Gender: Male

Appearance: He has short, dark brown hair covering most of his right eye, a piercing green left eye is clearly visible. He has a somewhat muscular build. Neo was wearing a black suit and a vest, with a dark blue tie when he first arrived at Duel Academy.

Background: He comes from a rather rich family, he has a 15 year old sister, Nikkio. His father worked for KaibaCorp. for very long time, but is now retired. He started dueling at 6 years old, with a deck his father created. Neo was given The Tricky from his father, which turned out to be a duel spirit, The Tricky has been with Neo since he first started dueling. Neo has won countless tournaments in different reigons, but rarely talks about his victories. He was a student a West Academy, located not far off from America. He scored very well in the entrance exam and was place into West Academy's highest dorm-Onix Black.

Personality: Neo acts as polite as he can, he respects all his teachers. He likes to duel strong duelist and enjoys dueling altogether. He hates when an upper-class duelist thinks lowly of a weaker duelist. He'll go out of his way to help a friend in need.

 

 

[spoiler=Prologue]A young boy, no older than 16, boarded a helicopter,

 

"Are you all set?" the pilot asked,

 

"Yes sir." the he said as he put down his suitcases,

 

"This is West Academy Chopper 3, we are clear for take off, next stop Duel Academy!"

 

-Duel Academy-

Chancellor Sheppard appeared on the big screen over the Duel Field of Duel Academy, "We have a new transfer student coming from West Academy, he will arrive around noon today at the harbor and will be staying here for 1 year. I know that you all will treat our new student well, and show him your dueling skills!"

 

"You hear that bro? A new student from another academy!" Syrus said to Jaden,

 

"Yeah, hope he's a good one too!" Jaden replied,

 

"I heard from one of the teachers that he's in the top dorms of West Academy..." a Silfer Red student said to another,

 

"So, he's like an Obelisk Blue?" another asked,

 

"I guess..."

 

"Heh, it doesn't matter anyway! All new transfers are put into Silfer Red!" an Obelisk Blue student laughed with some others.

 

 

[spoiler=The new transfer from West Academy]The large helicopter touch-downed at the harbor, Chancellor Sheppard, Dr. Vellian Crowler and another teacher walked towards it, a tall, dark-skinned man got out of the helicopter and greeted Sheppard, "Hello Chancellor Sheppard."

 

Sheppard shook his hand, "It's good to see you again Chancellor Atmeu."

 

"Wait, a chancellor is transferring here?!" Jaden yelled surprised,

 

Just then another figure stepped out of the helicopter.

 

Chancellor Sheppard turned to him, "Ah you must be Neo." he shook his hand

 

"It's a pleasure to meet you Chancellor Sheppard, I look forward to staying at Duel Academy." Neo bowed slightly,

 

"Well, I guess I'll be leaving now," Atmeu turned and walked towards the helicopter, "and Neo, try not to beat these students too badly."

 

The helicopter rose and took off, Sheppard turned to Neo, "I'll have one of our teachers take your belongings to your room, in the mean time explore Duel Academy! Meet some new friends, and other duelist!"

 

A teacher that was standing next to Sheppard took Neo's suitcases, and lugged off.

 

"Here is your PDA," Crowler handed him it, "You can contact other duelist with it, and receive updates on Duel Academy, like new duel packs and such." Chancellor Sheppard and Crowler walked off, a couple of students stayed at the harbor.

 

"Hey!" Jaden ran towards Neo, followed by Syrus "I'm Jaden and this is Syrus, you'll be staying at our dorm!"

 

"Neo Dark," he said shaking Jaden's hand, "I look forward to dueling you both."

 

A few more students introduced themselves then walked off, The Tricky appeared beside Neo,

 

"Ok, let's go explore Tricky." Neo said as he walked towards the Red Dorm. There were a couple of Silfer Red students outside near the dorm,

 

"That Jaden boy, he also has a duel spirit..." The Tricky said to Neo,

 

"I know, a Winged Kuriboh. I'd like to talk to Jaden some more."

 

"I sense a great presence of duel spirits here also..."

 

"More duelist with spirits?"

 

"No... Almost all of them are free wandering..."

