Okay so I know it isn't entirly Advanced Format, but the deck works great for me and I wanted to show you guys.

this is just the new spellcaster deck with some crap thrown into it. if you want to make something out of that starter deck, get three magical cydals and 3 edoyn or what ever they are called. dont even think about dark magicians unless you have 3 skilled. also, three aprrentice, old vindictive and seer.

This is a better deck than what you have, and all you need to do is get 3 of the Spellcaster’s Command decks and exchange a few cards. It’s far from perfect, but fairly cheap and better than what you have.

Thanks for the suggestions. But as I already said the Deck works suprisingly well for me. The Arcane Apprentice helps get an Assault Mode Activate which can be Set and used to get out one of the assault modes the very next turn. Red dragon Archfiend clears my opponents field while I play monsters necessary to get out other big hitters like sorcerer of Dark Magic, Dark Sage, and Dark Eradicator Warlock (his effect rocks). Magician of Faith gets back those much needed spells and Dark Paladin can give someone an edge to the game. Also i dont have the cards to make the decks you suggested. And y stick 3 skilled dark magician in a deck, jabber, if there are no Dark Magicians in there?

I bolded what was wrong with your post.

 

First, Assault Modes really only work in a deck focusing around them specifically. Next, Sorcerer, Sage, and Eradicator are too difficult to summon and too situational to be of any use. If you do get them out, a player can Bottomless Trap Hole, Solemn Judgment, Mirror Force, or Torrential Tribute them. They are way too easy to destroy nowadays. Also, Magician of Faith is Banned in Advanced Format. Dark Paladin is only useful when using Elemental Hero Prisma's effect to send DM to the grave so that you can use Dark Magic Attack, Thousand Knives, and the like.

 

As for the Skilled DM's in my build, they are mostly Allure of Darkness targets and 1900ATK beat sticks.
