So hang on.....Shouldn't this then mean that the dvla suck? all this time their complaining about cars being damaged badly at high Speeds and yet at 5 miles per hour, car could be litrally destroyed? how weird lol as for the crash itself, maybe one of the cars parts where a bit old or somthing.

The reason they both fell apart is because they're designed to crumble and absorb the force of the impact. While this is, for the most part, safer than cars without this feature, it means that cars are damaged much more easily, and as a result, more often. This causes yearly automotive repair costs to increase by an exceptional amount. Its bullsh*t that the auto industry is and has been this deep in the hole.

Maybe they were rusty or ANCIENT.

Older cars would have barely been dented at 5 MPH. Cars from the 70s would barely be dented. But if you want to talk about durability, the 1949 Packard De Luxe could could run over a small tree without a scratch.

Meh, my grandma's is an 06.

I want my dad's car dead >.< it's a crappy, horrible looking, Honda from 1991. It's smelly, and is a piece of crap. It has trash everywhere, and stains.

But they say it's economical, so we needa keep it.

As to the ancient cars, the SUV looked kinda old. And Side mirrors are crap.