 

"Hmmm... Looks like this is going to be very interesting." just then Lynman Banner approached Neo,

 

"Ah, hello. I am Professor Lynman Banner, the headmaster of Silfer Red. You must be the new transfer-"

 

"Neo Dark." he said shaking Professor Banner's hand,

 

"Dinner starts at 7, you can introduce yourself to your new classmates there." Banner said before walking back to the Silfer Dorm,

 

"That gives me a lot of time... I can check out my dorm and room later, let's go to the Obelisk Blue Dorm, it's the highest ranked dorm here."

Neo said looking at his PDA, then started down the path, and made headed towards the Blue dorm.

 

[spoiler=Dorms] "Whoa, nice dorm... It looks a little better than the Onix Black dorm too." Neo spotted some one approaching from the corner of his eye, it was an Obelisk Blue student,

 

"Heh, you're the new student?" he said,

 

"Yes, from West Academy. Neo Dark." he extended his hand, the Blue student looked at Neo's hand then back at Neo,

 

"Heh, you might have been in the top dorm at West, but here you're nothing but a Silfer slacker!"

 

"And what is wrong being a Silfer Red?" Neo said crossing his arms,

 

"Heh! What nerve! Silfers are nothing but drop-out slackers and don't deserve to be a duelist!" the student laughed,

 

"Anyone can be a duelist, it just takes some work to be a good one." Neo said looking fiercely at him,

 

"Heh, sure."

 

"Let's say you and I have a duel, since you are in the highest dorm in Duel Academy and me in West Academy." Neo gestured to his duel disk,

 

"Hmmm, I get to humiliate you, and West Academy? Heh, you're on!" the Obelisk Blue shook his fist,

 

Professor Crowler jumped out from behind a couple bushes, he startled the Blue student and Neo, "Perfect! I'll arrange your duel right away! Tomorrow after classes would do just fine!"

 

"Your name student?" Neo ask before leaving,

 

"Heh, well... I guess you do need to know the name of the Obelisk Blue that beat a top-ranked West Academy duelist, it's Raizo Jintakki."

Neo turned and walked away from the Blue Dorm.

 

"I can see why most duelist here don't have duel spirits..."

 

"Yes, me too."

 

"I'm sure you'll teach him about real duelist..."

 

"I plan to."

 

Neo stopped in front of the Ra Yellow Dorm, and was greeted by one of the students,

 

"Bastion Misawa, from Ra Yellow. It's a pleasure to meet you." he said,

 

"I'm Neo Dark-"

 

"Yes, you're the new transfer student from West Academy. I would have came to the harbor, but I was busy testing out a new deck formula..."

 

"Interesting, how many do you have?"

 

"Hmmm, it's hard to say... I have many, but I do have six that are primed to duel with."

 

"I can't wait to face them." Neo said with a small grin,

 

"I would duel you, but I have some matters I need to attend to. So maybe later."

 

"I look forward to it."

 

Bastion headed back to his dorm,

 

"That Bastion guy seems like quite a strong duelist... I'll ask around..." Neo thought to himself, he looked around for another duelist, a Ra Yellow was walking down the path towards him,

 

"I'm Neo Dark," he started, "you?"

 

"Murro Catalyst, Ra Yellow. You're the transfer huh? Cool."

 

"Yes, but tell me, do you know Bastion Misiwa?"

 

Murro twirled a lock of his black hair with his hand, "Oh that guy, yeah I do. He's like the top duelist in Ra Yellow, a dueling genius. He scored the highest on the entrance exams."

 

Neo paused for a minute thinking, "Thank you Murro." he said as he walked off,

 

"Hey! You need any info on stuff just contact me."

 

Neo turned and did a slight wave, "Thanks again."

 

 

[spoiler=Duel Spirit]A couple hours pasted by as Neo was starting to head back towards the Silfer Red dorm.

 

"This island is pretty large, I'm still not done looking around. It's 6:47... I'll make it to the dinner."

 

"I think I'll do some exploration of my own, Mr. Dark..."

 

"Tricky, I've told you a thousand times. You can call me Neo."

 

"Sorry Mr. Neo..."

 

Neo sighed, "You're going to check the duel spirit's here?"

 

"Yes, I want to see what they think of the duelist here..."

 

"Ok. I'll meet you back at the dorm later on."

 

The Tricky disappeared, and Neo approached the Red Dorm. He walked up the stairs of the dorm and looked for his room number, one of the doors opened,

 

"Hey Neo!" Jaden said, "What are you doing here?"

 

"I'm looking for my room..."

 

"Here?!"

 

"Yes, all transfers are put into Silfer Red." he said to Jaden, then looked at the door numbers, Ah! Here it is..."

