Skateboarding

Does anyone skate? Well I haven't noticed this topic yet...and I need to pass the time so I get comments on my newest custom cards.

Ahhh...from Ollies to Kickflips to Nosegrinds, skateboarding is popular around the world. There are many brands - DC, Globe, Habitat, Element, Birdhouse, World Industries, DGK, Alien Workshop, Plan B, Baker, Flip, Blind, Powell and Shut just to name a few! Games revolving around skateboarding - the Tony Hawk games. Now, you don't have to skate with your fingers when you can't skate for real! - e.g. broken leg, raining or hailing. But fingerskating is good for school, jobs etc.

Discuss.

I would much rather play video games (one step down) or play a REAL sport (one step up) instead of going half-way with skateboarding. It looks cool, but I suck at it, and it has to be mild weather (neither hot nor cold) to skateboard, and Boston is the opposite of mild.

A good friend of mine taught me how to skate. I'm one of the best skaters, whose a girl, at my school. I enjoy it a lot, but since I'm damn clumsy, I get injured a lot with it too.

Though, the only time I can skate is when I go to that friend's house. He has two boards, so we go down the roads together and what not. My mom won't buy me a skateboard because of my injuries I previously got from it. Though, I still skateboard.

And my friend lives a few houses down from mine, so I skate quite often with him.
