Infinitus
OOC: You don't go there without meh! Besides, it won't be a portal of swurling fire anyway, if you were paying attention to the plot. Kenith looked around broken and abonded hotel, as a direction as to where to go. He then looked into the sky with annoyance and said "Where is my destiny, then? Where is 'who I am'? What am I supposed to be doing? Where do I go next? Whoever you are, did you think this through very well?" Suddenly, and without warning, a board fell from the ceiling above a wood, dusty, and broken down staircase with a nail on the board, and landed with a thud. It spun on one of the steps for second, until the end with the nail in it landed in the direction going up the staircase. Then, with an awkward smile on his face, he looked back into the sky and said "Thank you!" He then slowly creeped forward towards the staircase, fear overwhelming him, yet he kept walking as the boards creeked beneath his feet. He finally began creeping up the staircase until he finally reached the top floor. He remembered that this floor was never finished, and had nothing in it. He was compelled to turn to his left, to see a mirror, full length, touching the ground, about the same size as a door. Curiosity compelled him to also move towards the mirror, moving around old hammers and pieces of wood. He finally confronted the mirror and stared into the mirror, and all fear turned into a feeling of ominous power around him. It was strange, and as he stared into the depths of the mirror, he was no longer afraid. The voice spoke again, and this time, Kenith was in perfect sync, as he said the words along with it, and he was not afraid anymore. He said, along with the voice "This...is your Destiny..." He touched the mirror, and he disappeared into a flurry of light.

shadowferret
Walking around the church without a clue where to go, Heinrich was beginning to get frustrated. That voice... it seems to have gone... Maybe I'm just hallucinating. As he turned one last time to leave the church of the unknown religion behind, his foot got caught on a loose board in the floor that had been sticking up a little. Trying to get his foot free from the hole, he accidentally kicked it into the air. Looking down at the hole, darkness was below, but also a faint light."Eh?" Heinrich quickly got to his knees and peered down into the hole, then noticed that the floorboards around that spot were loose. Curiousity getting the best of him, he began ripping off each board, ready to reveal whatever lay underneath.13 boards and 7 minutes later, Heinrich was looking down at... his own reflection. Above him, a mural he'd never noticed was reflected in the large mirror he'd just uncovered. The mural showed an army of strange, black creatures running towards a collection of orbs. There were 13 smaller orbs, colored different shades of blue, each somehow connected to larger orbs. The two larger orbs were both painted, one completely black and one completely white."Hm... an odd painting..."As he stared up to admire the actual painting, though, he felt the sudden compulsion to look back down into the grand mirror. He felt the presence of someone else all around him, as the voice returned to his consciousness. "This... is your Destiny..." The words didn't seem foreign to him at all. He felt his lips moving as the words sounded in his head, and he heard them echo through the church's pews. He slowly stood up straight, standing to his full height. Then, without so much as a look down, he took one step forward, slowly edging his body off the floorboards and into the hole.Heinrich didn't remember falling very far. All he remembered was a blinding light that clouded his vision as he fell into the Mirror.
Desu the Blue Nerd
OoC: Sorry I haven't posted yet. My computer bugged out on me and I was at a friend's yesterday. Well I'll try to get this through everything that has already happened. IC:Hyoma had been relaxing in the middle of the family garden with his swords resting to his side. He had actually been up since the crack of dawn with his normal everyday routine. Nothing very noteworthy. In fact he was getting bored of it all. Life had just seemed to go by without a single change nowadays. Today he jut felt like something was different though. He didn't know what. Just as if something would happen. "Your destiny is time..." He grabbed his swords and jumped up to locate whoever said that. When he came to the conclusion nobody was around and it must have just been exhaustion, boredom, or maybe both playing tricks on his mind he put his swords back in their holsters. But before he knew it he was walking out of the place. But he didn't feel like struggling. "You must not be afraid of your destiny.....your mission...." Now he started running to who knows where. He knew he wasn't crazy and that just raised his curiosity. The voice was compelling and curious. The running wasn't being forced. "You must not fear....who you are..." A smirk came across his face. "Who said I was scared?" He neared a hill with a lone old shrine on it. He slowed down when he entered the building. It seemed as if he had complete control back. He entered five feet into the shrine and looked around seeing nothing very special. When the plave was left for a ghost town everything seemed to be taken with it. "This is it? Was my head just playing games with me then?" He sighed and turned around. The floor the gave in. He opened his eyes to see the only light was made through the one hole. He looked behing him to what seemed like the actual shrine was a mirror. Hyoma felt an ominous power around him. He said it along with the voice, "This...is your Destiny..." He touched the mirror and dissapeared in a flurry of light.

