Umbra
When I read the chapter, and with the easter-egg in the back of my head, I began to think of the location. Perhaps it has got something to do with it? I haven't watched the original animé, so I don't know if it has something to do with that.
Dr4gnFire
Great fanfic, I just started reading it. There are some errors in places, but nobody's perfect. 10/
Kocrow17
Thanks for the posts everyone! I want to see a whole bunch more after this chapter! New Characters:[i do not own the character designs. I merely use them as an example of the likeness of my characters. I do not claim ownership of them.] “I activate Final Attack Orders (Continuous Trap)! Now all monsters on the field are changed to attack position!” Owen watched the four eggs on his side of the field bounce into attack mode. Each of them only having three-hundred attack points. Even against the cute little eggs, Naomi continued to show no mercy. “Now my White-Horned Dragon attacks your little golden egg token! Since it’s in attack mode, you’re about to take a whole lot of damage!” The dragon raised its head and slammed its shining horn down onto a small egg on the opposite field. NAOMI: 3100OWEN: 0 “Thanks for the duel,” said Owen, giving a small bow. “No problem,” Naomi said back. She then turned her attention to Icarus. “Think we should go looking for Clovis now?” she asked him. “Yeah,” agreed Icarus. “It’s getting late.” The sky was beginning to darken. The two of them ran off and Owen walked into the park’s forest. “You did well,” congratulated a voice from within the woods. Owen kneeled before the shadowy figure who addressed him. “Thank you, Lord Alexander. Was my duel long enough for you to read her?” “Yes, I can see everything now. She carries with her a power that rivals my own. The shadow of a great beast that came to life in your duel. Not only will she prove an asset, but she is also the leverage we need for Nathaniel to join our little organization.” Marcus stepped forward from behind a tree. “Alexander, why couldn’t I have dueled her? I know her personally...” “Do not worry, my friend,” said Alexander advancing on Marcus. “You will be dueling her tomorrow. I trust you to make her see the light.” Chapter 9: What’s happened to me?! Guiding words of the “game master” shopkeeper! Clovis opened his eyes. He no longer felt the cold hard pavement beneath him. But a nice soft bed. Had that whole thing only been a dream? Clovis looked around the room. The walls were painted blue and on the opposite side of the room was a small wooden desk. The door to the room opened and an elderly man wearing a bandana stepped through. His hair was grey and he was rather short. “Ah, I’m glad you’re awake,” he said to Clovis. Clovis sat up and continued to look at the room. “Where am I? Who are you?” The older gentleman smiled. “You can call me Gramps. All the kids these days seem to call me that.” He let out a chuckle. “This is my grandson’s room. Though he hasn’t been home in quite a while, so I decided to let you rest here. Now, it’s my turn to ask who you are.” “My name is Clovis. What am I doing here?” “Oh, you don’t remember? I was walking around with a friend of my grandson’s when we found you passed out on the sidewalk. He collected all of your cards and carried you here himself.” “Um, thanks... Gramps.” There was a moment of quiet before Clovis started talking again, unable to bear the silence. “So... Can I have my deck?” “Don’t worry, it’s going to be dropped off at my game shop later today. He apparently wants to meet you himself. Until then, why not come to my shop with me? I could use an extra set of hands unloading the new card packs that arrived.” Clovis, feeling he needed to repay this old man for his kindness, nodded his head. * * * * * Clovis was amazed at how many games the owner had crammed into such a tiny store. He was also amazed by how heavy a box full of cards can be. While he was working, Gramps continued to keep their conversation alive, asking him question after question. “Duel Academy you say? Could this mean you are in the Kaiser Grand Open?” “Yup.” “How many wins have you gotten so far?” “Well... None actually. Lately, I haven’t been able to focus in a duel.” “Oh, what’s wrong?” “I don’t think it’s something you could help with.” “I think you'd be surprized. I’ve lived long enough to be able to solve any duel monster related problem.” Clovis tried to avoid the subject, but Gramps continued to persist until Clovis finally caved. He told the story about his duel with Nathaniel. How he came to realize the existence of his “gift” and how it affected him. “...It’s like I’ve been cheating my entire life...” he explained. But this story only made Gramps laugh. “This Nathaniel friend of yours really seems to think he knows more than he actually does. There is no “magic gift” that can let you draw any cards you want.” “But, when I duel, I always seem to get every card I need to win.” Clovis has stopped working and was slouching against a pile of boxes just behind the counter. “That isn’t because of