 

"Cool! You're in the room next to me and Syrus! But I think there's a student who's in this room too... I forgot his name though..."

 

"Ha! This is great. Listen I would like to talk to you more, but for now I will get acquainted with my new room." Neo said as he opened his door and stepped inside,

 

"This is... Quaint." he said looking around,

 

"A triple-bunk bed, a fairly large desk, a sink, a bookshelf, and a dresser. Not too shabby." Neo spotted his suitcases set neatly beside the dresser, he took off his duel disk and jacket then set it on the middle bed and began to unpack.

 

It was 6:56 when Neo was done, he stepped outside and knocked on Jaden's door,

 

"Jaden? It's Neo." Syrus opened the door,

 

"Oh, hey Neo! Jaden's not here, he went to the cafeteria..."

 

"Where's that?"

 

"It's right beside our dorm, it's not too big." he said sounding a little ashamed,

 

"Thank you Syrus." Neo said as he headed for the cafeteria.

Neo opened the sliding door and walked inside,

 

"Syrus was right, it's quite small..."

 

Neo looked around for Jaden, there were only a couple of Red students siting at the tables, he quickly spotted him,

 

"Jaden!" Neo said walking towards the table he was siting at, "Mind if sit here?" he asked politely,

 

"Sure!" Jaden said with his mouth full, "Man this stuff is deeeelish!"

 

"I have something I want to ask you Jaden," Neo said as he sat down in front of him, "How come you have a duel spirit?"

 

Jaden stopped stuffing his mouth with rice and looked at Neo, "You can see Winged Kuriboh?"

 

"Yes, I can hear and see duel spirits."

 

"Awesome! I can too! Do you have a duel spirit?"

 

"Yes, The Tricky."

 

"Huh, I didn't see him before..."

 

"He can be invisible even for those who can see duel spirits."

 

"Cool! I'm not sure what Winged Kuriboh can do yet..."

 

"How did you come upon your Kuriboh?"

 

"I was running late to the duel exams, and on my way there I bumped into this guy. He gave me Winged Kuriboh."

 

"Interesting..."

 

"What about you?" Jaden ask eating another mouthful of rice,

 

"My father gave me The Tricky. He worked for Kaiba Corp. for a long time, he didn't really play duel monsters, but he came across a card while working that he says 'spoke to him', so naturally he brought the card with him. He gave it to me a couple years ago, when I was training to become a duelist."

 

"The Tricky must be very special to you."

 

"He is, just as I'm sure Winged Kuriboh is with you." he smiled at Jaden's duel spirit, just then the door slid open again and more Silfer Reds poured in the cafeteria, siting at different tables. Syrus sat down next to Jaden, and Professor Banner stood at the front of the table where they were siting at. Banner cleared his throat and the students got quiet,

 

"Now students, I'm sure you have heard about our new student from West Academy. Since he is a transfer he will be staying at the Silfer Red Dorm," he looked at Neo smiling, "you can introduce yourself."

 

Neo stood up beside Professor Banner, "Hello everyone, my name is Neo Dark."

 

"Thank you Neo, I hope you all with treat our new student well. Now let's eat!"

 

Everyone started eating and talking again, Neo took a bite of the food, "Not half bad."

 

"Hey Neo!" Syrus said, "I heard from Dr. Crowler that you're going to duel an Obelisk Blue tomorrow!"

 

"Yes, Raizo Jintakki." he said grimly,

 

"Oh, that guy..." Jaden said with a hint of anger in his voice,

 

"He really despises you Silfer Reds."

 

"Yeah, I know. Most all Obelisk Blues don't like us..." Syrus said looking down,

 

"Don't worry, I'll show him the power of a true duelist."

 

"Your first match at Duel Academy is an Obelisk Blue..." Jaden said eating a little slower, "Not exactly the best way to start your first day at the Academy."

 

"No, the duel's tomorrow Jaden!" Syrus said eating some more food,

 

"After classes." Neo finished,

 

"Huh, probably at the Duel Field..."

 

They continued to talk about Duel Academy and themselves for some time. A couple of Silfer students would leave once in while, and soon the cafeteria was empty.

