Sure, it may not be like every other deck that one would find at a tournament, that was never my goal. A great deal of these cards are my favorites and when it comes right down to it, isn't that what it should mean with it comes to your personal deck? I know I'm not the greatest duelist out there, that's not my goal either. All I truly want is to have a great deal of fun because this is just a game after all is said and done.

Not being tournament worthy=/=Bad deck...

This.

It may be your personal deck, but just simply mindlessly throwing cards into 1 pile is not how to create a deck. You have to put your mind into it and think up what the theme of the deck would be and it's victory condition. There are enough cheap builds that you can make.

As they say, if a person cannot see their own faults, then there is no way they can improve in life. I know that my deck isn't perfect, that much is true. Therefore, perhaps you can offer some advice on how I can improve this unworthy deck then? Perhaps I need to take certain cards out and replace them with something better, ya? I would appreciate your input.

That's not exactly true. I have seen countless beginners throw in whatever cards they can get their hands on and quite honestly, the deck suffers. As you may have noticed, a great deal of the monsters are of the dark variety. The main focus is to try and make ways for clear shots at the opponent's life points be it disabling their spells/traps as well as destroying their monsters. The reason why it looks mismatched is because I also wanted to try and be prepared for whatever might come in my direction in a duel.

Oh, dear, that could prove to be quite a problem there. You see, since this deck has been with me for a good amount of time, it's just not one card but many that are my favorite. To be honest and as you suspect, my chances in tournaments aren't very good, but I keep going because it's fun to gain the experience of dueling somebody who is better at the game. I learn through my losses and simply have fun either way. Sure, losing leaves a bitter taste in my mouth; it just shows me that I still have a lot to learn.

Um, was the point of flooding this thread with pointless smut? Did you really have anything to say besides that disgusting stuff or what?

Hmmm, that is a rather interesting strategy to employ. The only thing I would have to say is too many spells and not enough traps. You see, I prefer to have a balance of card types in the decks I use, but I do see the point that you're getting across. The only other matter would be to actually get the cards that I don't currently have in my personal card collection, but that is another matter unrelated.

Just because you can't play traps right away like spells doesn't make them so worthless. Traps have some useful effects after all, but that's beside the point. While I may not see the whole picture that this deck lays out at this moment, I can understand a great deal of how the cards flow into each other. The odds of having a Destiny Hero and a Destiny Draw in your hand are a bit slim, but the combo would still work. The fact that Jinzo is in the deck must be another reason why there is a lack of traps as well.

Traps aren't worthless but spells take priority 90% of the time. The D hero, D Draw "combo" is known as a draw engine. Draw engines are quite obviously cards that allow you to draw cards to make your deck faster so you can get the cards you need quickly. There are six D hero's in this deck, 1 of which can be searched by RotA and all of which can be searched through Stratos...

It's actually kind of funny since he's my favorite character on the anime and the manga.

Ah, my apologies then. I'm afraid I haven't had a chance to see or hear of Stratos's effect. There are so many cards out there and my resources are limited to say the least. Speaking of draw engines, I did hear that Allure of Darkness was a sought after card when it came out due to its effect. Do you think a second card couldn't hurt to speed up the flow of this deck then?

Knock yourself out.

Extra draw engine's usually never hurt, especially if it's Allure, since it's splashable in any DARK deck.
