(Now we've started. Sign ups are still open, they just have to be PM'ed. :))

Ty somewhat tiredly rubbed at her eyes. It had been a longer day for her then it had been for most of the other people present in the park. She had arrived hours early, helping to string up lights and clear away any trash that was around. Nevertheless, she was proud of her work, the park looked great.

As a boy passed her, tossing an empty soda can onto the ground, she had to restrain herself to keep from yelling at him to pick it up. Giving a half hearted sigh, she wandered to it, tossing it into one of the large garbage cans that were nearby, and easy enough to discard garbage into.

"So, why are we on trash duty instead of dueling?" the Blast Magician, her deck master, asked, as he trailed behind her, his staff in his hand. He followed his human counterpart, watching her as she placed her hands on her hips in a scolding fashion, which always amused him. A frail, weak human was scolding him? A duel monster. It was laughable.

"We're not on trash duty, we're acting as commissioners," Ty pointed out, allowing her hands to fall from her hips, "We have to make sure everyone follows the rules, and all that jazz," she twisted a little where she stood, briefly watching a duel taking place across the park, though the holographic images of the duel monsters could clearly be seen from anywhere. Somewhat closer to where she was standing, there were people dueling at stone tables usually reserved for chess. Ever since duelist had been showing up, she had been wandering the crowds, on a constant patrol.

"This is boring," Blast complained, crossing his arms over his chest, his staff poking away from him in an awkward angle, "we should have entered, we placed last year." He pointed out, gradually unfolding his arms, solely for the purpose of prodding his human with his staff, "I know we wouldn't have won, but think we could have placed again, why did you volunteer to do this? Now I have to stay here all night until all these people leave."

"Well, thanks for the vote of confidence," Ty sighed, shaking her head as she began to wander towards the holographic duels. "And I didn't volunteer to do this, you know that, but the 'former champ' that decided he wanted to 'host', asked me to help him."

"Yes, well HE is not here, so why are WE?" Blast asked, stressing the words. He grit his teeth slightly, contemplating giving the girl a sharp crack on the skull with his staff to smarten her up.

"Because I made a promise, and as much as I don't like him, I love dueling, and I know a lot of these people feel the same," she murmured, raking her fingers through her dark hair, she led her deck master to a duel that had looked particularly interesting, but by the time they actually reached it, the duel had drawn to an end.

"A promise? Tch," Blast shook his head, idly spinning his staff in one hand. He then tossed it to the other hand and did the same. "You flesh creatures, keeping 'promises' when other people cannot even keep them to you," he taunted, slowly setting the butt of his staff on the ground.

Ty did not bother to argue with her deck master. She was already too tired to be bothered with his words. Instead, she wandered over to the grass, sitting down on it with a sigh. "I'm on break now," she told him, laying back in the grass.

The Blast Magician stood over her head, peering down at her from where he stood. "I'll just keep my dignity and remain standing," he commented, shifting around idly where he stood, clearly only remaining on his feet for spite.

Ty snickered softly at her dueling spirit, stretching a little as she gazed at the sky, ignoring all the background noise and simply taking a moment to relax. "I'm exhausted, I'm not exactly worried about what anyone thinks about me," she pointed out, exhaling as the throbbing in her feet became more evident now that she was not standing on them. Perhaps laying down had been a bad decision.

Blast murmured something, likely some insult or another. He turned his face to a nearby duel, watching as a Feral Imp with several equip cards destroyed an Axe Raider. He laughed softly, taking great amusement in the fact that the owner of the Axe Raider lost the remainder of it's life points, meaning the Feral Imp had won the duel for it's owner. "I could take it," Blast told himself, giving a confident, almost arrogant nod.

ooc: Wow long post.

Jason woke up to his alarm clock. He forgot to take off the alarm for the canceled party. He yawned and streched as he got out of bed. He got his clothes on and started to board down the street. "Nice night, to bad I nobody who I know is up for a duel..." he said geting off his board as he arrived at the park.

ooc: reason it was a long post was to ensure a good beginning :P

ic: Faiyt was in a hurry. He was running late for a train that would bring him to the tournament two cities away. I should be used to this, is what he thought has he hiked through the forest he'd been camping in. It was late in the evening and the last train was soon to depart.

"Why is it I ALWAYS ask favors of you, though you never follow through?" He asked the trailing Duel Spirit behind him. Though he said it with an edge, the Spirit knew that he was only joking with him.

The Duel Spirit laughed then answered, "It's because you love me of course, I'm too adorable!" and with that, Faiyt gripped him in a headlock.

