OOC: Not much has happened, Ninja, just a few introductions and duels. Feel free to read the previous posts for any info.

Having just read all of the posts up until now (Took me a while I know) I have noticed several things.

[spoiler=Crappy RPing]

Firstly, don't force yourself to RP. If you're too tired, just say you're too tired and will be back later.

Also please refrain from using any "Aim type" or shorthand. If you must, write or type out your post before you actually post it. Reread and if you can, spellcheck.

I would rather wait 5 minutes for you to check your writing than spend 10 minutes trying to decipher it.

As for NPCs there are 3 tiers of NPCs.

[spoiler=NPCs]

1.The first tier are Permanant NPCs. These are characters that will be constantly seen throughout the RP. These NPCs are created by Malice and myself and can only be controlled with permisson.

2.The second tier are Filler NPCs that appear only when we need a character to get things moving. These NPCs can be created by anybody but must be reviewed by Malice or myself and should be controlled with permission.

3. The last tier are Disposable NPCs. These are NPCs made on a whim to help character or story development (such as a weak duelist or a scruffy park attendant). These guys have no bio of their own and dissapear when you're doine using them. Feel free to stick in any Disposable NPCs when you need to show a new character trait or card.

As for decks and duels, Malice and I will have to review and come up with rules and a dueling system.

(Another thing I'd like to add is to refrain from powerplaying. I don't know what's the norm around here, but you have to be willing to take a loss every once in a while if you want everyone to enjoy the RP. Also, it's much more amusing to see a close duel, then to see someone completely and utterly slaughtered.

Beyond that, I think Premier said it all.)

Ty looked over the card that Tal handed her, "Everything appears to be in order," she assured him, giving a kind smile as she tucked away the tournament card. "Have fun dueling, and good luck in the tournament," she added, briefly diverting her eyes to his deck master.

Blast eyed Hunter and Akira as they approached once more, wondering for a moment if there was some sort of problem. As he overheard their conversation, he turned his nose upwards and snorted softly, "A tournament is not simply about winning, flesh creature," he told Akira, giving his head a shake as he did so, "even if you did manage to win, and walked away without learning anything new, then you're hardly a winner at all. If you ask me, the learning experience is the real reason to partake in a tournament," he ranted, his arms crossed over his chest as he turned away.

The comments about 'luck' seemed to particularly irritate the Blast Magican, to the extent that he grit his teeth and let out a soft growl.

Ty cast a sidelong glance at her duel spirit, a light sigh passing her lips, "Still bitter about last year?" She asked knowingly. He did not respond to her, but she knew very well what was on his mind. Closing her eyes for a moment, she crossed her arms loosely over her chest, "Well you guys should consider yourself lucky, last year, the winner of the duel got to take any card they wished from your deck. One loss could completely break your strategy." She told Akira and Hunter, slowly reopening her eyes and glancing to Blast. "It really wasn't a great year for dueling. Teams of three or four people would take turns battling an opponent. The first would take out a card key to their strategy, while the others would take the rare or strong cards, and no one could really do anything about it, besides beat them, which grew more difficult as they gained more cards," she concluded, shaking her head, "Such bad sports, I hate people like that..."

he looks at ty "well, i do want to learn more, i even have a deck in the making that, the more i learn, i'll add more cards, know what your opponent knows is always a good learning basis, and a duel with that person can teach you alot about the person." he smiles knowing more now then he did befour the conversation started with Ty.

Lane pouted as she sat down on a boulder. "Well this is no fun" she then took out a chocolate bar from a hidden pocket in her apparently pocketless skirt and began munching

Somewhere in the darkness behind her flashes and spark crackles indicated that Prof. Blitzkreig, a german duelist with wild lemony yellow hair, a brilliant, almost maniacal white smile and a duel disk that looked like a circuitboard with lightbulbs a livewires, had jus finished off another oppenent. "Zat vas enzerzaining!" he chuckled as the kid sadly handed over his favorite card, Blowback Dragon, and his tournament card. "Vho's nexz?"

OOC: New NPC ppl!

Meanwhile, Scroll sat meditating in the middle of a circle he had cut into the grass. By now he had seen several duel spirits wandering about and he was quite unnerved. "What is going on here?" he thought to himslef "and why does this park seem oddly familiar? I detect a strange aura.."

OOC: Ok, I can follow that rule, but my Deck is meant to have a lot of High-Level monsters, since it's Yubel.

Hunter was happy with this tournament. He looked over at Blast, giving a slight glare, mostly upset with his emotions and sensitivity. "Ty..." He said, sitting next to her, "I think your Deck Master might have a problem with me." He said shaking his head, wanting to be on Blast's good side if he was going to be friends with Ty. "Also, aside from that, tell me, how were these Duels last year, and finally when does this Tournament start?" He spoke, a strange English accent coming in near the last question, yet he ignored it.

