Max Darkness
Overpowered Card of the Day Reasons: It can't be targeted by Level 6 or lower Monster effects. That means all Flip Effect monsters, the Monarchs, the "Umi" archetype, a majority of the "Blackwings", "Relinquished" and every single non-Tribute monster have no effect on this monster. That's a lot of monsters! If you want a number, it's over 400 different monsters. Alongside that immunity to the Monarchs, it conveniently has 2500 ATK, 100 ATK more than the Monarch monsters. (And it also has 500 more DEF than the Monarchs for some reason) Wow, it's almost as if they wanted it to be broken... Can Konami make balanced monsters? Current evidence points to no. Headmaster Monokuma
That's freaking insane. I hate Syncros with a passion now. Relenquished, it's time to go kick the Synchros out of my area.
Master White
@Max: I'm on for a few, but I commented on your cards. Also, I will dock the power on the ritual just a little bit more, but don't worry bout that MSE editing, I really don't need it, it just makes them look cool, to me, that is. @Anyone: I would like to know if you could help me on this card here, in the spoilers. Its s'pose to look like a Normal Monster and is Treated as a Normal Monster, except it has an effect, but it is still treated as a Normal Monster. The archetype is called VNAEffect monsters. Its confusing, but a dream I had made me want to make these. So any idea's on how to make it better? Thanks.
LoreYou cannot Special, Normal, OR Flip Summon this card unless you Tribute one Normal Monster and one Effect Monster on your side of the field. This card is treated as an Normal Monster with the effect monster's effect used to Summon this card. I'd appreciate it. Thank you. Hope it's not confusing. Headmaster Monokuma
We don't play with the ban list. Unless it's cards like Monster Reborn. We don't use those, I guess you can say we have our own system of doing it. Luckly they don't know about the Yata Lockdown, so I get to try that out. Steps to being completely hated.1. Let them get out their strongest monster.2. Relenquish it to Reliquished.3. Summon Yata.4. ???5. Profit!!!
Max Darkness
@ XzY: Working on it. Watch this space. @ Shadow: But, like I said; "Relinquished" can't target "Turbo Warrior". Your only hope is for them to summon a second, stronger monster to destroy "Turbo" with.EDIT: Right, two versions of your VNA monster. The first is simply an OCG-corrected, Vanilla look-a-like of your original effect. The second is what I think the effect of a "Dream Warrior" should be. Effect: This card is always treated as a Normal Monster and not as an Effect Monster. This card cannot be Summoned except by Tributing 1 Effect Monster and 1 Normal Monster you control. Each time a Warrior-Type monster is Summoned, you can increase this card's ATK or DEF by an amount equal to that monster's Level x 100, until the End Phase. Once per turn, you can shuffle your hand and place it face-down on the field. Declare 1 Card Type (Spell, Trap or Monster) and select 1 face-down card. If you call it right, your opponent discards a number of cards of the selected type from their hand equal to the number of face-up Warrior-Type monsters you control. If you call it wrong, send the selected card to the Graveyard.

Master White
Thanks Max, and where did you get the pictures? Well, I was wondering if the second monster could still have the vanilla color in the background, that is how I saw it in my dream that is, and also, I never expected you to do two, thank you. Well, Now I can work on it so it works. I like the effect added you have, I will credit you, but It's s'pose to have a look of a Normal Monster, I just like the look. Its just an idea. But I will give you credit, thank you. So, they way I think it would look like is take V2's effect and name and put it on V1's background. If that is legal? Or would it not be, it would be a whole new thing, type deal. But I thought I might bring to you, b/c you are good at card making. P.S: What do you think of the idea? Also, I was going to throw these in the thread when I make it, but its not ready. But Thank you Sooo much for helping me and all. In the thread, I will give you credit to. So, 2 +rep coming your way.
Mr.WHAM
@Mark: Heavy, and lightning Vortext their field, or use the chaos emp & Black luster soldier versions..@Necro: Love the avi@Max: I've seen worse than Turbo warrior, But it defintely can be useful. Also the rarity of the card helps decrease its usefulness but its a Goyo & Brionac stopper, so + in my book.@XzY: ABUSE YOUR CARD W/Geminis@Everyone:More Fodder for me being a paradoxI have a confession. I like Synchros, or a good majority of them. They can be stopped or wasted. Hence why I like them. Also if it comes down to building an anti-synchro deck it can be done with cards like Success Probabilty 0%, which sends to cards from your opponents extra deck to the grave, although that could backfire if they use synchros w/Zombies like I do.But I don't think synchros are atrocious like some of you guys do. They are a new addition to the game and help to make strategies. They should be treated as proper cards and not things we hate. The heart of the cards is there. @alsoeveryone: I can't wait to find out who won the card contest from fox, I forgot to enter...ah well I guess I won't make Nayel. Mr.WHAM
What's wrong with Meta? Isn't that why they gave it to us? So it would be new and shiny and popular?
