danilyu
This is an interesting Archetype, but I think Forbidden Spell of D'Void is too situational. It could be just me, but I wouldn't count on the opponent using a Dark Magician unless if you somehow use your own Dark Magician to work with the D'Voids. Anyways, I give the list of cards a rating of 8/10 Link to comment
-Griffin
The D'Void Magicians are kind of like the Dark Magicians evil counterparts like the Evil Heroes to the Elemental Heroes. Hope you like them. D'Void MagicianLV:7/DARK/Spellcaster/Effect MonsterATK: 2500 DEF: 2100Effect: If your opponent control 2 or more monsters' date=' you can Normal Summon this card with 1 Tribute. If this card was removed from play, Special Summon this card in Attack Position during your next End Phase. [b']Abusable in RFG Decks or generic DAD/ect Decks, many cards RFG Darks in the Graveyard for effects or costs, Gold Sarco instantly Summons this, as does Foolish with Macro or Fissure, it should probably have a limit to how it is removed (card effect, or not for card effect), where it is removed from, or similar[/b] Lady D'VoidLV:6/DARK/Spellcaster/Effect MonsterATK: 2000 DEF:1700Effect: This card gains 300 ATK for each "D'Void" monster in either player's ?Graveyard. Once per turn, remove from play 1 DARK Spellcaster-type monster in your Graveyard and destroy 1 monster on the field. Might combo too well with Summoning the first one, unless you fix it as I've said. Otherwise, powerful Beatstick and monster Removal, but probably not 'broken' as such, considering how powerful many cards are now. Apprentice of D'VoidLV:3/DARK/Spellcaster/Effect MonsterATK: 500 DEF: 300Effect: Tribute this card to Special Summon 1 "D'Void Magician" from your Deck, that monster cannot attack this turn. Instant 2500 beatstick for no cost? Similar cards, like R-Eyes B. Chick and Creator Incarnate; Summon from the hand, which is more balanced, this is probably just a little fast for a very minimal requirement/drawback. Forbidden Magic of D'VoidNormal SpellActivate only if you or your opponent controls a "Dark Magician" on the field or graveyard. Pay half of your life points, remove all Dark Magicians from play and Special Summon as many "D'Void Magician"s from your deck, Hand or Graveyard. Your opponent gains 1000 lifepoints for every "Dark Magician" removed by this effect. Too situational, will never be used, bad card unless you run Dark Magician and Creature Swap, even then, it's not really worth it. I also fixed the wording on all cards except the last one, which you should re-design completely since its effect is hard to get working well, no-one runs Dark Magician. It's kinda nice to see some new faces in this section. Welcome to YCM and the written cards area ^_^ Link to comment
CrabHelmet
D'Void Magician - so, it's basically D.D. Scout Plane with 2500 ATK? Yeah, that's not a good thing. Lady D'Void - did you mean to make the effect compulsory? Apprentice of D'Void - What. Forbidden Magic of D'Void - so, you remove a Dark Magician from your Graveyard and instantly field 7500 ATK worth of monsters? This is balanced... how? Link to comment
sora200115
I just bumpped up a few more cards and changed their effects to make them a little fair. Tell me what you think. And I like to thank Griffin999 for helping me see what I need to change a bit. You are a big help. :) Link to comment
danilyu
I would like to post some feedbacks on some cards: -I think Lady D'Void is more overpowered than Dark Magician Girl because of the possibility of the abundance of D'Void monsters that can give you a high ATK beatstick with 1 Tribute. Perhaps you can change its effect so that its ATK gain is per D'Void monster with different names? -I still think the Forbidden Magic of D'Void is too situational. I don't think it's every day that you see a Dark Magician deck from your opponent, and I don't know if this archetype is worth it to stick some Dark Magicians in your deck just to use this card. I have a suggestion for this card's new effect (less situation and perhaps more practical), but whether you want them is up to you: Forbidden Magic of D'VoidQuick-Play Spell Activate only when a "D'Void" or "Lady D'Void" is on the field or in your Graveyard. Pay 1000 lifepoints. Remove "D'Void" from play and during the end of the Chain, Special Summon 1 "D'Void Magician" from your Deck, or remove "Lady D'Void" from play and during the end of the Chain, Special Summon 1 "Lady D'Void" from your Deck. You can use this card to "dodge" destroying cards, but again whether you like them or not is up to you. Link to comment