Mummy looked at Blast as he floated to him. "Do you have a problem with these kids? You better not worry about mine, he is trying to be friendly with Ty. He won't start trouble, that isn't within him. I'm sure people have done things to Ty that you don't approve, but you shouldn't worry about Hunter, he's got a clean slate." He mumbled just loud enough to Blast for him to hear, but light enough so Hunter and Ty couldn't.

Hunter had been worried about this Tournament. Would his Yubel Deck win? Should he use his Lightsworns? Sure they were quicker, but there were odds that could've made him lose. With Yubel, he had more strategy, more speed. What could he do? These thoughts and questions ran through his head, almost giving him a headache. He grabbed his head with his left hand, groaning very lightly in pain. He knew that when he felt a pain like this, he became a little, disoriented, but he attempted to stay up.

Ty laughed a little at Hunter's concerns, "He has a problem with everyone. He's always like this, just ignore him and it'll be fine," she assured, giving her hand a light wave as she glanced back to Blast and the mummy monster. "Some of the duels were amazing, I had never seen some of the strategies people had used, so it was an eye opener. As for this years tournament, it's already begun. Or rather, the elimination process had begun. When the vast majority of these duelists have been eliminated, then the semifinals will begin, or the qualifying rounds for the semi finals, depends how many people make it through." She cleared her throat a little as she concluded what she was saying, "You'll have to get quite a few tournament cards to be eligible, though."

Blast snickered at Mummy's words, "You think I worry what a fellow flesh creature will do to my human? Nay." He continued to laugh softly at the thought, "There are worst things out there then humans, you should know that."

Ty arched a brow at Hunter as he groaned, "Is something wrong?" she asked, noting the way her nursed his head.

Hunter stood up, letting both his arms drop to his side, closing his eyes as he would sigh gently, almost a relaxed sigh. "Don't worry about me. I'm just fine. I suppose I should go get some cards then. Hope I don't lose, I'm gonna give myself the chances I deserve, and I will make it to the Finals. That is a promise." He said, an amazingly determined tone in his voice. He slowly walked away, going past quite a few Duelists, ignoring them. He stood in the middle of the pack, knowing that standing in this location meant several people would find him, and he was sure several people would ask a Duel from him. Now he played the waiting game.

-Now he was apart of the tournement. At least something exciting was happening in his life. Turning around Warrior; Tal's deck master gestered a nod before disappearing. Stepping over to Hunter he had heard what he was speaking of. Firmly Tal brought his left hand up and slapped it against Hunter a hand on the shoulder that was a clear sign of the strength from training with the marines. Finally, Tal spoke.....-

"Best of luck."

-Letting loose he allowed Hunter to walk off. Meanwhile, Tal looked down pulling the cards from a pocket of a belt he had around his waist. He cycled through the cards looking over each and everyone of them. This was the same deck that he had put together when he was younger and held a strong connection to the cards. They brought him courage and honor to fight and win in a battle; even if a battle was a duel.-

Hunter only knew that this guy had come to participate in the Tournament, but he disregarded the strong hand, and nodded his head in response to him, continuing to stand in the middle of the groups, waiting for a chance to Duel someone. Hopefully the Duel wouldn't take to long, he still had something he had to take care of. Deep in his mind he was thinking of Akira, determined to defeat him among everyone else, and rid him from the Tournament. He looked all around. So many Duelists to choose from, so many easy Tournament Cards. He decided to talk to a person, he supposed not everyone would come to him. So he had to go to them as well.

OOC: Can I create an NPC? It's just to reveal my True Yubel Deck. It also gets me my first Tournament Card.

Hunter was walking when he noticed a girl nearby on the swings. She looked young, somewhere around fourteen or fifteen. He smiled as he noticed a Duel Disk on her arm and slowly walked over to her, sitting on the swing next to her, trying to conduct small talk before Dueling. Before he could say anything, the girl simply stood up, turned towards him and looked at him. Her face looked fierce, he could sense a determination.

"Duel me..." The girl said with a slight tone of demand, more then just asking. Hunter supposed he couldn't refuse. He quickly put his Deck in the Duel Disk, smiling up at Mummy, and just with that expression Mummy knew, Mummy could sense he had copies of him in his Deck. Mummy felt proud.

Hunter drew his cards, as she drew hers. He picked up the next card of his Deck, smiling at his hand. "I'll start us off," Hunter shouted as he began by placing a monster in face-down Defense Position, followed by 2 face-down Cards.

Field: Face-Down Defense, 2 Face-down Spell/Traps

LP: 4000

Hand: 3

Graveyard: N/A

Deck: 34

The Girl wasted no time. She drew a card, quickly throwing down 2 Face-downs as well. "I Summon Cyber Harpie Lady," she said, looking as if she had a happy expression already. "I'll attack your monster with Cyber Harpie Lady." She shouted as the card flipped up. It was a Grave Squirmer. The girl seemed disgusted by the look of the card, but watched as her Cyber Harpie Lady shattered along with Grave Squirmer. "What's going on here?! Why'd my card get destroyed?!" She screamed like she was scared now.

