Dark Magician/Dark Paladin deck

Recommended Posts

Finally got a chance to get some of the Duelist Pack Yugi Boosters. Bought half-a-dozen of the booster seals (Each one had 2 packs) with a $20 gift card at Wal-mart. I decided to do something with them and make a deck out of it. This is the build I want to ultimately create. I bolded the cards I actually have.

Monsters: 20

3x Dark Magician

2x Buster Blader

3x Elemental Hero Prisma (need 2)

3x Skilled Dark Magician

1x Toon Gemini Elf

2x Crystal Seer (need 1)

1x Breaker the Magical Warrior

1x Marshmallon

2x The Dark - Hex Sealed Fusion

2x King of the Swamp

Spells: 15

3x Polymerization

3x Toon Table of Contents

2x Allure of Darkness

1x Monster Reborn

1x Heavy Storm

1x Mystical Space Typhoon

1x Future Fusion

1x Fusion Recovery

2x Pot of Avarice

Traps: 5

1x Mirror Force

1x Torrential Tribute

3x Bottomless Trap Hole

Extra Deck: 3

3x Dark Paladin (need 1)

The basic goal is to get Dark Paladin out. Prisma helps with that, as does Future Fusion. King of the Swamp helps draw Polymerization. Toon Table is for deck thinning and Spell Counters for Skilled DM. Allure is draw power. Fusion Recovery and Pot of Avarice helps to get back Monsters and Polymerization for more Fusion. Traps are rather obvious, as is Reborn, MST, and Storm.

Deck works well in Stardust Accelerator, but I could use input and any fixes.

EDIT: After testing, I found that Pot of Avarice works better than Swing of Memories. Did add Dark-Hex.

Side Note: I got TWO Mirror Force with those packs, as well as TWO Marshmallon!!! What are the chances of that???

For the hell of it' date=' Dark Flare knight?

[/quote']

Absolutely not. It's way too inferior to Paladin. It's effect also sucks.

You've got no tuners -_-

Thus it would not hurt to put in your extra deck for.....

WAIT

WTF i thought his effect gained the attacking monsters atk.

nvm them.

maybe

- poly

+ fusion gate

I prefer Poly over Fusion Gate in this build. I'd rather my Fusion Materials sent to the grave so I can Reborn and Swing them back rather than remove them and not use them again.

Return from the different dimension helps that problem

It's also limited against the unlimited, costless, Swing of Memories and limited costless MR, even though they only fetch one, they're more reliable.

I still prefer Poly. I don't even have Fusion Gate IRL.

Return helps me use them only once, as they are removed at the End Phase. Also, Paladin can't be summoned via Reborn because of it's effect, so if all of my DMs and Busters are removed, I don't have any to reuse.

Also, Griffin has a point as well.

Add some of the DM stuff like those Knives and Dark Magic Attack. With Prisma they become easier to use.

Use Fusion Gate and Chain Material instead of Polys. That combo could net you three Paladins in a turn.

On the other hand you could forget the Summoning the Paladin stuff and use the Prisma/DM stuff as the main focus. Get some Stratos and Ecall in there too.

Think about decree and Jinzo too. That way you could get some lockdown going.

Like I said, I don't have Fusion Gate or Chain Material, so that's not an option. I have one Jinzo, so I might go with the Dark Magician/Prisma/Jinzo Lockdown stuff. Anyone have a decklist for that?

U could mayb put secret village of the spellcasters and

emblem of the dragon destroyer if your gonna keep busters in there

No. Just no. I don't really have enough spellcasters for secret village, and it's effect can be a hinderence when I have none on the field.

And Emblem is just useless. Yes, it can add Buster to my hand, but I have plenty of Fusion substitutes such as Dark-Hex and Prisma. I also have a good chance at drawing Buster without Emblem, and I'll use it right away for Fusion material.
