Ninjay
Recently, I posted a topic called "God - A New Way to Win." After a few comments, some explaining legitimate concerns, the topic was locked. I assume that it was locked to prevent a flame war, not because of the name (see explanation below); after all, the topic still exists; I just can't reply on it. Here I will address the holes in the card's effect and will put a revised version near the end. First, the language. It was brought to my attention, earlier this year, that the terms "Tributed" and "Tributing" are not actually words. Instead of using those forms of "Tribute," one can say "offered/ing as a Tribute." So I can't say "by Tributing 5 monsters;" even my spell check gets on to me. (-_-) Yu-Gi-Oh might be able to, however, since English is such a flexible language, and exceptions are made all the time. As for "your side of the field," I say that some cards (i.e. Manticore of Darkness and Energy Drain) featured the phrase, so I used it. It may or may not, however, be commonplace. If it is, my bad. Second, the name, and consequentially, the picture. They are not the result of me being a super-uber-religious crazy; they simply exemplify the primary traits of the cards: hard to summon, and powerful. Nevertheless, I couldn't care if you called it Master of Muppets or The Most Powerful Ewok Ever or The Final One or The Flying Spaghetti Monster or whatever. I agree that the name might not be perfect for the card, but it makes more sense than The Creator, who actually resurrects, not creates. The picture was the best one that I could find for it; after all, nobody's ever really sent us a painting down from heaven :D . It works. I could have put the Flying Spaghetti Monster on there :D . Lastly, and most importantly, the card's potential to be overpowered. I will certainly agree that against a noob, this would be fairly easy to pull off, especially, with a warrior swarm, zombie swarm, ultimate stall, or a Lightsworn deck. However, as the opponents get better and better, believe you me, it gets harder. As I mentioned before, the cookie-cutters actually do a VERY good job of stopping swarms (Mirror Force, Torrential Tribute, Lightning Vortex, Judgment Dragon, Dark Armed Dragon, etc). As for Ultimate Offering, I submit to you the following quote from the aforementioned topic: "The only abuse card that I could find was Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth (what a mouthful). He, if special summoned, could end the duel right then. In addition, with A Legendary Ocean on the field, he is only a one tribute monster. If this is too much of a problem, then the only thing one can do (short of banning/limiting cards) is to add a "This card cannot be Summoned during a turn in which another monster has been Summoned" clause to the effect." First, oops. Second, the same is true of Ultimate Offering. So therefore, the card should look like this to keep it from being overpowered. This card cannot be Special Summoned or Set. This card can only be Normal Summoned by Tributing 5 monsters from your side of the field. This card cannot be Summoned during a turn in which another monster has been Summoned. When this monster is Summoned successfully, you win the duel. This way, it cannot have a "quick summon" card that gets it out instantly. Even more difficult a goal to reach, one must keep ALL FIVE on the field for one turn without ANY being destroyed, nearly impossible with Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth and nearly the same with Ultimate Offering. This should balance the card out fairly well. If not, more comments, please. P.S. I also think "Chuck Norris" makes a good name for this card, but then it would just go in Pop Culture or Joke Cards, so I elected not to name it as such. ragnarok1945
5 monsters on your side of the field is still relatively easy to get out. Ultimate Offering will take care of that problem very quickly 6/
Eury
I hate auto win monsters. And I agree with Ragnarok cards like Double Summon, Ultimate Offering,Narrow Pass, Soul Exchange and Change of Heart will take care of the 5 mons problem real quick. 3/10 btw How long did it take you to type all that? Milk-Chan
If you made it specific monsters, like over so many stars, or ritual, etc. it would be more balanced. But nevertheless, having an instant-win effect throws balance out of the window.4/
cmc1234
dont post your card twice ok, and the effect is bad, it needs to have some sort of drawback, 5 monsters isnt that hard
Ninjay
Hmmmmmm... You're probably right, davidroof1; if someone made a deck specifically built around this one card, it probably wouldn't be too hard. The cards that you mention help to prove that point. In my opinion, it wouldn't be easy no matter what, considering the competition and sheer speed of today's meta. What if they had to be five level 5 or higher monsters, or perhaps even level 6 to get past A Legendary Ocean? BTW, it took me about 30 minutes to type my "article." antist0opid
If you used ultimate offering, you would have to pay 2000 then wait a turn and if your opponent uses lightning vortex or attacks and destroyes the whole field, the it will be hard as hell to summon. Maybe you should write in the effect that you should wait 3 turns after you summon it to automaticaly win the duel. Also try adding that the card cannot be destroyed by battle but you still take battle damage.
Eury
Also try adding that the card cannot be destroyed by battle but you still take battle damage. An auto win monster that can't be destroyed by battle? That would make it more broken than CED, Fiber Jar, or Exchange of the Spirit.
Ninjay
That's my point, antist0opid (nice name, me likey :D ); this card is hard to summon because, even in ideal circumstances, the opponent need only destroy one monster to knock you back at least one turn. Make no mistake, if this card was ever actually printed, at best it would be limited, but I think Exodia (all limited) is easier to play than God/Master of Muppets/The Most Powerful Ewok Ever/The Final One/The Flying Spaghetti Monster/Chuck Norris/whatever the politically correct police decide to call it. Fun. Oh so fun.