Field: 2 Face-down Spell/Traps

Hand: 3

Graveyard: Cyber Harpie Lady

LP: 4000

Deck: 34

Hunter smirked. "It's the effect of Grave Squirmer. When he is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, I can destroy 1 card on the field, so I chose your Cyber Harpie Lady. Now I do believe it's my turn, so I'll draw. I play this, Armageddon Knight. With his ability I send 1 DARK monster from my Deck to the Graveyard. I'll send my Yubel. Now, prepare to lose this Duel. I activate Limit Reverse. This card lets me Special Summon 1 monster with 1000 or less ATK from my Graveyard to the field. I choose my Yubel. Now that she has been Summoned, I'll switch her to Defense, thus her destruction." He said as he watched Yubel explode. The girl was laughing, but suddenly her reaction became one of fear. "Come forth, Yubel- Terror Incarnate. And I'm not done yet, I'll activate Generation Shift on Armageddon Knight, sending him to the Graveyard, and allowing me to add 1 to my hand. Now, I'll end my turn."

Field: Yubel- Terror Incarnate, 2 Face-Down Spell/Traps

Hand: 4

Graveyard: Generation Shift, Yubel, Armageddon Knight, Limit Reverse

LP: 4000

Deck: 33

The girl gulped, unknowing of much about Yubel, she didn't know what to do. "I don't know why you'd play such a weak monster in Attack Position." she said as she quickly drew her card, playing it face-down. "I Summon Sabersaurus and activate Mage Power. This gives him 3400 ATK since I have 3 Spell/Traps on the field. Now, I'll send Sabersaurus to attack your monster." She said, sure of herself now that he only had 1 face-down.

"You put up a good match, but you lose." He said as he quickly flipped his face-down. "Go, Unfortunate Report. This Trap Card causes you to conduct your Battle Phase twice, which means, you take 6800 Damage due to my Yubel's ability. And this Duel is over." He said, his Duel Disk turning off, him walking to the girl opposite of him.

The girl just looked at him, tears forming from her eyes. "I can never win anything. My Deck is horrible." She said, falling to her knees, taking the Tournament card out of her pocket. Hunter took it and put his hand on her head.

Hunter looked at her and smiled slightly. "Here, have this Deck," he said, handing her a Deck from his Suitcase. It was his Lightsworn Deck. "You should be able to win more with that Deck. And don't worry about it, I have an extra copy of it. I make Double Copies of all my Decks, just in case one gets stolen." He said to her smiling a little more kindly now.

The girl took the Deck, smiling and wiping her tears away. "Really?! Thank you so much! These cards look awesome!" She shouted, feeling so happy. She threw her arms around him, hugging him tight. Slowly releasing him and walking over to Ty, she announced that she lost her only card and was out of the Tournament. She walked back over to Hunter, asking something he found kind of unexpected, "Can I stay with you? I could be your good luck charm." She said, looking at him with big, cute eyes, and an adorable look.

Hunter hated the fact that he was a sucker for big eyes. He smiled, closing his eyes as he looked down, then opened his eyes, looking up at her. His eyes were like two glowing oceans of blue, supported amazingly by his blonde hair, swaying slightly within the breeze of the day. "Of course. I can't say no to someone with big, cute eyes." He said to her admittingly, as to where she blushed as the comment. He had won his Second card, and had a girl to talk to. So far this Tournament was going well. He suddenly remembered, "Oh, by the way, I'm Hunter. What's your name?" He asked, feeling rude he didn't ask before.

The girl smiled, continuing to look at him with her cute eyes. "My name is Nahlia. It sounds kind of like Dahlia, but only it's an N." She said laughing. Hunter joined her in the laugh. "How old are you, she asked, curious enough to ask, considering the situation they were in at the time.

Hunter looked back kind of blankly. "I'm 19." He had said, a funny smile across his face as he rubbed the back of his head. "I know I don't look like it, but I am. Most people mistake me for 17."

Nahlia simply looked at him, laughing lightly. "That's funny. We're the same age." She said, a more obvious tone of happiness coming through her voice. Hunter twitched at the fact. This girl was 19?! She looked so young. He was definately not going to judge people anymore. Especially their age.

Ty had been shuffling through the registry cards when the girl approached her, quickly told her that she had lost her tournament card, and walked off once again. She lifted her head in time to see the girl walk away, and rose a curious brow. "I hope everyone knows they don't have to tell me they're out. I just have card copies to make sure that no one tries to fake their way into the finals with bogus cards," she absently pointed out, once more shoving away the registry cards.