Max Darkness
Is this what you meant? Your last post was a little difficult to understand. And almost all the pictures I currently use are from Jazin Kay's archive.
Max Darkness
@ Whamo: 'What's wrong with meta?' Interesting and slightly naive question there. I'll tell you. It kills all other once-competitive Decks. It forces everyone to use the same two, maybe three Archetypes. It destroys all strategies that don't require the meta monsters. And it makes the game incredibly dull. It would be like going to a Pokemon tournament where everyone had exactly the same team. Same Pokemon, same moves, same items. All EV-trained identically, and all the same IVs. There would be no interest since it would be the same battle over and over again. And that's what the meta does to YuGiOh. It means that more players than ever before have almost identical Decks, and identical strategies. For example, now, every single "Lightsworn" Deck has one purpose. Stall and mill until "Judgment Dragon" is drawn. That's it. No skill, no tactics, just waiting. "Blackwings" and "Gladiator Beasts" are the same. Wait until you can get your most powerful Synchros and Fusions out. That's it. The only thing that makes these two slightly better than "Lightsworns" is that they have to keep their monsters on the field. Also, the meta game was never truly given to us. Players created it. Konami never foresaw the Yata-Garasu Lockdown; nor the Magical Scientist OTK. They may have thought about it, but it wasn't until tournaments where those combinations wiped the board that they were banned. The current meta has been made easier because Konami are now obsessed with Synchros and unbalanced monsters; so it's much less of a struggle to build a strong, competitive Deck. And the meta game is a joke when it becomes so, as you put it, 'popular' that no other Deck type nor Archetype is capable of resisting it. Even now, with RFP Decks possibly the only non-meta way of successfully combating "Blackwings" and "Lightsworns", Konami have decided to release "Beast Rage", which powers up Beast, Beast-Warrior and Winged Beast (aka "Blackwings") Type monsters for each RFPed monster of those types. Another thing: 'They are a new addition to the game and help to make strategies. They should be treated as proper cards and not things we hate. The heart of the cards is there.' Firstly, stop watching the 4Kids dub. And secondly, they don't make strategies, they destroy them. They are very powerful monsters that don't have to be drawn and can be Special Summoned, leaving you with your Normal Summon for the turn. Plus, how can they be taken seriously (and without hatred) when they look like they were made by a generic 2-star member of this forum? A few examples: - Blackwing Armor Master: Cannot be destroyed by battle, you take no Battle Damage, and can reduce the ATK and DEF of a monster it battles with to 0. Immunity to Battle Damage and battle were only ever paired before on low-level stalling monsters, or the trump cards of an archetype, usually with 0 ATK and DEF (think "Archfiend Matador"). Now, you have a Level 7 with 2500 ATK. That's a Level 3 and a Level 4. No tributes required, compared to a Level 10. And then you have the ability to affect a direct attack, considering the speed of the "Blackwings"; you'll have a second monster to carry out that attack. If "B.A.M." had been shown on this forum, it would have been ripped apart, due to it's inherent overpowered-ness. - Colossal Fighter: If Synchroed with 2 Warrior-Types, you have 3000 ATK off the bat. And if your opponent destroys it, it can resummon itself instantly. This is one of Konami's biggest blunders. Since it can Special Summon itself, it can ram into something then bring itself back. And if it's destroyed and then summoned during it's controller's Battle Phase, it can attack again. This is shown brilliantly in a duel puzzle from "Stardust Accelerator". Using "Colossal Fighter", you have to defeat your opponent (with 2800 LP) in one turn. They have three XYZ-Dragon Cannons on the field (2800 ATK). To solve the puzzle, you activate "Skill Drain" (keeping "C.F." ATK at 2800) and proceed to ram each and every one of your opponent's monsters. Since your Synchro is destroyed each time, it can resummon itself. So you end up with a single monster attacking four times in one Battle Phase, destroying three monsters and attacking directly. Fair huh? - Drill Warrior: Simple effect. If you halve its ATK (2400) permanently, you can attack directly. Now, apart from 1200 ATK being the highest direct attacking value, "Drill Warrior" has a different effect. You can remove it from play during the End Phase for a turn. Now what that does it remove it from the field, thus resetting its ATK value. So when it comes back, it once again has 2400 ATK, ready to halve to attack directly again. Interesting isn't it? While with other cards, you have to use something like "Book of Moon" to reset their values, this one does it automatically. If, Whamo, you can justify any of these effects, then I shall reconsider my view. And as for "Turbo Warrior" being a "Goyo Guardian" stopper, it has 300 less ATK. @ Clair: If you are to combat Synchro monsters with stronger Synchros, why is Konami bothering to release the non-Tuner or Synchro "Fabled", "Elec" and "Varion" monsters? Why not just produce only Tuners and Synchros and kill YuGiOh now, instead of dragging it out until the end of "YGO 5Ds"?
