It's not good' date=' IMO. It's to be free then be control by what some old guy said a thousand years ago, plus with science and LOGIC these days, this s*** seems ridiculous.

Hay. Hay you. Read the topic title.

You read it now? Now read it again, just to make sure you go it.

You got it?

Now look up the definition of "faith".

Here, I'm so awesome, I did it for you.

1. confidence or trust in a person or thing: faith in another's ability.

2. belief that is not based on proof: He had faith that the hypothesis would be substantiated by fact.

You can't blame him' date=' half the threads in this section are religious.

OMGAKITTY, I think the reason people don't want faith is because of:

[i']belief that is not based on proof[/i]

That, in a sense, IS religion.

Have you ever taken a test, and thought you would pass?

Or how about ran a race, and thought you could win?

Walked around late at night, and believed you were safe?

Asked a girl out, and believed she would say yes?

No, because I study so much and have a natural ability for acedmics, I know I will pass every test with some kind of effort, assuming I am aware of the material on the test.

I once played bowling, and because of immense practice the night before, I knew that I would get in AT LEAST 4th place (which I did), and knew I had a CHANCE at getting into 3rd or higher placements.

No, I never think I am safe, because the truth is, you never are.

No, I KNEW I had a chance, but it could have rolled either way. And hoping she would say yes wouldn't have changed the outcome anyway.

If faith makes us happier, wouldn't all the people who lack faith be emo?

Having faith is an extremely important thing. Without faith' date=' you could spontaneously explode and catch your tits on fire.

...

Hasn't happened to me yet.

You have faith in yourself...

And this debate should have died out ages ago.