some hidden power you posses. It is because of the trust you have in your cards, and the trust they share back with you. Every duelist has the ability to draw the cards they need, they just need to believe in their decks to do so. A duelist not only can become stronger by believing, but they can also become weaker if they lose this faith. You aren’t ‘cheating’, you are playing to your fullest potential.” Clovis thought for a moment. Maybe Nathaniel knew all this already, thought Clovis. But still, why did he need to lie to me to win? Does he have no faith in his own cards... The door to the shop opened, the bell hanging above it rang. Clovis and Gramps looked over at a man wearing black and red clothing walk into the shop. “Good to see you on your feet,” he said to Clovis. “The name’s Duke Devlin.” Duke ran his right hand through his bangs. “Uh... Hey. I’m Clovis... You have my deck?” “Right, guess you can’t keep a duelist from his cards.” Duke pulled a deck of cards from his pocket and handed them to Clovis. “Are you entered in the Kaiser Grand Open?” “Uh, Yeah. Though I’m not doing so well so far.” “You know, I’m in this tournament myself. You want to duel?” Clovis looked down at his cards. I let my cards down, he thought to himself. Can I really duel with them now, knowing the trust we shared could be gone? I was so willing to let them lie there on the sidewalk and get taken from me... Duke’s cell phone rang and he answered it. “Hello? It’s good to hear from you again. I’ll come pick you up right away.” Duke hung up the phone and turned his attention back to Clovis. “Sorry, I have to go pick up a friend at the airport. I hope we get another chance to duel.” “Oh, no problem. Thanks for picking up my cards.” Duke gave a wave and headed out the door. As he was leaving, a new person entered the shop. Clovis instantly recognized Damian, who did a double-take at the person who had just left the shop. “Was that Duke Devlin?!” he asked Clovis. Clovis nodded and Damian’s jaw dropped. “That guy is a gaming legend! How did you get to meet him?!” Clovis shrugged. “I just sort of bumped into him. What are you doing here?” “Oh, right. Naomi and Icarus sent me to help look for you when you didn’t come back to the ship last night.” “Last night? Was I really asleep that long?” Clovis looked back at Gramps who nodded in confirmation. Even then, Clovis had a hard time believing he had passed out so long. “Oh, right. Damian, this is Gramps.” “Nice to meet you,” Gramps said happily. “Are you also from duel academy?” “Yup, back in my day, I was the best.” Damian said proudly. Gramps closed his eyes and nodded, arms crossed, as if able to relate to what he was saying. There was definately a sense of deep pride within him. Clovis laughed. “You, the best? You couldn’t even beat Bahrei.” “It’s true!” Damain protested. “Before Icarus and Nathaniel came to duel academy, I was the number one duelist!” Clovis stopped laughing. “Are you serious?” Damian pulled down his collar and revealed a silver chain around his neck. He tugged at it and pulled out the same silver duel academy emblem that Nathaniel wore on his jacket, and Icarus wore inside his coat. “I’ve been at duel academy longer than anyone. I'm going to outlast Nathaniel and get back my title.” Clovis couldn’t believe this. The same Dark Magician Girl obsessed nut who had dragged him around the fan club was actually once considered the best at duel academy. “Come on, Clovis, we have to get back to the others,” said Damian as he opened the door, satisfied with Clovis’s reaction. “It was nice meeting you gramps.” “Wait,” said Clovis. “I challenge you to a duel!” Damian was taken by surprise by this challenge. “I thought you already had a few loses. If you lose against me, won’t you get kicked out of the tournament?” “I don’t care! I’ve already lost to Nathaniel! I can’t have a fair duel with Derek! I need to know I have what it takes! Will you accept my challenge, or not?” Damian looked at the determination in Clovis’s eyes. “Alright,” he said. “I’ll duel you.” * * * * * Clovis and Damian stood outside the hobby shop, about ten metres apart. Each had draw their hands and were ready to duel. Gramps stood just outside the shop. It had been a long time since he saw a real duel. “I’ll start off!” Clovis drew his card. The sickening feeling of guilt he had experienced in his duel against Sidney was gone. “I’m setting two cards face down! One of them is monster, and the other one, well, you’ll just have to guess!” “Draw!” said Damain. “I summon Dark Magician Girl (4/2000/1700)!” The card appeared on the field. From it, emerged Dark Magician Girl. She had her gorgeous blonde hair, and blue and pink uniform. Her body was flawless and her eyes seemed to glow with magic. She gave a flirting wink at Clovis. “Wait a minute, Dark Magician Girl is a high level monster! How can you summon her without a tribute?” “Don’t you remember, Clovis? I showed you this card the day I showed you the club house...” “Here is our collection of every edition of Dark