OOC: Alright, I gave this thing a HUGE chance for anyone else who wanted to join. After this, NO ONE ELSE will be accepted. Sorry people. Kenith arrived on a cloud, in a yellowish and light filled sky. There were tons and tons of other clouds around him, and the atmosphere was so heavenly. So undisturbed, so peaceful. When suddenly, a giant staircase that led upward, yellow railing and everything else white, appeared before him. His curiosity tingled, and his urge to go up the stairs could no longer be held back, and before he knew it, he was putting one foot in front of the other towards the staircase. He climbed the first step, and the next, and the next, and the next. When suddenly, the stairs on the staircase slowly began to move downward towards the cloud. He then sped up his pace, and continued his advances. The stairs then began to go faster downward, and Kenith began to jog up the stairs. The steps began to go faster downwards, and Kenith began to calmly run. Then the stairs went at an extremely quick pace, and Kenith was barely making advances on the staircase as he ran his legs as fast as they could go. OOC: You all must create your own difficult test for your character. I don't want to see them going threw it like nothing, I want it to be a CHALLENGE. bury the year
(((In the future, I request that you don't necro significantly-dead threads, or I will lock them.))) "So, here we are..." Staring up at the rickety-looking building, Tate gave a slight sigh of despair. The building was 20 stories high, quite average in Telescopium, but that wasn't what he was upset about. No, it was the small cardboard sign taped to the grubby glass door from the inside, the words on it hastily written out in permanent marker. ELEVATORS ARE NOT OPERATING, PLEASE USE FIRE ESCAPE. ;D The cheesy emoticon tacked onto the end boiled the teen's blood to the point where he really wanted to punch through the door and send thousands of sparkling long jagged-sharp shards on the concrete ground where some innocent passerby could step on them and impa- "No!" Tate exclaimed, gripping his forehead. "No longer," he continued, some poise returning to his voice. There were still some side effects from the operation, evidently. Dropping his hand to his side, he pushed open the door swiftly and strode into the lobby, leaving it to swing behind him. Heading over to the elevator, he made a quick examination of the electronics. If what he thought was correct... Snapping his fingers, Tate smiled, a rare sight, and removed his left glove, muttering to himself as he did. "It's just a depleted circuit on the control panel. If I apply a shock to the right place, it should boot back up again for a bit." Pressing his uncovered index finger to the panel, he took a deep breath and locked his jaw while pooling his concentration to his third cervical vertebrae. The control mechanism for the Kanzeon Interface was located there, and the above actions were to activate it. The teen continued for about two minutes, only stopping when the familiar "ding!" rang out and the elevator doors slid open. "Thank you, karma," he quipped while stepping in. There was no-one around, so the teen was thankful that the nonexistent audience wouldn't see his actions if they were present. However, Tate's peaceful train of thought was interrupted by the sharp ringing of his phone. Picking it up, he noticed that there was a new text message. However, the text was heavily scrambled and infected, and only one word jumped out. |)3$†!|\|λ Frowning, Tate pocketed the device. 'Just who the hell's trying to play me for the fool?' shadowferret
Heinrich awoke choking up water. He quickly sat upward, expelling as much liquid as he could from his throat."What the...?" He felt his back soaked. His lower half was completely soaked and frigid as well."Where... is this place....?" Standing to his feet, Heinrich became aware of the water falling on him. He looked up to the source of the rain."Now.... that doesn't make sense." On the ceiling, there was only a small hole about the size of a person. It looked like if he somehow got up there, he could barely squeeze in.However, rain fell like normal. It defied all kinds of logic, but so did most of this situation."So now.... what do I do?" Heinrich looked down at the ground, and noticed that the rain had nowhere to drain from. The water level was slowly rising up his legs, and he soon realized that eventually, the water would engulf him."Crap, crap, crap, crap..." Then, another realization. "Wait, if the water rises, then I can eventually float to the top and get out through that hole!" Heinrich felt so clever at this thought. So now, all he had to do was wait. "Figures." When the water had gotten close to the top, he noticed an iron grid below the ceiling. It was much too thick to try to break through, and the links were much too tight to squeeze through. "Back to panic mode..." As he began looking