[spoiler=Effect]When your opponent inflicts battle damage towards your Life Points, Negate the attack of 1 monster your opponent controls and inflict damage to your opponent equal to the battle damage you would have taken and take control of that monster if it is a Spellcaster-Type monster. The card can only be controlled until your End Phase or for 3 turns if you Tribute 500 Life Points.

pretty good for a first try but it is defenintly too strong. magic cylinder, which has a similar effect is limited to one per deck, and it doesn't take control of the attacking monster. maybe you could change it to that it only takes control of the attacking monster if its a spellcaster. there are also a few ocg errors, but those can be easily fixed. do that and it could be your first 10/10 card.

i agree it's too strong. but still here i corrected the ocgs:

 

Negate the attack of 1 monster your opponent controls and inflict damage to your opponent equal to the battle damage you would have taken and take control of that monster. If it is a Spellcaster-Type monster increase it's ATK and DEF by 1000.

 

here's a sugggestion how to make your card a little less overpowered:

Negate the attack of 1 monster your opponent controls and take control of that monster until your next End Phase. (or something like that :P)

oh and the name "Abra Kadabra" makes it seem like the card's effect is a magic trick

you should pay 1500 Life Points to take control of a Spellcaster for 3 turns,that would make this card more balanced