 

"Ah, nothing beats a meal like that!" Jaden stretched his arms out,

 

"It was pretty good..." Neo said wiping his mouth with a napkin,

 

"Well I'm gonna head back to my room, drop by later 'kay Neo?" Jaden said as he got up, and walked out of the cafeteria with Syrus,

 

Neo left a little while after them, it was dusk when he stepped outside. A refreshing brease rolled in, Neo filled his lungs with the fresh air and walked towards the harbor. On his way there, he spotted two figures standing near the lighthouse.

 

 

[spoiler=First Duel at the Academy]"Hello?" Neo said walking towards the lighthouse, both of them turned to face him,

 

"And you are?" the one with dark blue hair asked him,

 

"Neo Dark. But it's common courtesy for one to introduce themselves first to a stranger." he made a small grin,

 

"Oh, sorry about that. I'm Alexis Rhodes, and this is Zane Truesdale." Alexis walk towards Neo, he blushed slightly as he shook her hand gently,

 

"So you're the new student?" Alexis ask him,

 

"Y-yes! I transfered from West Academy." Neo stuttered,

 

"What kinds of dorms do they have there?"

 

"Well we-" just then a beeping sound came from Zane's pocket, he pulled out his PDA and opened it,

 

"Sorry but I have to go, are you coming Alexis?" Zane asked her before walking away,

 

"No, I think I'll stay here."

 

"Okay then, it was a pleasure to meet you Neo." Zane said as he walked off,

 

Alexis turned to Neo, "You were saying?"

 

"A-ah! Y-yes! Right, um, we have three different dorms at West Academy just like here. The lowest dorm: Pica Yellow, the mid-class dorm: Blaz Blue, and the highest ranked dorm: Onix Black."

 

"Hmmm, which one were you in?"

 

"Onix Black."

 

"So you must be a pretty tough duelist. I love a good duel."

 

"Would you want to duel then?" he asked sheepishly,

 

"Sure! That'd be great!"

 

"O-okay! Um, I seem to have forgot my duel disk..." Neo said sounding ashamed,

 

"Oh, well you can go get it. I'll wait." she smiled,

 

"Thank you, I'll be right back!" he said as he sprinted off,

 

"Okay!"

 

Neo flew past some trees and students to his room.

 

"Crap! How could I have forgot it?! Making a beautiful girl wait for me like that... Alexis right? It's a nice name..." he blushed, "Ah, focus! Deck, duel disk system check... Okay!"

 

Neo sprinted out of his room towards the harbor, almost knocking over a Red student,

 

"Hey!" he yelled,

 

"Sorry!"

 

Neo kept running, he saw Alexis standing near the lighthouse looking at the ocean. Neo slowed his step to a walk, and approached her,

 

"Sorry about that Alexis..."

 

"Oh, Neo! That was fast." she turned to him,

 

"It's not very polite to keep a lady waiting, especially a pretty one." he said with a small grin, Alexis smiled too,

 

"LET'S DUEL!"

Neo: "Ladies first."

 

Alexis: "Okay then I'll draw!... I summon Blade Skater (ATK/1400 DEF/1500) in attack mode, with two face-down cards. Your turn!"

 

Neo: "Alright, I draw... I activate Nobleman of Extermination to remove from play one of your face down cards! And I choose that one!" he pointed at the middle card, the card turned over to show that it was Scapegoat then it disappeared, "Okay, I place 1 monster in defense mode with another face-down card. I'll end my turn there."

 

Alexis: "Nice, I draw! Hmm, I'll summon Dunames Dark Witch (ATK/1800 DEF/1050) in attack mode! Dunames, attack Neo's monster!"

 

Neo: "My face-down monster was Robotic Knight (ATK/1600 DEF/1800), so no one loses Life Points or a monster.

 

Alexis: "I guess I'll end my turn from there then."

 

Neo: "My turn. I will summon Little-Winguard (ATK/1400 DEF/1800) in attack mode!"

 

Alexis: "But that monster is weaker than my Dark Witch-"

 

Neo: "All in due time Alexis, I'll also activate the Banner of Courage! This spell card adds 200 ATK points to all of my monsters on the Field during my Battle Phase. Now! Little-Winguard (ATK/1600 DEF/1800) attack her Blade Skater!"

Alexis: "I'm not done yet!"

 

Neo: "Before I end my turn I activate my Winguard's effect! I can change his battle position at the end of each turn, so I switch him to defense mode!"

 

Alexis: "What?"

 

Neo: "It's your move Alexis."