around frantically for a way through the grid, he didn't notice the Thing.Heinrich was about to peek through the iron grid when a large set of claws slammed down, startling him and causing him to drop a little in the water. When he resurfaced through the water, the nearest claw was inches from his face. A set of huge teeth greeted him as he looked up into the creature's face. It had no eyes. It had no ears. The face just looked like a head with teeth. The beast was a quadriped, and on each foot it had huge claws. It was a pure black colour, and it had a very deep growl."What the hell is that?!" It snarled once more at him, before charging at the wall nearest it. It crashed through, and Heinrich could hear a rumbling throughout the walls. He had a bad feeling about what would come next. A loud crashing like an explosion was heard, and Heinrich looked down. Rubble flew through the water, and the creature propelled itself like a jet towards him."Oh, bugger..." He watched as it sped towards him, teeth bared. There was no way he could escape that quickly. He felt a tugging, though, and realized the massive hole in the wall was acting as a vacuum for the water. He got pulled away by the new current, and the creature almost got him. It sped by right behind him as he fell through the hole, into a kind of tunnel. You have many paths before you to choose from... Trust your heart, and Destiny will tell you which paths to take... That voice again. Heinrich closed his eyes for a second, trying to calm his heart down. When he opened his eyes, he felt an odd strength throughout all of his limbs. The water rushed down through the tunnels, rushing him through them at a high speed. Behind him, the Beast was rushing towards him, so Heinrich had to push himself forward a little just to avoid being devoured. The first fork came quickly. He had no time to choose -- left or right? He blinked for a second, and before he knew it he was speeding down the left path. He felt the tunnel curve somewhat upward. The water pushed him up the path, and the blood rushed to his head a little as he turned upside down. The Beast came closer, and snapped its jaws once at him. He barely avoided its deadly grip, and felt himself being propelled on a level path again. The water rushed beneath him, pushing him fast towards another fork. Not knowing which path to take, he started panicking again. The Beast clawed at him, ripping his shirt a little, and scratching his back. He tried to jump forward to dodge, but failed, and hit the wall at an angle. He bounced, and ended up falling down the path on the right. Thankfully, he still went rushing ahead, and he thought he chose the correct path.Unfortunately, though, the Beast followed him. He sped forward as much as he could not wanting to receive another swipe from the creature. He learned how to anticipate the attacks pretty well, and when the next fork camee was when the trouble began. He thought to take the right path again, but at the last second chose to take the left path instead. The Beast followed, and within three seconds he felt himself hurtling through the air. The tunnel had ended, and he looked down. The water fell into the abyss below, and he saw nothing around at all. You have strayed from the path of your Destiny... You must get back onto your path or be lost Forever... Looking back, the Beast was soaring through the air behind him. The water was still rushing below them.He did his best to turn around in the air and face the Beast. Heinrich didn't know why he did what he did. He just felt the urge to do it.The Beast opened its mouth, and engulfed him into its mouth. It was large enough to fit his whole body in it, and the teeth were razor sharp. He curled up into the back of the Beast's mouth, not wanting to get chewed up.Outside of the Beast's body, it sprouted wings, and flew back to the large room. It had tried chewing Heinrich the whole time, but he kept dodging its teeth. It wasn't a very easy task. When he heard the clash of metal versus claw, he knew he was back in The Room. He kicked at the Beast's teeth, trying to break out, but failed."Oh, come on! I've gotten this far!" He began kicking at the Beast's gums, and at the roof of its mouth. Finally, he found the back of the throat, and kicked it as hard as he could."Have you got a gag reflex? Let's see!" The creature choked a little, and quickly spit him out. Heinrich rolled along the metal for a second, then stood up, covered in water and saliva. He ran towards the Beast, and as it opened its jaws, Heinrich leapt in the air. It looked close enough. He thought he could do it.As he jumped through the air, he looked down and saw that all the water had drained out.Heinrich landed on the Beast's back, and climbed up one of its massive wings. He used it as a support to climb up the hole, and almost had his leg bit off as he finished climbing through. He'd escaped. Your Destiny awaits you...
