inui uchiha
lets be civilised and debate this to try to reach a conclusion to the big Q on YCM! So, What do you think?
Dark
Why this is in debates, I do not know. My first point to make is that changing Fairy into Angel or changing Fiend into its Japanese counterpart is not a fake type, and the people who believe that are morons and should go die in a hole. Realistic cards are supposed to be for cards us (YCMembers) think Konami would make, not be OP'd or UP'd, and obviously be realistic. Konami would not make a Cat-type card, so it should not be allowed in Realistic. Simple. Any Other (if that still exists) is fine, but its not Realistic. Fake Types are not creative, unless you come up with something like Ghost, or Spirit, or something that would be of use. Making a god damned Cat-type or Dog-type card is stupid at best. Its simply a way to classify the card so you can use effects that would affect type. Making a type called "Ghost" wouldn't be any more creative than "Cat". Fake Subtypes however, can be incredibly creative.
Raelen
Using fake types is fine, although it is severely frowned upon on YCM. Posting cards with fake types are not realistic and should, at least, not be posted in realistic cards. Making cards with fake types is fine but they shouldn't be posted on the forum unless you want to get yelled at. ^_^

It is still considered a type, even though it does not show up on American cards. Realistic cards are cards similar to what Konami has been creating, and I don't see how using Cat or Machine / Cat makes it anymore or any less realistic. I was referring to worth in terms of creativity, since that is the topic at hand. A fake type does not show creativity. And again, would not be realistic, according to the quote above. inui uchiha
What I ment by "creative or crazy" was just a title and not the basis of the debate, sorry for the confusion. The fake types are uncreative if you dont put any effects around them, but if you manage to weave effects into the fakes, then that is bieng creative, is it not? OMGAKITTY
Well those effects would work just the same with real types.....
inui uchiha
but then they would apply to cards that you dont mean to have them apply to. and if they go into Pop Culture cards then arent they supposed to not follow all the rueles of yugioh?
