Skippy_Canoe VS. Schyshter | MOVE, SCHYSHTER WINS!

The theme of this 1-on-1 is Staple Cards. As pointed out to me before, a Staple Card is a card in the TCG that is used in any deck, and is basically a must for any deck. Examples: Kuriboh, Man-Eater Bug, Lightning Vortex, Dreamsprite, Magic Jammer, Mirror Force, etc. The rules:

-Your card must be usable in any deck, and not specify certain monster names or archetypes.

-Your card must be balanced.

-Your card can be anything, such as a vanilla, Synchro, Spell, or Trap.

-The winner gets 3 reps from the loser.

-The first card to get 5 votes wins.

Votes should be mainly based on which card is more useful in any deck.

Lore:

When this card inflicts Battle Damage, switch its ATK and DEF, and destroy all Equip Spell Cards equipped to it. When this card is destroyed by battle, remove from play 2 Spell Cards in your Graveyard to return it to your hand.

Skippy:

Honestly, its effect isn't all that useful. (doesn't the current meta disregard equips anyway? idk). And 2500 DEF (regardless of its 0 ATK) is still really high for a 4star. This card is actually more useful because of its DEF than its effect >_>

Schyster:

Effect is kind of ambiguous...by "destroy your monster" do you mean the attack target monster, any monster, or this card? >_>

I'm going to interpret it as the attack target. Which makes the SS ability not nearly as fun as it could be. 1600 is high for a 3star.

However due to its ability to avoid battle damage (at least I'm assuming the monsters are destroyed before battle damage...you don't specify that either), and its easy Tribute fodder ability, I'm going to rank this card more useful.

Vote: Schyster. Barely.

:O

i thought it would be rather obvious: monsters are battling, so your monster refers to your monster that's being attacked, and your opponent's monster refers to the attacking monster. any monster would have been worded "1 monster on the field". the card could only target itself if it's effect was worded "destroy this card". honestly, i don't get how it could be that confusing...

yes, this guy's effect resolves before Damage Calculation. yet another thing i didn't mention cuz it would only be stating the obvious. note "When a monster on your side of the field is selected as an attack target". then, and only then, can you activate the effect of this card in your hand. how more clear do you want it to be...

ambiguous? if you can't read between the lines, yeah, maybe...

and i'm not complaining. just... correcting you. thx for the vote btw...