Magician Girl card ever made! Even the incredibly rare misprinted one where she’s a four-star monster!” “Even though it’s a misprint, the duel disk still reads her as a level four monster,” continued Damian. “Think of her as a legal way of cheating. Next, I’ll activate Trade-In (Normal Spell). I’m discarding Magician of Black Chaos to the graveyard so I can draw two cards from my deck. Since Magician of Black Chaos is now in my graveyard, my Dark Magician Girl gains three-hundred extra attack points (2000 –> 2300). You wanted to play in the big league, so here I come. Dark Magician Girl, attack his face down monster!” The face down card flipped over and the monster was revealed. It was nothing more than stalk of bamboo. Dark Magician Girl unleashed a pink sphere or magical energy from her wand that destroyed the plant monster. “Bad move! That was my Mythic Bamboo Stalk (2/0/700), and when it’s destroyed, I get to summon it back to the field and turn summon it! Now introducing, Kaguya-Hime (4/1900/700)!” The bamboo split open and a small woman fell from its inside. The short girl soon grew to regular adult height. Her skin was pale, and draped around her was a red kimono. “I always found your turn summons interesting. This ‘Kaguya-Hime’ is quite the looker, but she’s no Dark Magician Girl. I’ll set two cards face down and end my turn.” “No Dark Magician Girl? How about this little lady then! I summon the Teahouse Waitress, Kiyohime (4/1400/200).” An innocent girl in a red and white kimono appeared next to Kaguya-Hime. “I’ll even dress up Kaguya-Hime with my Prism Edge (Equip Spell). Now when she battles with another dark monster, like your Dark Magician Girl, her attack points double.” “We can’t have that, can we? I activate one of my face downs, Collected Power (Normal Trap). I choose a monster, like my Dark Magician Girl, and now she becomes equipped with every equip card on the field.” The rainbow sword disappeared from Kaguya-Hime’s hands and became equipped to Dark Magician Girl, who seemed at awe by the flashing light of her new weapon. “Then it looks like I’ll have to use Prism Edge’s second effect! I’m removing it from play to change your Dark Magician Girl to another attribute. How does a fire monster sound?” Dark Magician Girl was disappointed at the loss of her new toy. “Looks like I’ll have to resort to plan B. I activate my face down card, Spirit Lantern (Normal Trap)! It turn summons both of my legend monsters on the field.” “A double turn summon? Glad I was here to see this.” Kaguya-Hime shrank back to the size of a grain of rice and was resealed into a bamboo stalk. Kiyohime on the other hand, began to grow. Wings sprouted from her back and her skin turned to scales. She had become a large dragon that filled most of the field. “Meet, Vengeful Kiyohime (8/3000/2100)! Kiyohime, take a bite out of Dark Magician Girl!” “Not so fast! I activate Magic Cylinder (Normal Trap)! It reverse your attack back at you!” CLOVIS: 1000DAMIAN: 4000 Damian smiled. “So Clovis, still think you have what it takes to beat me? I’m sorry I have to be the one who kicks you out of the Kaiser Grand Open. Just remember, you asked for this.” “Don’t count me out yet! I’m ending my turn, which means Prism Edge, since it was removed from the field by its own effect, returns to the field. I’m equipping Prism Edge to Vengeful Kiyohime.” The sword returned to the field, Kiyohime gingerly holding it between two large talons. “My turn! Now, I know that even if I boost my Dark Magician Girl’s attack, as soon as she battles with your Kiyohime, Kiyohime will have its attack points doubled. Don’t think I forgot that you changed my Dark Magician Girl to a fire monster. So instead, I’ll have her attack your bamboo stalk!” Dark Magician Girl launched another glowing sphere of magic. The bamboo was destroyed and Kaguya-Hime took its place again. “To follow up, I’ll activate Magical Dimension (Quick-Play Spell) from my hand. I tribute my Dark Magician Girl... to summon another from my hand!” “What the point to that?” asked Clovis, scratching his head an a new Magician Girl took the place of the old one (6/2000/1700 –> 6/2300/1700). “The point being that this new Dark Magician Girl gets to instantly destroy any monster on the field without ever needing to battle it. So, goodbye Kiyohime.” Another flash of magic, and Kiyohime vanished. “That’s not all, my new Dark Magician Girl gets to attack your Kaguya-Hime!” Another missile of pink energy launched from Dark Magician Girl’s wand and this time consuming Kaguya-Hime. Clovis: 600Damian: 4000 Clovis lowered his arms from in front of his face. He had shielded himself from the flash of that last attack. His entire field had just been eradicated. Was this a mistake? Clovis asked himself. “I’m setting two cards face down and ending my turn. Welcome to my level of dueling!” NEXT TIME: The Spellcaster, the Demon, and the DJ Duelist! God GAK
*speechless* it's been a long time since i havent read an episode! i read 7-9 and they were super awesome! good job man!