 

Alexis: "Pretty good Neo. I draw! Sorry Neo, but it looks like this is going to be a short duel! I activate Polymerization to fuse my Blade Skater on the Field with Etoile Cyber in my hand, in order to summon my ultimate card; Cyber Blader (ATK/2100 DEF/800)!"

 

Neo: "Whoa."

 

Alexis: "And since you have 2 monster cards on the Field Cyber Blader's ATK doubles! Cyber Blader (ATK/4200 DEF/800) attack Little-Winguard!"

Alexis: "Now you have only 1 monster on the Field, which means Cyber Blader's ATK is back down to 2100, but now she can't be destroyed by battle! Your turn Neo!"

 

Neo: "I seem to be in a bit of trouble here... Okay deck, I put all my faith into you. I draw! Yes, I can use this! I activate Dark Hole, so all our monsters are destroyed! Next I activate Graceful Charity, I draw 3 cards, then discard 2 from my hand... And I chose these 2, Mask of Darkness and The Illusory Gentleman. Now will discard another card from my hand, Nobleman of Crossout, in order to special summon my key card, come forth The Tricky (ATK/2000 DEF/1200)! I'm not done yet! I activate my face-down card; Deal of Phantom, this Trap card increases the ATK of one of my monsters by 100 for each monster in my Graveyard. And since I have 4 monsters in my Graveyard his ATK increases by 400! Now Tricky (ATK/2400 DEF/1200) direct attack!"

 

Alexis: "Hold it! I activate Shrink! Now The Tricky's ATK is cut in half, making it 1200!"

 

Neo: "Nice counter Alexis."

Alexis: "Okay, I draw! I activate Monster Reborn, and I choose to bring back Cyber Blader (ATK/2100 DEF/800)!"

 

Neo: "Now I activate my face-down card! Just Desserts! It inflicts 500 points of damage to your Life Points equal to the number of monsters on your side of the Field."

Alexis: "You should have waited to activate that card, because I also summon D.D. Warrior Lady (ATK/1500 DEF/1600) in attack mode! I activate this card too, Cyber Token [N.R.]! I can place 1 Cyber Token (ATK/100 DEF/100) on your side of the Field in attack position, but I skip my next Draw Phase. Now Cyber Blader's ATK is doubled (ATK/4200) since you have 2 monsters on your side! Attack The Tricky[b/] (ATK/2000), Cyber Blader!"

Alexis: "I know, I activate D.D. Warrior Lady's special effect! I'll remove from play her and your Dark Blade, leaving you wide open. Cyber Blader direct attack!"

 

Neo stood still, "Sorry Alexis, I activate Magic Cylinder! Turning your 2100 attack towards you!"

 

Alexis: "Ahhhhhh!"

"That was an awesome duel Neo!" Alexis said,

 

"You were a tough opponent, I enjoyed dueling with you." he smiled,

 

"Well I got to go..." she paused, then turned to Neo, "Here's my number, call when ever you want to duel me!" she waved as she walked off,

 

Neo looked at the number, "I like Duel Academy." he tucked it inside his vest and started for his dorm, it was getting late.

 

 

[spoiler=Roommates and Enemies] Neo walked inside his room and plopped in a chair,

 

"That was a close call... She is a strong duelist..."

 

The Tricky appeared beside Neo and greeted him,

 

"Hello Mr. Neo, how did your duel go?"

 

"It went well, the duelist I faced was pretty tough though. And your findings?"

 

"Well most of all the duel spirits here rarely duel any human opponents.

Mostly for the fact that nearly all students here cannot see us."

 

"Hm. Alright then, let's call it a night-"

 

The door of Neo's room opened, and two Silfer students walked in,

 

"Hey! Your da guy who almost turned me into road-kill!" the one with black short hair pointed at Neo,

 

"What? Oh! Sorry about that I was running late to a rather," Neo cleared his throat, "important duel."

 

"Hold on, aren't you the transfer student?" the other Red student asked,

 

"Yes. Neo Dark, and you are...?" Neo extended his hand,

 

"I am Riko Kaisawa," he shook his hand, "and the one you supposedly 'ran-over' is Garret Ressin."

 

"Da, just call me Gaz 'kay?"

 

"Sure, Gaz." Neo said shaking his hand, "I guess I'll be your roommate for this year."

 

"So's you just stayin' here for 1 semester?" Gaz asked him,

 

"Unless I change my mind. So I want to see how life is at Duel Academy."

