

I can Special Summon it by tributing my beast. (ATK 500) Then it’s other effect activates allowing me to steal one of your equip cards and I choose your axe of despair (ATK 1500) now attack directly and end this duellists freedom,” said Derxor with a smile as his monster charged out graham who try to shield himself from the attack.

(Graham: 0)

Ben walked over to Graham who fell back from the blow and was covered in his cards. Ben gave a look and they were all old beat stick cards. “Time for you to go behind bars,” said Ben giving his hand out to assist Graham however Grahams grip on Bens hand was not human. Graham then stood up and laughed. His voice was now a lot deeper, “You really think it would be that easy to defeat me. Now I’ll show to real power!” Graham was now covered in a black aura and seemed have grown in physical strength. Ben was now scared. He never seen anything like this before. Then Ben smiled. Graham grabbed onto his own end and started screaming.

“Master I’m sorry. I know I shouldn’t reveal these powers yet. I wanted to teach this punk a lesson. Just please don’t…” Graham suddenly merged into the ground till he was completely gone. Leaving in screams. Ben was shocked as if he didn’t remember what just happened as if he totally blanked out at that very moment. Then Ben just begin to fell weak as if all his energy had just been flushed out. Ben slowly fell and fainted.

 

[spoiler=cahp 2]Chapter 2: Dream Duel

 

Ben slowly opened his eyes to find out he was in a hospital ben Besides him was a bald old man with big frame glasses. He was wearing a long white coat and was holding a clip board in his left hand.

“Ben you passed out a few hours ago. Can you remember anything?”

Ben was about to answer but felt tired and was loosing energy again. He was passing out.

“Quick. He going again…”

Ben had seemed to wake up again in a school playground yet it was deserted. The sky was black and all around him was no one. Slowly a figure walked up to him. As the figure came closer Ben set up his duel disk tat some how was still with him. The figure to reveal a pale white man. He was wearing big black sunglasses and had a weak amount of white hair on his head.

“Ben. This is not the real world. This is just an illusion. The only way to get out is beating me. If you lose you will be trapped in here for ever. Alone,” said the man in a lifeless voice.

Ben couldn’t seem to bring himself up to talking and just nodded as he placed his deck in his duel disk.

“We will be playing by standard official rules. You can only surrender on the 10th turn and onwards and we both start with 8000 LP,” the man said bringing out his deck.

(Ben: 8000)

(Man: 8000)

“I’ll start,” said the man, “I summon Dark Blade in attack mode. (ATK 1800) The play 1 card face down. I end.”

Ben who was previously scared to speak seemed to have some confidence rush through him. As if he was not alone.

“Lets go!” he said drawing his card, “I summon Dark Heart Beast (ATK 1800) then I play equality cancellation. This spell card destroys 1 monster on your side of the field who ATK is equal to mine. So your Dark Blade will be up for a early defeat.”

The man gave a smirk and laughed, “I play my face-down card Dark wipe out. When you try to destroy a Dark monster I control instead I negate it and destroy a monster you control. So your beast is the one going to the other side.”

“Not so fast,” Ben cheered picking a card out his hand, “I activate Spark of Light. Until the end of this turn all monsters become Light attribute. Meaning Dark Wipe out is unable to activate seeing there is no Dark monster out. How ever if Spark of Light is activated as a result of a chain all cards in the chain are destroyed and negate.”

The man groaned, “Not bad for rookie. But you will never defeat Arz the Dream Duellist.” Arz pointed his hand into the air and chuckled, “Any more moves you got?”

“I set 2 cards and end my turn,” said Ben, now a lot more confident than at the start.

“Hmm. I draw,” he said now looking at his new card that he drew, “I tribute my Dark Blade in order to summon my ace card. Come forth. Jinzo!” (ATK 2400) Dark Blade went into a flash of light revealing a monster that had a pulsing brain attached to some mechanical equipment. Ben stepped back as he knew that this card is used by pros in the championships. “As you know Jinzo blocks all Trap Effects rendering them useless,” laughed Arz pointing into the sky and then at Dark heart beast, “Jinzo shock this beast till there is no more.” Jinzo sent a electrical charge straight at the beast destroying it instantly. Ben covered his face to protect himself from the blow.

(Ben: 7400)

“I end my turn. Now lets see you counter this problem,” laughed Arz with the feeling that he was going to win for sure.

Ben stopped a thought to himself, “My 2 face-downs are Magic Cylinder which will inflict damage right back at Arz if I was attacked and my other face down was Mirror Force which destroys all monsters on attack mode on his opponents side of the field if his opponent attacked. However neither of them can be used due to Jinzo has complete lock down off all traps. If I can’t take him out with traps I’ll have to take him out with strength.” Ben drew his card and said, “Jinzo can’t deal damage if I defend. Go Dark Heart Defender LV 4 in defence mode. (DEF 2100) and I end my turn.”

“Your wrong because I equip Jinzo with fairy meteor crush which now inflicts damage to you in the difference between my attack and you defence. Now Jinzo shock him out of existence,” commanded Arz pointing at Dark Heart Defender LV 4.

“I activate my Defenders ability,” interrupted Ben. “Once a turn I can negate this card from being destroyed but I still take damage.”

Jinzo electrical charge deflected completely off the defender and a spark hit Ben in his cheek.

(Ben: 7200)

“Well I have a use for this card now,” laughed Arz, “I use second chance: strike. If 1 of monsters attacked 1 of your but failed to destroy it I can attack it again.”

Jinzo sent a second electrical charge at the defender. This time destroying it and the shatters of the defender hit Ben in the face.

(Ben: 7000)

Ben confidence was fading. He couldn’t defend with monsters cause of fairy meteor crush and Jinzo had lockdown on all his traps.

“This will have to do. I summon Dark Heart Ranger (ATK 1800) and if you control a monster with a higher attack I can halve my archers till the end of this turn to allow it to make a direct attack. (ATK 900)

Now attack with shadow arrow launch.”

The archer pulled out an arrow which she shot into the air. The arrow flew over Jinzo and hit Arz with speed.

(Arz 7100)

“Now I end my turn,” said Ben expecting another attack from Jinzo.

Arz smiled like he did when he drew Jinzo and chuckled, “As you know neither of us can use traps due to Jinzo but it will only be you once I equip Jinzo with amplifier. As long as this card is equipped with Amplifier I can use traps but your still unable to. Now Jinzo take his archer out.” Jinzo sent a charge destroying Dark Heart Archer and some of the charge then hitting Ben.

(Ben: 6400)

“Ben. I have you right were I want you. You can’t defend with out taking damage. You can’t play traps and I can. Victory is surely mine!”

I never been good at first chapters really :P. The other chapters will have longer duels and chapter 1 was supposed to be a short due for a reason that will be explained in a later cahpter.

I can see what u mean. Tbh chapter 2 really starts getting into the story and chapter 1 is really and intro. Do you think i should meerge the 2 chapters into one?
