Plot:

Seven years ago, a company called Trigon developed a machine that allowed Humans to enter the duel monsters spirit world. Humans began to colonize the vast new frontier. However, the human presence soon became too much for the spirit world to handle, and its pure energies were corrupted by the darkness in human nature. This caused that world to shatter, and the duel spirits migrated to earth, and both spirits and humans settled into an uneasy 3000 year peace...

After three millenia, much of the world's history was lost to the general public. Only those in Trigon, now the most powerful organization on earth, know of the blunder which destroyed the spirit world. The planet's population, both monster and human alike, live in a low standard of living due to the earth sheltering two planets worth of life. However, the old machine is still functioning, and through its power, huge deserted sections of the technologically advanced spirit world have begun to appear and land all over the world. Those who explored these new lands earned the truth, and using the technology found there, formed an organization called Truth to wage a war on Trigon and tell the world of their ancient wrongdoing. As the war escalated, more pices of the spirit world are appearing, and this massive conflict centered on control of these fragments. Now, a large futuristic city, known as arcadia, is predicted to manifest in what once was the east coast of america, and forces from truth and Trigon have arrived to await the fight for control of the largest fragment yet to appear...

 

Battle system:

Duelist soldiers fight using a DS Enhancer. These contraptions resemble duel disks without the blade. They have two card slots, one for the duelist's monster card, and another for activating a spell or trap. Duelists fight with one partner monster, and any weapons of their own. the monster card is linked through the DS enhancer to the monster and human's souls. If one dies, then the other does as well. Spells and traps have real world effects (a trap hole will create a hole in the ground, for instance). As for the armies, truth usually carries better equipment (i.e. better spells and traps plus other actual weapons), while Trigon has more soliders. Also, truth tends to have more experianced duelists.

Character biography: Allen was born in a large city under trigon control, but ran away after he found out about Trigon's ancient mishap by sneaking in to their local HQ. He met up with truth operatives after nearly dieing out on his own in the wastelands that were once the mid-west. While in their care, it was discovered that he had amazing duel potential, and was enlisted into their ranks and paired with a Stardust dragon named Astrum, and the two became nearly inseperable. He has been dispatched with his unit to the projected sight of arcadia's appearance. He is tired of the constant fighting, and would rather see everyone getting along, but still fights for what he believes is the right reason. He is calm, humle and gennerally pleasant.