Umbra
Well, this episode wasn't that much, was it? The four-star misprint DMG that qualifies as a four-star makes me wonder how the Duel Disk actually reads the cards. Everything else on the card qualifies as the DMG, but it's suddenly a four-star? It just doesn't work. The duel itself was nothing special, really. Rating: 7 / 10.
Alordzynix
Four Star Dark Magician Girl? Me wants Four Star Blue-Eyes XD. Nice chapter dude. I hope we get to see Duke Devlin Duel. Logmon1
...I'm strating to see why your characters go undefeated, they all cheat... Blech, bringing in canon characters, bad move. Already they're both acting out of character, digging a hole for the rest of their time in this fic. I'm so happy you brought my fourth favorite dragon in. YAY WHITEHORN! Rating:Chapter- 3/10, cheating, although mild, but the canon characters really kills it. Clovis is really strating on the path of a Mary Sue. Better be careful on how they do from here-on.Over all- 4.5/10, Canon characters, Mary Sue-dom starting, a rather cliche element in both the main and small sub-plot. Also, your characters are... flat.... Especially Icarus and Nathainal...
Kocrow17
Gotcha, hold off on the canon characters. Technically, only Damian and Sidney have cheated (Though you could count Nathaniel when he screwed with Clovis's head, lol). Don't worry, Icarus is about to get in some developement in the Duel Chapel arc. Chapters 10 and 11 are pretty much filler until I get the story back on track. Kocrow17
I'm writing the end of Chapter 10 now, so it should be up shortly. Esu will be appearing, but he won't be duleing until Chapter 11, lol. I'll give you an advanced copy of chapters 10 and 11 as I finish writing them so you can look over and make Esu more like himself (as I'm most likely going to screw it up, lol). Hah' date=' I completely missed this chapter ^^ Very nice, I enjoyed finally seeing Damian duel. (also, when you made the misprint, did you intend for it to be used like this?)[/quote']Yes. When I was writing my plot outline, I decided that Damian would reveal his "misprinted" DMG as a sort of foreshadow of his future duel where he would start off with it. I knew I wanted him to have at least one DMG that could be summoned without tribute. Thanks for readin/posting.