"Adorable, eh? You look like a dragon encased in turtle shell armor!" He said while struggling to keep the Spirit in a headlock as he fought back, "How is THAT adorable Dragnov, haha?"

Finally out of the headlock, the 2 friends continue to walk to the train, hoping to finally make more friends. For they had been traveling together for years, hoping to spread the worth of the Duel Monsters game. They've met many people along the way, some they could call friends, but never stayed in the same place long enough to keep them. That fact saddened them, for they were always lonely except for each other.

Shane was taking a walk in a local park and found a bench under a shady tree "This looks like a good place to rest for a while" Shane sat down on the bench, and saw a woman a little way ahead of him with what appeared to look like a duel monster above her. Burstinatrix appeared beside Shane.

"Shane!!! Why aren't we testing the new deck that you built? I believe that you have a good chance of winning some duels with this new deck!?!" Burstinatrix said hastily waiting for Shane to find someone to duel with.

"Its because I spent all night making this deck perfect. DO you realize that I haven't had any sleep in the past two days. I have spent days looking for the perfect cards for this deck. I have spent some of my own money on some of the cards for this deck. Don't worry about it Burstinatrix, I'll find someone to duel later" Shane explained. "All that I am focused on now is that woman over there. It looks like she is like me. We both have Deck Masters that appear whenever they like. I think I'll go over and talk with her.

"Uhh.. yeah... I don't think so!!!" Burstinatrix started to yell at Shane. "She is just like us, but thats the thing, we shouldn't get involved with other people, it will cause things to get stranger than they already are."

"How would you know anything?" Shane questioned Burstinatrix's theory. "I think I'll go over to her and talk to her."

As a boy on a skateboard rolled by, Blast lifted his staff, a few malicious intentions on his mind, judging by the smirk on his face. He was about to trip the boy when the voice of his companion threw him off, allowing the boy to glide by without any harm coming to it.

"Don't even think about it," Ty murmured, slowly sitting up on the grass, she looked at him, "For an ancient spirit, you're pretty immature," she pointed out, earning her a prod in the side with the butt of Blast's staff.

"I was not going to do a thing," he denied, though eyed the boy on the skateboard wearily, "I was just going to do our job, he's a hazard."

"Making someone have an accident is hardly a way to promote safety," she laughed, smiling up at her magician friend as she did so.

Pleased he had made it on the train at the last second, Faiyt and Dragnov sat down and relaxed. He was starving and had no money for the trolley going around. He decided to ignore his grumbling stomach and start going through his cards to build the perfect one for the tournament.

"So what do you think Dragnov? Any Good?" He asked his partner on his newly finished deck. They were anxious enough to get to the tournament, and deck making was making them stress a lot.

"This deck actually looks pretty good Faiyt, if I do say so myself. I think we're about ready to kick some butt!" Dragnov proudly said with his claws pounding his chest.

Before they knew it, the train had arrived and people shuffled out as fast as they could. Upon stepping out, Faiyt and Dragnov took a deep breath and sighed, they had finally arrived.

After walking several long city blocks, the two finally arrived at the arena. Pulling out a flier Faiyt had found during his travels last month he searched for instructions.

"Aha!" He exclaimed as he found what he needed, "Says here we have to found a person named...Ty. Well let's get to it then!"

But as they looked onward, they realized it would be harder then they thought. There were so many people! So they searched and searched, finally giving up foolish man pride and asking for help from an employee.

"Ah Ty you say? Yeah she should be cleaning up some trash over there my boy," an employee directed while prodding his bushy beard, "Have a good time today!" he said as they left.

Upon shuffling through the crowd they managed to make it through, where they noticed a girl sitting on the grass with what appeared to be a magician next to her. Out of the corner of Dragnov's eye, he saw a badge on the girls uniform.

"Look, look Faiyt, she has a Commissioners badge!" He exclaimed as he jumped up and down.

"Yeah..I see that little buddy, but is that a Duel Spirit or a little man doing cosplay?" Stunned from the fact that this was the first time he had ever met someone like him before, he shook off the feeling and walked towards her. "Excuse me, are you Ty? We'd like to sign up."

Hearing her name, Ty lifted her head to the boy, noting his deck master and taking particular interest in it. She had seen several before, though she were encountering more then usual tonight, due to the fact that she had to register people. "I am Ty," she answered, getting to her feet and dusting off her jeans a little.

Blast looked to the other deck master, giving him a quick sizing up before disregarding him and looking to the crowd once more. He stood tall alongside Ty, whom he was already taller then, mind you, the long magicians hat he wore made him look like a giant.

