Flinsbon Posted August 1, 2009 Report Share Posted August 1, 2009 lol there was a tornado warning in Medford, NJ yesterday. That's just 1 town over from where i am - Marlton. But yeah tornadoes can't form near mountains because the air doesn't have enough room to start spinning and pick up enough speed. The same thing happens in cities. The buildings break up any air that could possibly form a tornado. Good thing, too... can you imagine what would happen if it were possible for tornadoes to hit major cities like LA, NYC, etc? BAD.