Kocrow17
Ok, a few ppl have come to me on MSN and talked to me about continuing my fanfic here on YCM even though I have left. I will, only because I can’t leave it with no ending, but there will be a few changes: 1) No hyperlinks to cards. This takes up more time than you may think. 2) No bold text. Same as above. Takes up time. 3) No more videos/AMV’s I was planning to make for this series. 4) More grammar errors. Will have less time to proofread. 5) No more pictures to represent my characters. Also, I will be adding A Turn in Destiny to my new blog, www.godkazearchive.spaces.live.com/ I don’t have chapter 10 finished... only because I needed a break from a Turn in Destiny with this new series I started writing and getting pics for a few weeks ago (before quitting). I hope you enjoy this preview, here is the first half of the first chapter: Title Banner[i do not own these character designs. I only use them as an example to the likeness of my own characters. I do not claim ownership of them.] Jace leant against the school’s wall. Small groups of students were scattered amongst the school grounds, heading for the exit. Jace was off to the right of the entrance, between the building and one of the two fountains, each on an opposite side of the entrance. Jace looked down at the white envelope in his right hand. After school had ended, he had gone to his locker and found this love note inside, neatly sitting on top of his shoes. The note was from a secret admirer who had asked to meet with him outside the school. This was a real shock to him because girls had never really shown any interest in him whatsoever. He always considered himself to have an average appearance at best and seemed to act too much like a child for any of the girls to think about him seriously. Closing his eyes and placing his arms behind his head, Jace thought about all the girls in his class. If he was lucky, it would be that cute blonde, Rachel. She’s so cute, thought Jace. I was so lucky to get a spot sitting behind her. She smells soooo nice. Plus she has those huge - “E - Excuse me...” Jace jumped and spun around quickly, the voice had taken him by surprise. It was definitely a girl’s voice. Just as Jace was facing the direction of the girl, he felt his left heel hit the brick rim of one of the school’s large fountains. He began to swing his arms wildy, trying to keep his balance, but it was futile. Jace fell backwards and braced himself for his imminent collision onto the stone base of the fountain. But it never came. There was a loud splash and Jace found himself surrounded by water. He swung his arms beneath him, but there was no solid ground, only more water. Panic began to spread through Jace. He was drowning, sinking deeper and deeper into the ocean the fountain had kept secret. Unlike most of the students in his class, he had never bothered to learn how to swim. Looking up at the surface, Jace could make out the silhouette of someone looking down at the water. He knew it was the girl who had spoken to him, she must have been the one who had left that note in his locker. He had only seen a blur of her as he was falling. Then, he saw something else. His duel monster cards had come out of his pocket and were floating above him, being lifted up to the surface. Oh no, thought Jace. If I’m gonna die, at least let me die as her crush and not the loser who played with trading cards. One of the cards wasn’t rising to the surface like the rest, it was instead sinking, heading straight for Jace’s hand. Jace reached upward and touched the card. It was strange, but even though he could feel his lungs burning to the point he would soon have no choice but to inhale, allowing water into his lungs and killing him, he still wondered what card chose to stay with him. There was another splash and Jace hit the ground. More importantly, when he hit the ground, he felt the pressure of the water vanish and he was able to inhale safely. A gentle wind blew across his face. A small gust moved the grass to all around him, tickling him skin. He was in a meadow, no water in sight. “Where am I?” he asked. Only after saying it did he realize how overly cliche it sounded. He looked around and sure enough, he was in a large open field. Large boulders lay here and there, and in the far distance he thought he could make out the line of trees that could be a forest. Jace felt something on ground next to him. He looked down and lying there on the grass under his finger was one of his monster cards. But not just any card, his favourite one. Jace sprung to his feet and held the card up to the light. In a way he felt like he wasn’t alone. Now came the hard part, finding out where he was. Not knowing where else to go, Jace slid his card into his shirt pocket and headed in the direction of the forest, the only thing other than meadow he could see. * * * * * “Somebody help me!”came a cry for help. Jace looked around, trying to find the source of the plea. Running from the forest was a girl wearing a school uniform from the same school Jace went to. “Hey!” Jace called out to her, waving his right hand. The girl noticed him instantly and ran behind him, using him like a shield. “What’s wro-” A large heavy creature swung down from the closest tree of the forest in front of Jace and the girl. It’s body was massive and green. It walked on its hind legs and one of its muscular arms carried a large wooden club. Brown plates armored its shoulders and arms. Its head was traced with a ring of black hair and the menacing face it bore was a combination of both beast and man. It swung its head forward and let out the deep roar of a gorilla. “B- Big baboon,” said Jace. He didn’t know what else to say. The creature was tall enough to pick him up with one hand and place him on the roof of a house like an ornament. The ape let out another roar, club raised above its head. It swung the club downward towards Jace, who quickly