 

"Well, there's not much 'life' in Silfer Red." Riko sat down,

 

"Yeah, we're at da bottom of the chain..."

 

"Everybody looks down on us Red's, like we're some sort of delinquent duelist group. Our dorm is... Like a shack. Foods not great either."

 

"I'm sure you two are fine duelist. So maybe some students need to polish up on their skills, a lot of duelist do, but that doesn't mean you should mark yourselves as losers." Neo looked at them,

 

"Yeah, well... It's kinda late. So I'm hitting the bunks." Gaz jumped into his bed,

 

"I shall as well, goodnight Neo." Riko said before getting in his bed,

 

"Night." he said.

 

Neo got up the next morning at 6:00, he quickly got dressed and walked out into the morning air. He yawned as he stretch his arms out,

 

"They can't see you as well."

 

"I know, seems like some duelist here need more confidence in dueling." The Tricky said,

 

"Agreed."

 

Neo walked towards the steps of the dorm, but noticed the sunrise to his right. He turned and stood staring at it over the sea, with his arms cross on top of the railing.

 

"This dorm has a nice view..."

 

"Morning Neo!" Syrus ran from his room's door to him,

 

"Oh, good morning Syrus!" he turned around,

 

"So, uh, today's the day you face that Obelisk Blue..."

 

"I know."

 

"I hope you win Neo! Show that Blue that Silfer Reds aren't a bunch of losers!"

 

"Ah ha ha! I kind of planned to. Well, I think I'll head over to the Duel Field..."

 

"I can show you were it is, if you want."

 

"And what about your roommates?" Neo ask him,

 

"Oh, I set an alarm for them. I like to get up early."

 

"Then lead the way Syrus."

 

They both walked down the path, to the Academy. Neo spotted something out of the corner of his eye, but when he looked nothing was there. They kept walking, he could see the top of the building from the trees. Then a cloaked figure flew in front of Syrus,

 

"Ha ha ha! I'm afriad I can't let you make it to the Duel Field!" he said,

 

"Ah!" Syrus jumped back,

 

"Hmmm, Dark was it? I challenge you to a duel! If I win then you give me your deck! And if you, somehow, beat me I give you my deck! Deal?"

 

"W-who are you?" Syrus demanded,

 

"That's none of your concern, blue hair!" the figure pointed at him,

 

"Hey! I wouldn't be one to talk, is it possible that your not showing your face because I might beat you or you're just ugly?" Neo crossed his arms smirking,

 

"Grrrrr! Bring it!" he yelled,

 

"LET'S DUEL!"

Neo: "I draw! Sorry stranger, but you lose! I discard Seven tools of the Bandit from my hand inorder to special summon The Tricky (ATK2000/DEF1200)!"

Neo: "Breaker's ATK increase also! Now Breaker the Magical Warrior (ATK3500/DEF1000) attack his Knight!"

Neo: "I'm afriad it's the end for you. Tricky, direct attack!"

"I found your weak point, so I use it to my advantage."

"You get easily angry and irritated, so you just focused on destroying my monsters with brute strength. In other words, you can't duel right when your angry." Neo said as he deactivated his duel disk,

 

"That was awesome Neo!" Syrus ran to him,

 

"But... This deck...!"

 

"Keep it, a duelist's cards are their soul. I have no plans of taking your soul."

 

"Y-you...!"

 

"Lead the way Syrus." he turn to him.

 

 

[spoiler=Onix Black VS Obelisk Blue] "Here we are Neo! This is the Academy!" Syrus stopped in front of him,

 

There were few students walking, sitting, and talking near the entrance.

 

"Whoa, it's pretty big." Neo looked up at the building,

 

"The Duel Arena is inside, let's go!"

 

Neo followed Syrus as they made their way through winding hallways, large recreational spots and classrooms. Syrus stopped in front of a large hallway,

 

"It's in there."

 

Neo walked futher and found himself infront of a large duel arena, with a even larger stadium-like seats around the wall. A couple of students were already seated on some of them. A teacher walked towards Neo,

 

"Are you fully prepared for the duel?"

 

"Yes, where is Jintakki?"

 

"We are still waiting for him to arrive, but in the mean time, you can wait here until we contact you." the teacher turned and walked off,

 

"I wonder if that weird guy you dueled got to him..." Syrus said,

 

"Hmmm, I hope not." Neo took a seat in the front row, along with Syrus,

 

"Oh! There goes my PDA... It's Jaden... I'll be right back Neo!" Syrus ran off with his PDA in hand,

 

"I have a hunch on who that guy is, or who's he working for... I'll have to investigate it further-" Neo's train of thought was interupted when he heard someone call his name,

 

"Neo!"

