During the Damage Step, you can discard 1 Spell Card to increase the ATK of this card by 800 until the End Phase of the turn. A monster this card destroys by battle is removed from play and its effect is negated. I would think it would be:"You can discard 1 Spell Card from your hand to increase the ATK of this card by 800 during the Damage Step only."But you don't have many of the effects that would make it easier to understand what way that should be worded...