grabbed the girl by the wrist and pulled her out of the way as he dodge. When the club collided with the earth, the force sent Jace and his classmate falling to the ground. Jace quickly lifted himself up and looked up at the monkey, who was pulling the club back again, preparing for a second strike. Jace looked next to him at the girl. She was having a hard time getting back up. The baboon let out a snort from its nostrils. Jace turned to face it. It felt like the creature wanted him to look at it when it finished him off. Jace had no idea what he was doing, but he got up to his feet and held out his arms in front of him. He didn’t know how, but he was going to protect that girl, even if it costed him his life. The baboon swung its club down a second time, but this time, Jace wasn’t moving out of the way. He closed his eyes and got ready for the impact. REMEMBER TO ALWAYS PROTECT THE LIVES OF THOSE WHO CANNOT PROTECT THEMSELVES. Jace had no idea where the voice had come from, but he felt a strange new hope sweep his body. This must be the feeling of being a hero, he thought. He opened his eyes, and was shocked to find, the club was floating in midair in front of his left arm. The baboon looked as though it was struggling to push the club through some invisible force. That’s when Jace noticed a feint outline between his arm and the club. The outline slowly began to fill in with a dark-red colour. Jace then realized he was holding a red shield with a gold trim. The colour spread to his entire body, becoming red and gold armor identical in design to his shield. His right arm suddenly felt heavy. Jace looked down and saw a small sword in his right hand. He couldn’t explain it, he could hardly believed it, but he had just become his favourite monster card; Breaker, the Magical Warrior. “.... Monster Guise,” Jace said to himself in astonishment. Those words had also come from seemingly nowhere. The gorilla gave up, pulling his club away and jumping a few feet back away from Jace. That’s when Jace noticed the monster’s green skin had some peculiar black markings on it. The design looked like serpents coiling around his body. It was clear to Jace now that this world had some connection to the card game he played. He now recognized his attacker as Green Baboon, Defender of the Forest. Though he still wasn’t sure what those markings were, he just knew he had to get rid of them. Jace looked down at the round sphere embedded into his shield, wondering if he possessed the same power Breaker had in the card game. He tapped his sword against the sphere and the sword instantly began to glow. Jace looked over at the Green Baboon, which was now beating its chest with its fist. Without knowing how it would work, Jace swung his sword forward, the tip pointed at the raging simian. “Spell Break!” The light launched from the sword, streaked across the gap between him and his target, and struck Green Baboon hard. Green Baboon was thrown onto its back. The tattoos on its body faded. It lifted itself into a sitting position and started looking around, confused and scratching its head. Jace smiled, it looked to him like the problem had been solved. Jace turned his attention back to the girl. He dropped the sword in his right hand and reached out to her. She took his hand and was pulled to her feet. “Are you alright?” asked Jace. “Uh... yeah,” she answered back. “Um... my name’s Jace,” he finally said after a moment of silence, unsure of what to say. “I’m Cecilia, but everyone just calls me Cili. How did you- LOOK OUT!” A dark shadow had appeared over them. Jace quickly turned to see the Green Baboon was back on its feet and was swinging both its arms downwards towards him. “That’s enough!” yelled Jace. He ducked under the fists and pressed his shield against the attacker’s chest. Again, the words instantly came to him. “Magical Blast!” A sphere of swirling magic was fired from the shield’s center, the embedded sphere, and moved across the field at a tremendous speed. The baboon was being carried with the blast, yelling out a roar. The sphere and the baboon eventually stopped when they each collided with one of the large boulders among the field. The boulder shattered, the blast dissipated, and the baboon was left lying among the rubble. Jace breathed in and out heavily. For some reason, that attack seemed to have drained him of his energy. Then, without warning, the armor, the shield, and the sword each vanished in a flash of golden light. The monster card that was once in Jace’s shirt pocket was now in his right hand, appearing just as the equipment had vanished. Jace collected his breath for a moment and then walked over to the body of the beast. Cili followed, but was careful to stay behind her savior. Jace kneeled down, the Green Baboon looked as though it was unconscious. “Is it...” Cili began. “I’m not sure...” Jace said, reaching out a hand to touch it. As soon as his finger made contact, the entire creature’s body began to glow, and slowly, it shrank into a small card, nestled on top of the blades of grass. “...Is that what happens, when you die here?” “I- I don’t think so. I think I did that...” Jace picked up the card, it was in fact, the Defender of the Forest. He added it to his right hand with his Breaker card and shoved both into his jean’s right pocket. Next came a long moment of silence. They looked at each other, both knowing what they each wanted to ask, and both knowing neither of them had the answers. Where were they? How did they get here? Why did that monster attack them? How had Jace transformed? These were all questions they’d have to search for the answers to. Not knowing where else to go, they looked towards the darkened forest, and wondered if it would answer their questions, or just create new ones. The full rest of this chapter, and the rest of the story if I continue it, will be on my blog. A Turn in Destiny Chapter 10 coming this weekend!
