Max Darkness
~Espeon Lv. 80 [Modest] Double Team' date=' Shadow Ball, Psychic, Morning Sun~Crobat Lv. 80 [Jolly'] U-turn, Air Slash, Cross Poison, Roost~Typhlosion Lv. 78 [i forget] Flamethrower, Eruption, Focus Blast, Sunny Day~Lapras Lv. 75 [Modest] Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Sing, Surf~Ampharos Lv. 78 [impish] Substitute, ThunderPunch, Focus Punch, Thunder Wave~HM slave(s) [Who cares] Situational Ampharos is the only problem. It has high Sp. Atk and you clearly used your Thunderbolt TM on Lapras. If you can, give it this moveset: Thunderbolt, Signal Beam (more useful than you might think), Power Gem (again, quite useful) and Thunder Wave. @ Whamo: Are you insane?! Blast Burn takes a recharge turn, and Solarbeam is a liability at best. And why on earth would you teach a Pokemon who is heavily biased to Sp. Atk a physical move? Typhlosion can only truly use special moves.
Shadow Zero
...and dont get me started on Blackwings...Fix'd. =3See you in a bit DarkMark. So I have a fail for you all that happened in school. Me and one of my friends were talking about Transformers' date=' and he brought the topic to Megan Fox. So, this other kid, Matt, says "Oh! She's that athlete from Vancouver, right?". He wasnt kidding.[/quote'].............Seriously? Okay, you did give him his lifetime supply of fail sauce, right?Argh' date=' stupid page glitch. What's the cause of it, really?[/quote']No clue' date=' not at all. Any comment on the fail I posted?[/quote']*points to above*And I have said I don't know how many times. the cause of the NPG is people deleting their posts, and continued post deleting only makes it worse.I just beat the main game of HG guise~ ~Espeon Lv. 80~Crobat Lv. 80~Typhlosion Lv. 78~Lapras Lv. 75~Ampharos Lv. 78~HM slave(s) Awesome' date=' no? Mr.WHAM
Max Id rather have a move that recharges a turn than a move that depends on my health and Solar Beam is and always has been useful do to fire especially when fightung weaknesses And half of what i said was Sp. Atk max, i looked it up bulbapedia... And taught Ty dynamic punch back when it didnt matter.. And shadow, Blackwings cant beat x-sabers. Im serious about that too. Max Darkness
@ Whamo: You mentioned Focus Blast and Hidden Power. All the others (the majority) were physical moves. And what's wrong with a powerful first strike? If you have Eruption, you might not do a huge amount of damage, but you'll still hit them hard; while if you charge up Solarbeam, you're killed by a Hydro Cannon/Pump. And FYI, it did matter back then. In Gen II, all Fighting-Type moves relied on Attack for their strength, while for example, all Fire-Type moves were based on Special Attack. Therefore, while Fire Punch was a solid option for Typhlosion back then, Dynamicpunch wasn't. (Plus...50% accuracy and only 5PP...I'd use Thunderpunch any day.) Mr.WHAM
Thats why I had a wonderful typhlosion...I know it doesn't make sense but I do get awseomely luckyand Max your logic applies in the same wayIf you are going against a water type and use eruption little damage donevs Solar beam which could very easily be an instant kill And by the way, my typhlosion never died when it was surfed or hydro pumped unless it was low on health or not past level
Max Darkness
Did your Typhlosion ever face an equal-levelled Starmie? Because that will kill it. (Also, a large number of Water Pokemon have high Sp. Def) And even if you survive the first hit, you're going to be hindered due to your lack of HP. You might as well just switch out. Mr.WHAM
Well at the time no one had a level 90 starmie but usually with water pokemon I just switched out to lanturn one of my favorites

Friggin Epic[/quote'] ~SolarBeam would be pretty lulzy with S. Day, but it wastes a move slot. D: Either way, it wastes a turn. Plus, I don't get STAB.~Blast Burn/Giga Impact costs me a turn, which could be a vital one.~DynaPunch has accuracy issues, and it's not even in TM form anymore. D: It's okay not to have physical moves all the time, guys.
Headmaster Monokuma
Eh, I don't really use Physical. I prefer Special attacks. Anyway, I have to log off now. Bye everyone.
Max Darkness
@ Clair: It's alright, but recommended that you have at least one if possible, in case your opponent raises solely their Def or Sp. Def. On a related note, all this talk of Gold and Silver is making me want to dig them out again and see what I used.

Of course you need at least one physical move on every Pokemon you competitively battle with. No physical moves whatsoever would result in an instantaneous fail.
