YuGiOh: Battle for the Intercontinental Cup (Signups OPEN!!! 10 participants needed!)

The year: 2018. Time has allowed for great advances in technology and, as such, the game of Duel Monsters has changed. New monsters have been introduced left and right, some drastically changing the way the game is played. Classic monsters such as Blue-Eyes White Dragon and Dark Magician have been known as cards of legend and, as such, have received numerous support cards.

 

The game of Duel Monsters is still very much a competition. There are numerous contests and prizes scattered around the world, but none compare to the Intercontinental Cup, an invite only competition featuring the greatest of all Duelists. The contest, almost 50 years old, has attracted the likes of many Duelists of legend.

 

However, there's something...peculiar about the contest. For some reason, it seems to emanate an aura of evil, unnoticable to those who try not to pay attention to it. Unbeknownst to all Duelists, the creator of the cup--a person known only as 'The Headmaster'--is looking for something. And only the winner of the cup can grant it to him.

 

=====SYNOPSIS=====

You have received this letter addressed to you:

You have hereby been invited to participate in the 2018 Battle for the Intercontinental Cup. My scouts have been watching you over the past year and have concluded that having you in the competition would be most beneficial. If you may, please come to Reghi Island, home of the competition. If you decline, please note that your spot will be filled by another Duelist.

You decide to accept the letter and make your way to Reghi Island, a massive island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. There, you meet other Duelists and participate in the Battle for the Intercontinental Cup. However, something seems off about the competition. During your down time, when you are not training or Dueling, you investigate the competition.

No godmodding.

No bunnying.

Keep language/romance/violence to a minimum.

Literacy is a must.

Be creative with your characters.

10-line minimum.

Decks must have a minimum of 40 cards (max. 60).

Please list all Decks in spoiler format.

All Duels will be done through PM (more info below).

I reserve the right to edit my rules and refuse/boot any player at any time.

Current maximum of participants is 10.

=====REGISTERING=====

In order to register as a Duelist, you must have a Deck. The Deck--listed in SPOILER FORMAT--must have a minimum of 40 cards and a maximum of 60. You are allowed to create your own cards, even entire Decks. I will post the Deck the Headmaster will be participating as. All Duels will be done via PM, through me.

 

For example, Person A and Person B are Dueling. Person A and Person B both send PMs to me detailing their first move. I will then send PMs to them detailing each others' moves. This will continue until the Duel is won.
