God - A New Way to Win

Hey again, everybody! This is a concept that I've been considering for a while, but couldn't express it before finding this site.

There are a number of incentives for offering a large number of monsters as a tribute (Gilford the Lightning, The Wicked Avatar, Beast King Barbados, etc). Yet none that I have come across have a need for five, which would be quite a feat in today's tournament scene, even for the very best swarm decks. So, in order to reward people for pulling it off, enter God.

It has a low enough ATK to be searchable by Shining Angel and Nova Summoner. Don't worry; this isn't impossible to summon. Monsters like Kaiser Sea Horse and Gellenduo count as two, and Gellenduo stays on the field while Sanctuary in the Sky or Spirit Barrier is in play. Spirit Reaper can stay in play for a while, too, and Vampire's Curse can come back from any battle. Play a Mist Body to keep something else alive long enough. Victory Viper XX03 can send out his Option Tokens, and Gorz the Emissary of Darkness has the potential to bring out a powerful token. Running cards that replace themselves on the field (UFO Turtle, Masked Dragon, Troop Dragon, etc) can let you build up the required forces. However, beware cards like Mirror Force, Torrential Tribute, and Lightning Vortex. Against these, use Vampire Lord, since he will just come right back.

The only abuse card that I could find was Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth (what a mouthful). He, if special summoned, could end the duel right then. In addition, with A Legendary Ocean on the field, he is only a one tribute monster. If this is too much of a problem, then the only thing one can do (short of banning/limiting cards) is to add a "This card cannot be Summoned during a turn in which another monster has been Summoned" clause to the effect.

So, what do you think?

Pic isn't good.

offering = Tributing

your side of the field = your field

Way too overpowered, it's not hard to get 5 monsters. If you get Ultimate Offering it's a cake walk after that. Give it a bigger drawback.

Maybe 5 Ritual monsters would be harder.

Aside from that, really not bad a newbie.

5.5/10