"Perhaps you should have mentioned that," Blast pointed out, sounding less then amused. It bothered him that they were still at the park, even though the night was growing old. He rolled his shoulders a little, turning himself to Ty as he huffed softly.

Ty faced her duel spirit with a light smile, "You can leave, you know. Do that spirit thing you do and go wherever you go, I'll be fine here," she assured him, watching as he shook his head.

"No. For this, I'll stay." Blast argued, closing his eyes briefly, he jerked himself slightly when he heard someone call to his human. It was not so much the name that was called, as much as it was the voice that called it. He twisted around, glaring at the male from within his helmet.

Ty's expression fell for a brief moment, until she realized how displeased she much have looked, at which point she forced a smile and turned to face Jamison, the champion of the year previous, "Hey," she greeted, resisting the urge to tell him that it was impolite to be late, especially when you were hosting the event.

He looked around, his usual arrogant smirk over his lips. He ran his fingers through his spiked black hair, looking around the park and giving a shrug of his shoulders, "This place looks kind of lame," he commented, snorting as he looked around. He soon gave another, this time more dramatic shrug, "I guess this will have to do," Jamison mocked, stalking around in a circle, constantly observing his surroundings. He made a face, then licked his lips, "Doesn't matter, I guess, I'm going to wipe the floor with everyone here, just like I did last year," he chuckled, going off on some rant about his dueling skills that neither Ty nor Blast paid any heed to.

When he finally stopped praising himself, he rubbed his hands together, "We're gonna clue this up for the night soon enough, and when you get here tomorrow, I'll show you what a real tournament looks like," Jamison smirked, then headed towards a water fountain. With one hasty step onto the rim, he called out to the crowd of duelists, some which applauded him, some which seemed to resent him, and the remaining percentile that did not recognize him.

"You have an hour before this officially shuts down for the night, if you don't have at least three tournament cards by then, don't bother coming back tomorrow!" He announced, laughing as he watched duelist begin to scatter and scramble to duel. Jamison then hopped down from the fountain rim, walking past Ty and Blast with his obnoxious smirk. "Oh, I love the chaos," he laughed, tromping over the hillside.

Ty rest her fingers lightly against her temple, wishing, that for once things would resolve themselves easily.

"Well, if nothing else, I can leave soon," Blast murmured, though he seemed to project the same displeased attitude.

-Tal turned moving across the city; then something caught his eye. A duel. He moved over watching the duel between Hunter and another girl. Crossing his arms he gave a short smile as it went on. He was a strong duelist. But was he strong enough to defeat any of the others that where in this tournement. He then turned seeing another man watching the duel. Un-crossing his arms he walked over to him.-

"If you need some practice how about you and me duel. I'll go easy on you?"

-Tal gave a gestered nod taking a few steps away from him as well. Stretching his arm out his duel-disk activated. It wised to life showing up 4000 life points. Warrior; Tal's deck master moved next to him waiting for the moment of dueling. His deck tightly secured in the duel disk that waited for the first card to be played.-

-Interesting one monster card face down in defense position and two face-down monsters. There had to be a signifigance behind it. Turning to his own deck he drew a card. It was not one of the best cards in the world but at least it was something.-

"I'll begin my turn by playing one monster face down in defense position and one card face down and end my turn."

-He was not aiming to fall for any traps. Either way he was helping him through the practice of dueling and this was the perfect way to do it.-

LP: 4000

Field: 1-Defense Monster, 1-Face Down Spell/Trap

Hunter hadn't noticed much going on, considering he was talking to the girl he had previously defeat. Nahlia seemed interesting, and the closer he got, the more it seemed that her eyes seemed a sparkling ocean blue, much like his. "Excuse me, Nahlia?..." He asked looking at her curiously.

Nahlia turned a slight red, embarassed by his look at her. She nodded her head slightly, signaling that she was ready for the question, but giving a slight "Hmmmm?" as to show she was listening.

Hunter smiled as he pointed to her eyes. "Your eyes look very pretty in the setting sun/moonlight (Not sure what it is Lol)." He said staring into her eyes. Nahlia felt very embarassed, so deep red it had to be seen. Due to Hunters indifference, he wasn't quite the knowing person when it came to girls, so he didn't know why she was red in the first place. He shifted his eyes back to the Duel, still enamored, and very attracted to her beautiful eyes. Through her eyes, he could see a beautiful girl. He didn't much reveal it himself however, ignoring his own emotions to pay attention to the Duel.

Hunter noticed the other two men, that, though they had been watching, began Dueling themselves. He decided to take Nahlia with him, sitting in the grass with her to watch the Duel. Hunter was already becoming adjusted to Nahlia, letting himself talk to her as they proceeded to watching the Duel. As moves were made he began explaining strategies, cards, and other things to her, which would make her game better.
