Zyirth
hello! this is my current "MacroMonarch/D.D." hybrid deck. it's not exactly a bright idea, but I'm pretty comfty with the deck, and I'm not expecting to go to any major tourneys (I live in Mexico). anyways, here's the build. Monsters (20)Caius the Shadow Monarch x2Raiza the Storm Monarch D.D. survivor x3Cyber Valley x3D.D. scout plane x2Necroface x2Zombyra the Dark x2Gren Maju Da Eiza x2Breaker the Magical WarriorD.D. Warrior LadyExiled Force Spells (13)Dimensional Fissure x3Allure of Darkness x2Brain ControlMSTLightning VortexSoul Absorption (edit)Giant TrunadeRotAD.D.R.Soul Release Traps (7)Macro Cosmos x2RftDDTorrential TributeBTH x2 (edit)Reckless Greed now then, the general strategy of the deck is to cause as much havoc to the opponent by either removing or destroying their cards quickly, and by milling their deck using necroface + macro/fissure, or necroface + allure, or necroface + release, should it hit the grave. this also powers up Maju, giving me the chance to put a big dent on the opponents LP; or if I've already caused some damage, to go straight for the kill. the monarchs are there for the attack force, and for the removing abilities. I was thinking about adding a soul absoprtion to the deck, or at least siding it, since necroface's effect would give me a 5000 LP boost each time I'd use it; I've also thought of adding D.D. assailants or replacing the warrior lady for one of them. they just seem more useful overall. an extra soul release was also on the thought train, in case the graveyard would start to get more clogged than it should be. the flaws of the deck (as far as I've seen) are that I can get decked out extremely quickly if I start to abuse Necroface and its effect; and without a macro/fissure out on the field, it gets kinda hard to do any sort of play, since most of the strategy is based on removing cards. I had two krebons on the deck before, mainly used for stalling as I lack synchros and such. but I replaced them for Zombyras, mainly for the beatstick attack and allure targets. as always, any sort of advice is appreciated. bear in mind, though, that this is an IRL deck, and my funds are not that high. jabber2033
I would not mix Macro Monarchs with other decks. That being said, Macro Monarchs are (probably) the better way to go. This is how I would run Macro Monarchs: Monsters: 203x Caius the Shadow Monarch2x Raiza the Storm Monarch1x Thestalos the Firestorm Monarch1x Cyber Dragon3x D.D. Survivor2x D.D. Scout Plane2x Rose, Warrior of Revenge2x Krebons1x D.D. Warrior Lady3x Cyber Valley Spells: 143x Dimensional Fissure2x Allure of Darkness2x DDR1x Brain Control1x MST1x Reborn1x RotA1x Trunade2x Soul Exchange Traps: 71x Mirror Force1x Return from the Different Dimension2x Macro Cosmos3x Bottomless Trap Hole Main Deck: 41 (this should be fine. Just don’t go over) Extra: 15Generic Fairly basic Macro Monarch build and cheap. Has Rose and Krebons for Synchro material as well.
Zyirth
I'll bump this thread, as I still want some more advice on the deck. the build I was given was good, but I want to retain the necroface milling/ maju beatdown strategy. it doesn't have to be a primary strategy, though; I could side deck the necessary things, and change it when I have the need to try it again, hehl. anyways, the new banlist is going to change the deck somewhat: would adding more D.D. ladies be good? more breakers? an extra raiza would surely be good as well, replacing a thestalos, no?
