If I had a Sceptile since it was a Treecko I would teach it:

Iron Tail

Dragon Pulse

Leaf Storm

Leaf Blade

That's not brilliant. A Sceptile's greatest strength is it's Sp. Atk. Therefore it should know:

Energy Ball

Dragon Pulse

Hidden Power (if possible) / Giga Drain

Hyper Beam

That would take advantage of it's brutal Sp. Atk. And its Atk, even with a positive nature and a huge number of EVs will fail to break the 300 mark while its Sp. Atk could reach almost 340.

Actually sceptile's strength is its speed. It has a base stat of 110/120 with the potential to be faster than Arecues at lvl 100

And i chose the moves of of diversity....but Energy ball is weaker than leaf storm and i'm going for a 1-hit kill...and if that doesn't work, i have dragon pulse & Iron tail...

Actually sceptile's strength is its speed.

Speed alone doesn't win battles (think Ninjask: Fast but rubbish); you need Atk or Sp. Atk to deal the blows, and Sceptile has a lot more Sp. Atk than Physical.

And i chose the moves of of diversity....but Energy ball is weaker than leaf storm and i'm going for a 1-hit kill...and if that doesn't work' date=' i have dragon pulse & Iron tail...

Why not choose a Special STAB move instead of Leaf Blade? Plus, Energy Ball may lower the target's Sp. Def, allowing you to do more damage while Leaf Storm always lowers your Sp. Atk, weakening your next move (and has less PP so is worse if you have a resistant foe).

Plus, Iron Tail, since it's a Steel-Type move, is only good against Rock and Ice-Type Pokemon; the former you'll be using Grass-Type moves against and the latter you wouldn't be using Sceptile against. Also, Iron Tail won't damage Fire, Water, Grass or Electric-Types, which are some of the most commonly used types.

The only Pokemon that can truly diversify are Pokemon with both high Atk and Sp. Atk; one being Salamence (Dragon Pulse, Flamethrower, Brick Break, Thunder Fang for example). There aren't many of them so you might as well play to one of the attacking stats.

Just a couple of new cards from me; nothing special:

2rxv53p.jpg

p><p>This card is also treated as a Machine-Type while face-up on the fieldand in the Graveyard. When this card is Synchro Summoned, inflict 200 damage to your opponent for each card they control. As long as you control a different face-up Dragon or Machine-Type Synchro monster, this card cannot be targeted by Trap Cards. When this card destroys a monster by battle and inflicts Battle Damage, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the destroyed monster

Effect: This card cannot be Special Summoned from the Graveyard or Removed from Play Zone. This card can only be Special Summoned from the Extra Deck when a face-up "Mecha-Blaze Dragon" you control is destroyed by an opponent's card effect. This card is also treated as a Machine-Type monster while face-up on the field and in the Graveyard. When this card is Special Summoned, inflict 300 damage to your opponent for every card they control. As long as you control a different face-up Fusion or Synchro monster, you can negate the effects of Spell or Trap Cards that target this card. When this card destroys a monster by battle and inflicts Battle Damage, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the destroyed monster's Level x 200 OR discard 2 cards from your opponent's hand.

Thoughts?

NOOOO. D:

Hyper Beam is terribad since it basically gives your opponent a free turn. Plus, Scep doesn't even get STAB from it. Scep should basically be utilized for it's Speed. Sub-seeding.

Substitute

Leech Seed

Hidden Power (Ice)

Energy Ball

It's annoying to fight, but that's the way I like it. ;D

EDIT:

Max.

You are the best cardmaker on YCM.

It was there because Whamo said he was going for the one-turn kill, so Hyper Beam (or Frenzy Plant) is was.

And did you know Pidgey could learn Faint Attack? I didn't until last night when it hatched with it. It's brilliant!

Thanks. No really' date=' thank you.

And some more:

[center']1zx9vgp.jpg2hphxcg.jpg

Effect: This card cannot be Special Summoned from the Graveyard or Removed from Play Zone. This card can only be Special Summoned from the Extra Deck when a face-up "Delphic Mastare" you control is destroyed by an opponent's card effect. This card is also treated as a LIGHT monster while face-up on the field and removed from play. Once per turn, you can discard 1 card to Special Summon 1 removed from play monster in face-up Attack Position or remove from play 1 Level 6 or lower face-up monster your opponent controls.. During each of your End Phases, you can remove from play 1 card in your Deck to add 1 removed from play card to your Deck. Your Deck is then shuffled. When this card battles with a non-DARK monster or is destroyed, remove from play the opponent's monster after damage calculation.

You should post those beauties in RC.

Sceptile isn't really built for an OTK. It needs some setup first. Like...

- Swords Dance

- Leaf Blade

- Earthquake

- Rock Slide / X-Scissor / Substitute

Life Orb / Liechi Berry / Salac Berry

Overgrow

252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd

Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)

That's what my Scep looks like. ^^

Ratatta can learn Endeavor and Quick Attack when it hatches, making it more godly than any other hatched Pokemon.

Also, now your Pidgey can fight... Ghosts and Psychics. Cool beens. <3

I've posted the first two in RC, albeit as Level 8s. I thought Level 6 was pushing it for the effect and ATK.

That Sceptile looks very ARed...I'm just saying...

It can also know Flame Wheel(!) Isn't that brilliant if your opponent thinks Rattata can't hurt their Sneasel!

And all Pokemon can of course learn their parents moves, so a few of my hatched Pokemon have movesets from their Lv.80-100 TM and HM-ed parents. (Squirtle Lv.1 with Waterfall...not bad)