 

He turned around, to see Alexis walking down the stairs to him,

 

"Hey Neo! So your going to be dueling a Obelisk Blue huh? Cool." she said to him,

 

"Hi Alexis, u-uh, yeah, an Obelisk student... Ah ha."

 

"So it's West Academy vs Duel Academy. It's look's like this is going to be a awesome duel!"

 

"Well, I wouldn't say it our Academy's against each other. Just two duelist."

 

"Okay, I'll guess I'll take my seat. I'll be cheering you on!" Alexis said as she took her seat with a couple of other Obelisk Blue girls, the two girls immediately started talking to her as she sat down,

 

Sheppard appeared on the giant screen over the Duel Field, "Would Raizo Jintakki and Neo Dark come to the duel arena."

 

Neo turned and walked to the field, Raizo was already standing there with his arm's crossed,

 

"Heh, so you finally showed up."

 

"Not really, I've been here for a couple of minutes."

 

Professor Crowler walked between them, "Alright then, are both duelist ready?"

 

"Yes."

 

"Heh, yeah."

 

"Duel!" Vellion ran off the arena,

 

Raizo:4000

Neo: "I'll make this quick! Draw! With this hand- I'll discard 1 card from my hand to special summon The Tricky (ATK2000/DEF1200)! Also I summon King's Knight (ATK1600/DEF1400) in attack mode! Activate equip spell, United We Stand! It increase the ATK and DEF of the equiped monster by 800 for each face-up monster on my side of the Field! I equip it to Tricky (ATK3600/DEF2800)! Then I'll put 1 card face-down. Your turn."

 

Raizo: "Heh, you may have strong monsters, but you haven't won yet! Draw! I activate Magicial Mallet it allows me to put as many cards from my hand to my Deck, then I draw the amount of cards I put back in my Deck! I'll put all of my cards..."

 

Neo: "You must have bad drawing abilties."

 

Raizo: "Heh, just watch!... I activate Forest it increases the ATK and DEF of all Insect, Plant, and Beast monsters by 200! Next I will set two cards. Your-"

 

Neo: "At this moment, I'll use my face-down card: Mystical Space Typhoon! And I choose to destroy that card!"

 

Raizo: "Arg, my Mirrior Force is gone... Just another lucky move, your turn!"

 

Neo: "No monsters? I draw!... Sorry everyone, it's a short duel after all. I tribute my Knight to summon another Tricky!"

 

Raizo: "Hold it right there! Trap activate, Bottomless Trap Hole! It removes from play a monster you summon! Later Tricky! Heh, now I will still have some Life Points left when you attack with your other Tricky, that's when I'll-"

 

Neo: "That's fine, I play Monster Reborn to bring back my King's Knight!"

 

Raizo: "W-what?! No!"

 

Neo: "I wish this duel could have been longer... The Tricky attack!"

 

Raizo:400

Raizo: "Wa-Wait a sec!"

 

Neo: "King's Knight, finish this."

The Duel Field was dead silent after Neo attacked, some students whispered to others,

 

"...That guy got a perfect 3 turn win against an Obelisk Blue!"

 

"Whoa..."

 

"...Who is this guy?..."

 

Neo deactivated his duel disk and Crowler walked back on the the arena,

 

"T-The winner is Neo Dark!" he said out loud, looking very surprised,

 

"Wha-What?! No! This doesn't count!!! A-argh!!! There's no way!!! Neo!" Jintakki pointed a finger at him, "You're a cheat and-!"

 

Neo grabbed Raizo's jacket and held him, "I can understand you being mad that you lost, but calling another duelist just because, is low, how dare you call yourself a duelist." Neo pushed him away,

 

"Tch!" Jintakki stormed off the Duel Field,

 

Jaden walked up to Neo, along with Syrus, "That was an awesome duel Neo! Kinda short tho', but still!"

 

"Yeah Neo! You showed that Blue!" Syrus congratulated him,

 

Sheppard appeared on the big screen again, "Congrats Neo! That was a rather, erm, short duel, but anyway classes start at 9:00 students."

 

"Whoa! 2 whole hours! And I don't have to rush to class either!" Jaden laughed.
