(Protector of Plants//Plants' Protector)

This card can only be Special Summoned if you control at least 1 Plant-Type monster. As long as this card remains face up on the field, redirect all attacks targeting Plant-Type monsters to this card. When this card is targeted by a Spell Card, remove from play the top card in your Deck and negate and destroy the Spell Card. Increase this card's DEF by 100 for every Plant-Type monster on the field. If a monster with an ATK that is equal to or lower than this card's DEF attacks this card, destroy the attacking monster after the Damage Step. Once per turn, instead of conducting your Draw Phase, you can add 1 Plant-Type monster from your Graveyard or Deck to your hand.

This card can be Special Summoned from your hand by Tributing 1 monster you control. If this card is Special Summoned this way, switch its ATK and DEF. You cannot Normal Summon on the turn you Special Summoned this card. As long as this card remains face up on the field, your opponent must play all their monsters face up. If your opponent has any Set monsters when this card is Summoned, flip them face up. While this card is in Attack Position, it cannot be targeted for attack by EARTH monsters. If your opponent has only EARTH monsters on the field, this card can declare a direct attack. If this card attacks directly by this effect, halve its ATK until the end of the Damage Step. Once per turn, before your Battle Phase, you can select 1 card in your opponent's hand and discard it. If you activate this effect, this card is switched to Defense Position and cannot declare an attack this turn. When this card is destroyed, shuffle it back into your Deck.

First Card:

As long as this card remains face up on the field, redirect all attacks targeting Plant-Type monsters to this card.

=

As long as this card remains face-up on the field, your opponent cannot select other Plant-Type monsters as attack targets.

Second Card:

While this card is in Attack Position, it cannot be targeted for attack by EARTH monsters. If your opponent has only EARTH monsters on the field, this card can declare a direct attack.

=

While this card is in Attack Position, EARTH monsters cannot select this card as an attack target. If your opponent controls only EARTH monsters, this card can attack directly.

Both awesome pics. For the second card, kinda situational. My rate: 9.1/10

Good cards, both images are pretty good, I like the first over the second. The OCG is fine and the effects are creative.

This first card seems overpowered though, seeing as the only real drawback is the Summoning condition which is not all that harsh. However it is great plant support.

9/10

lolguys, I'm back. having a job is pretty much the ****. <_<

[spoiler=Kouba no Hogosha]...ew. 2400 DEF Special Summon, that's just lovelydoodles. Counting the number of things that can physically run that over at level 4... even Chainsaw Insect can't mess with that ***** (though with Skill Drain down [which it should be] he could do it. <_<)

Cards that protect themselves from target effects while face-up feel a little pointless to me. It's nice to offer the protection, but the small cost is unnecessary. If it was an in-hand discard, I could see an opponent wanting to waste out your hand and thusly trying to target this with Spells. Yet, the spell protection effect is so small that it wards away any attempts at doing so. Just a tiny bit broken for a free level 4 summon.

Hurr at the Thousand Needles effect. Who is going to expect you to set a level 4 monster with fricking 2300/2400 DEF first turn? Haha, poop on face.

Oh wait, let's add another not-level 4 effect to this card, and turn it into a Plant-type Freed the Matchless General, and spice it up a bit by adding an additional option to grab out of the Graveyard, which is kind of pointless. Oh wait, then let's make it better by removing the Level requirement! YESZ. Now it can grab whatever it pleases and far surpasses Flying Saucer Muu'siki(sp), Dark General Freed, and Freed the Matchless General! PLANTS 4 EVA.

This is a little bit over the top for one card, especially a level 4 monster. A manifestation of so many good effects really should be in a higher level monster. =/

Still, it does good things for plants, just a whole buttload of good things. <_<

7/10.

[spoiler=Hakonnen Windrunner]This card does a whole bunch of things that I don't really care about, but I see the most obvious use for it.

Normal Summon, discard a card from your hand, switch this into Defense Mode, lol 2300 DEF, enter battle phase. >_>

All that other stuff, the battling-through-earth crap, I really didn't like most of it. A direct attack for 1150 if you managed to Special Summon it, then can't be targetted for attack. It's okay. Into the deck when it's destroyed, oh noes.

The summon/discard/defend chain bothers me, though, and seems a little more abuseable than any EARTH stuff it could do. >_>

6/10

Cool stuff.

I like the second picture.