Ty fished into her pockets, pulled out a handful of what looked like duel cards. However, the face of the cards was not the usual dueling card, instead it had fields that needed to be filled in. "Alright, all you have to do is fill these two tournament cards in. One copy is for me, the other is for you," she said, indicating to the differences in the two cards, "When you duel, and beat an opponent, you get their tournament card, or one of their cards depending on how far along they are. Naturally, if you lose, you give up a card. If you have more than one card, you can wager as many cards as you like." She said, for what felt like the millionth time that day. Putting away the extra copies, she soon used her free hand to pull out a pen, which she also offered to Faiyt.

Still surprised seeing another Duel Spirit, Faiyt reached for the pen and started filling out the cards.

"I've never met another person like me before," Faiyt announced to Ty, who was waiting for the card, "My name is Faiyt, and this is Dragnov, pleased to meet you."

Dragnov put on a cheesy smile and said, "Yes, very pleased to meet you guys, I hope we can become friends, since me and Faiyt don't have ma-OW!"

With a whack on the head, Dragnov shut his mouth. Faiyt stood there, blushing, not knowing what to say. Man, how could he just say that so nonchalantly like that? I mean, I know it's true but..I don't wanna seem desperate.

"Another person like you?" Ty asked, not quite understanding what exactly he was getting at.

"He means he's never seen another human with a duel spirit," the Blast Magician pointed out to her, watching the other pair interact, he snorted softly.

"Ah, right, well..." She trailed off, raising a brow at the Dragnov, which seemed to not know when to keep it's mouth shut. She laughed a little at it, clearly not bothered by it. The dragon was somewhat refreshing, as she had to deal with her own, sarcastic, cynical spirit all the time. "There are a few other duelists with deck masters that I've noticed hanging around tonight," she assured him, glancing around and catching glimpses of some dueling action.

"As you know, my name is Ty, and this is my deck master, the Blast Magician." She said, indicating to the oddly dressed humanoid at her side.

Blast smirked, he rather enjoyed being referred to as 'master,' even if it did have the word 'deck' in front of it. Holding is staff in both hands, he leaned himself against it slightly, using it to pivot himself from side to side as he surveyed the area.

Faiyt breathed a sigh of relief as he handed the card to Ty. So there are others, huh? I'm gunna have to look out for them then.

"Umm..do the Duelists here get free food and refreshments? We've been traveling for quite awhile and haven't eaten anything since yesterday," he chuckled embarrassingly.

"This is an unofficial match, so there's nothing fancy, but there is a stand just over the hill with some Kool Aid, cookies and little things like that." Ty responded, jerking her thumb to a small hillside that led to a grassier area of the park, where most of the holographic duels were being held. She then extended her hand, waiting for her card and pen back from the boy.

Blast turned himself slightly to look at the hill just behind them, he wondered for a moment how the duels were progressing. "We should start patrolling again," he told his human, whom he never referred to by name. "We should see if last years chump showed up yet," he added, lifting his staff.

"That's 'champ', Blast," she corrected, looking to him.

"I stand by what I said," he argued, shaking his head softly.

After handing her the card, the girl left to go patrol. With her back turned towards him, Faiyt quickly bowed and thanked her quietly. Soon after, he and his friend rushed over to the snack table and began stuffing their faces.

"Thish ish shooo good!" Faiyt said while food was being eaten. While doing so, he noticed more and more Duelists with Spirits around them. It was a strange sight for him, to be surrounded by all these people like him.

After finishing up, he and Dragnov headed toward a crowd to go see a duel. It was amazing. One Duelist had Sabersaurus out on the field and 2 facedowns in his Spell & Trap field, he also had 2200 Life Points left. The other duelist had nothing left on his field and had 1200 Life Points left. He than summoned a Goblin Attack Force monster that could easily take that dinosaur down. But, to his dismay, the other duelist flipped over a trap and revealed a Bottomless Traphole, leaving the duelists field wide open again.

"Oh no! I lost!" The duelist cried out as the other player attacked his Life Points with a final blow. Wow, what a great match! I hope I battle many skilled duelists like these.

Akira walks down the road at night while Silver his deck master follows

"Akira why will u not summon blue eyes ever in a match, he pretty much unstoppable." Cries loading up his duel disk to his arm "I want to, it.....you know I watched my father lose in a match with blue eyes when I was 10....I just don't want to lose with him and I have a better card then Blue Eyes, with my pyro deck I more unstoppable." He walks further down the road while holding up a very rare card up to his eyes "With Red Eyes Black Dragon, on my side, I'll never lose a match." He then puts the card back in deck case which contains his pyro deck with his dragon deck as his deck master smirks at him and they continue walking.
